The interiors have been updated but the structure is obsolete (one elevator for over 100 rooms on three floors, and that elevator at one extreme end of the hallway). Good hotel if you’re travelling south . Close to the highway. Only 5 minutes so perfect. Secure parking space, check in was friendly. Rooms were good for the price ( just a little to small you cannot open you’re luggage only on the bed) but it’s clean and quit to sleep so very good when you’re on the road to somewhere.

It’s okay, small room, large lobby, you can’t set up air condition and it’s warm air is blowing instead nice cool breeze. Good parking, shops and restaurant near hotel

Enjoy your stay: the swimming pool, restaurant and outdoor terrace are very well equipped. Restaurant and breakfast with good local products. The decoration is well done and very tasteful. A small drawback: why do you need a robe and a pair of slippers in a double room?

A very beautiful hotel with excellent renovation of the premises, the "chatter" catering was a great surprise for me and my wife due to the quality of the food and service. The welcome and reception staff were very pleasant and were able to meet my expectations. I highly recommend

I was looking for somewhere to stay on my drive south. Excellent hotel located just off the autoroute in a lovely town with restaurants near by. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Hotel provides secure parking. Book your reservation on their website.

I am very grateful to the housekeeping staff who serviced my room after my departure, and noted the Front Desk staff that I had left my jacket. The Front Office staff notified me, MailBoxes arranged for its delivery to my home, and I thank everyone for the excellent service. Very happy to have my jacket back. Everything about our stay was excellent.

Perfect rooms, great service by multi-language staff and secure parking lot. We always use Hotel de France Valence on our travel to Spain and we are never disappointed.

Staff accueillant. Perfect location. Clean, elegant, comfortable room. Nothing to complain about just that it could be even better if indoor slippers were provided :) Tried to get ones at reception but sadly they seemed to have run out of the supply.

Difficult to find the proper elevator at night in the parking lot. That is literally my only complaint.

Excellent location and restaurant very comfortable stay. For not being able to speak French very well the staff was understanding and accommodating. Highly recommend! I did not rate the parking - I traveled by train and taxi so I did not utilize parking but I’m sure it is well.

We unexpectedly stayed here last year in summer, while going on a trip to Spain. We had a very pleasant stay. The privilege rooms next to the swimming pool are amazing! The swimming pool is amazing, the atmosphere was very good and the staff is nice and helpful. The next morning we had breakfast which was very extensive and neat. We will definitely come again some day.

We use this hotel often as a resting point when traveling onwards to the south and although our stays are usually short, they are always pleasant and making me want to come back for a longer stay! I am quite often in Valence and Clos Syrah is always my first choice: comfortable rooms, great food and breakfast for the value, superb wines from the Cotes-du-Rhone, nice pool, friendly and helpful staff 👍

The hotel is slightly away from the town centre. Whilst officially rated as 4*, I would more accurately class it as an up market motel. Having said that the gardens and pool are very pleasant and our evening meal was very good. Would not like to stay here for more than a couple of nights, but for an overnight stay or two, would recommend.

Room was nearly overall clean, except black stuff fills the grout line in the shower, where I would expect it to be white and clean. Breakfast was good and filling and appox. worth the extra charge. The location is near several places to eat which is nice. The reception clerk was friendly.

Room is perfectly fine for my needs. I was just looking for a room not so far from highway just for one night and take the road the next morning. Room was sufficiently big for 2 adults and 2 children.

Hotel was good, secure parking, clean rooms, wifi was working well. TV was not used, as their are no English language channels. Price was high, perhaps due to it being peak season. We arrived here out of the blue after my husband was hospitalised on our coach journey from Spain. The hotel may only be 2 star but the staff and service are 5 star.+. We were welcomed with much kindness and care. The food was good and very fairly priced, English is spoken . Nice atmosphere, it's not wonder they are so busy. Very convenient for train and bus station.

Nice, clean hotel, friendly staff, good restaurant. Dog-friendly. The larger rooms (two rooms opened up into one) have only one toilet. There is no pathway from the hotel to anywhere, so one must walk next to the main road. The back garden could be connected to a park, but it is not.

We are really happy with our stay. We had to pivot on our travel plans and we grateful we found the Novotel Valence Sud when we did. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Aboyu on the front desk and the waiting staff. The pool was great for a warm day. The food was excellent, I love French food. However, there was a good modern twist added to the menu.

There is no reception. We were looking for reception and asked the restaurant people and they were keep on pointing at the table. And we dint expect this from novotel. Whoever has given a thought to remove the reception desk must be crazy or mad. But then we met the person who did our check inn. Served us very well. Thank you. And he was prompt. Chef Anne-Sophie Pic's story is well known and admirable. The food is beautifully presented, flavours have lots of finesse and the service is superb. Definitely a Michelin-starred experience.

You might not understand but for me it was a little like heaven everything was awesome I had no reason to leave and it was the best night of my entire life thanks to one beautiful stranger I'd recommend this place a million times

Stayed here a while ago, not exactly in the city center so it’s quieter. Short walk though. Parking in the back is very convenient but don’t bring a large vehicle. People were great & rooms were clean. Would definitely stay here again when I’m lucky enough to return to Valence.

Clean, modern, private. Check in was easy. There is a private parking at the hotel. Breakfast was optional (16€ per person). Everything in the room works perfectly. There were two complimentary water bottle in the fridge, one sparkling and one still. Induction kitchen was also included in the room along with plate and cutleries. Nicely decorated and clean hotel. We booked a family room which has a second (open) level. Parking is very narrow and there are only 15 spaces: first come, first serve. We arrived around 18.00 h and luckily had the last available spot. Short walk to the centre, but through a few tatty streets.

Its a hotel for those staying a short night on a long trip. Room is big enough and bed confortable. Everything clean. Free parking and good wifi. So for the price is good. Biggest reason I give four star and not five is because the wall is not thick enough, I can distinctly hear what the neighbors rooms are saying.

Ok for 1 night. Nice staff. But there was no soap (beside shower one) and the breakfast was very very basic (no cheese or ham) just sweet pastries. Close to several restaurants.

What a great place to stay for 1 night ! Extremely clean and comfortable for an amazingly attractive price ! We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The hotel has a good placement easy to access from the freeway and a Short waæk from the town centrum. The host is very helpful and kind. The coffee is GREAT. There is safe parking for an small extra fee. We enjoyed our stay.
