Between Vercors and Ardeche, the Mercure Valence hotel, completely renovated in January 2021, enjoys an ideal location at the junction of the A7 from Lyon and the A49 from Grenoble. Located on the holiday route and south of Valence, between the business district and the marina of L Eperviere, this hotel offers comfortable rooms inviting you to relax.
Hotel opened in 1987, renovated in 2016.

Extremely disappointing and unfriendly experience
We were charging our car at the nearby Tesla Supercharger when our 3-year-old daughter urgently needed to use the restroom. The hotel was the closest facility, so we naturally walked into the lobby to find a toilet. However, we were immediately stopped by a staff member who asked what we were doing there.
When I explained that our little girl really needed to go to the bathroom, we were turned away and told to go to a bakery down the road. I asked again if she could just quickly use the toilet due to the urgency, but the woman insisted there was no restroom available. She even claimed that she herself had to use the bakery’s toilet.
Frankly, I don’t believe that. It felt like a blatant lie just to avoid helping us. Completely unhelpful, unkind, and certainly not what you’d expect from a place in the hospitality industry. Very disappointing.

Great service and friendly atmosphere.
The staff were kind, welcoming throughout my stay. While the rooms are a bit small, they were clean and comfortable. The hotel is located about 10 minutes by car from the center of.
I would recommend it for a business trip.

Good hotel if you’re travelling south . Close to the highway. Only 5 minutes so perfect. Secure parking space, check in was friendly. Rooms were good for the price ( just a little to small you cannot open you’re luggage only on the bed) but it’s clean and quit to sleep so very good when you’re on the road to somewhere.

This hotel is a weird combination of updated grace and neglected obsolescence. The interiors have been updated but the structure is obsolete (one elevator for over 100 rooms on three floors, and that elevator at one extreme end of the hallway). "Scent" pumped into the air of the hallways (NO public accommodation should have ANY scent added; even ignoring that some people have allergies, no scent is to everyone's liking). The shower stall leaks water into the bathroom floor (and against the hotel room carpet at the threshold). There is no covered loading/unloading zone at the entrance. etc.

REALLY LOVELY HOTEL
The hotel is an easy 10 minute drive to the centre of Valence - there is free car parking at the hotel - the staff are lovely - there are 2 dining options - both very good - a really comfortable place to stay.

Hello,
I do not recommend this hotel in good conscience. We had 1 night paid in it in August 2024 and after checking in, I went back to the car to get some things and a thief looked in our trunk. We decided to check out and find a better hotel with underground parking. Unfortunately, the parking lot is not well secured and you can easily jump over the net. The quality of the room also gives much to be desired, attached photos. Very poor quality, plus bugs.
The funniest thing is that the hotel does not want to reimburse us for the night we missed.

It’s okay, small room, large lobby, you can’t set up air condition and it’s warm air is blowing instead nice cool breeze. Good parking, shops and restaurant near hotel
