First positives: Staff are lovely but worked to the bone by the owner who does not see that these poor reception people are exhausted. Not enough staff for the volume of people coming in and out. Front desk looked tired and stressed out. I felt for them but this is an operational problem which could be resolved but isn't. The porters are amazing. Kind, responsive, helpful, intuitive. Thank you Loic and team. Breakfast is excellent.

Negatives: Our room was not clean on arrival. Cobwebs on the ceiling and disinfectant left in the bathtub, used tissue in a drawer. Rooms are tiny, though our piste view was glorious. Storage badly designed. The safe is on the top shelf of the wardrobe so unless one is 6ft tall, you cannot see what you are putting in or taking out. Toilet was so tiny one had to go in sideways past the toilet in order to actually get in the room and shut the door because the door opened inward 1 cm maybe between the door and the toilet seat. The bed was comfortable but when we asked for feather pillows from the pillow menu, it took two days to deliver.

There was hardly any place to put ski equipment like gloves, boots, and ski clothes. We asked for a table to be brought up to put our ski equipment. That took several days and several requests. The bathroom was fine. Shower was very good though a badly installed glass shower screen meant the whole floor was covered in water after a shower.

Further, for two nights in a row, (33% of our stay) the bathroom stunk like sewage fumes leakage which actually permeated into the bedroom. Two nights of this and not so much as an apology as we had to vacate the room in the evening so they could try and get rid of the stench.

Our phone to get the front desk was broken the entire week we were there.

Despite asking for several issues with the room to be resolved, it took days to get it sorted if sorted at all.

Multiple trays of dirty dishes were left in the hallway, likely because there were not enough staff to tend to it and of course we could not call down to the front desk as they did not answer.

The spa was ok but the pool stunk like chlorine. Sauna's were nice.

We expected on check out, at least some adjustment on the two nights we had to vacate the room due to the sewage fumes let alone all the other problems with the room. The managed said the room was going to be blocked for two days to repair the issues once we checked out.

However the owner who is not on site, is arrogant, rude and disrespectful (evidenced by his replies to other negative reviews here) and responded by saying 'we are sorry the room did not meet your expectations'....never even apologised but simply instructed the manager to say there was nothing they intended to do.

What a shame as the location, the overworked staff and breakfast were lovely but clearly the owner is putting profits before clients and that a sewage stink in rooms is normal for a five star establishment.

It’s was amazing every time,but in December for huîtres for us forget to give fork and bread and butter,and this time forget one plate 😂🤦🏼‍♀️seriously amazing taste just take more people or find solution((cos impossible to pay good price for having this surprise…..
