Evanik Chic Hotel in Kalymnos

The hotel has many plus points and a few minus points in my opinion. The plus - very clean, both in the rooms and breakfast area. Our bed was sooo comfortable and large ensuring a good nights sleep, the shower had plenty of hot water practically instantly. The room came with a small patio with a table and two chairs, but no view. Breakfast choices were excellent, varied and tasty, making sure you had a good start to the day. Staff, everyone we met were very friendly and helpful, with particular mention to the manager Anastasia, always asking how you were with a smile. If you hire a car, the hotel has a few spaces available in a secure parking lot just 2 minutes away. The minus points - location is excellent just a 5 minute walk from the harbour and all the cafes/taverns, however, if you have mobility issues the lack of good pavements on a very busy road I suspect would make it difficult for some. The rooms are pleasant but small(I had a look at two other rooms same sized) The room we had was lacking in storage space, if you had a couple of suitcases full of clothes you would struggle to find room for them, it had one drawer, two small shelves and a hanging rail. If we return to Pothia, even with its few minus points we would be still happy to return to this hotel.

Super friendly staff. We were very happy to be upgraded to a jacuzzi suite. Bed was super comfy. Breakfast had lots of choices and was delicious. Wish we had stayed longer.

This is a very comfortable hotel, spotlessly clean, only a couple of hundred metres from the harbour front, where the cafes, bars and restaurants are. What really makes your stay is Hotel Manager Anastasia and her wonderful staff, for whom nothing seems to be too much trouble. The breakfast bar is well stocked with a selection of traditional "English" dishes, Continental items, fruit and cereals, along with fresh orange juice and / or prosecco. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Everything about this hotel is spot on the breakfasts where so nice,our room had everything including a jacuzzi.irene on reception was so helpful but all the staff were so helpful as well.Hotel is very central to everything in portia.Excellent base to explore from

Whatever I write, it will not be enough to express my gratitude to the entire hotel team. These are the kindest, most caring and best hosts that I have met on the island of Kalymnos. The hotel is the best in Kalymnos. The entire team takes care of every guest at any time and this hospitality left a nice memories in me. The location of the hotel is impeccable. Every comfort in the room is thought of - a jacuzzi with a beach corner on the terrace, a coffee and tea amenities , water, towels, etc. The breakfast team is also amazing. It was a pleasure to take my breakfast with such a nice people around. I want to send to all of them my best wishes and my friendly hugs. I recommend the hotel and definitely it will be my choice on the island of Kalymnos! Euxaristw para poly, paedia! Filakia!

Great place. Feels like a part of New York is located in the middle of beautiful Kalymnos. Great style, amazing staff and comfortable room. You can find everything for every one. From the welcome to the day to day interaction with the staff you feel real hospitality

I would like to express my gratitude to Mr. Lisgaris and the entire staff team at the recently refurbished Evanik Chic Hotel, in Pothia the capital of Kalymnos Island. I feel that great care and attention was taken when considering the fixtures, fittings to enhance the overall luxurious feel and aesthetic appeal of this modern boutique hotel. The rooms are well set out, comfortable and always kept spotlessly clean thanks to the hard work of the housekeeping team. I found all the staff to be exceptionally helpful and always happy to share their local knowledge of restaurants and other dining options. Anastasia and Irene in particular suggested other interesting local places to visit on a daily basis (Vathis valley, Kantouni, Masouri and Emporios to name a few). This courtesy was appreciated because it made the whole holiday a more pleasurable experience. George (the chef) provided a delightful breakfast menu with so many mouth watering choices. The incredible edibles were all delicious and very well presented. The tireless hard work of Kalotina was a delight to behold. Her cheerful yet understated dedication to provide the highest standard of customer care for the hotel certainly deserves recognition. She always made the extra effort to make each guests stay more memorable. Theo her colleague also made the guests feel welcomed and I would like to thank him for our conversation's and introducing me to the delights of Iced Coffee. I thoroughly recommend this hotel, its pleasant staff plus its location just 5 minutes from the highlife of the main port. Go visit, and enjoy a fabulous laid back Mediterranean experience.

Modern newly renovated hotel offering excellent accommodation and very friendly staff going out of their way to make your stay memorable! Very clean rooms with bath robes, slippers and thongs! Excellent location to port! Highly recommend!
