Where to stay in Kalymnos

Older hotel but well maintained. Excellent location with harbour/ sea views. Charming staff. Rooms are comfortable and en suite. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The downside of this location is thatvot can sometimes be a little noisy- traffic during the day and bar noise at night.

We stayed one night and found the Olympic to be excellent on all levels.....the view of the harbour front from our room was breathtaking. We would highly recommend this hotel as a great base for a stay in Kalymnos.

Το δωμάτιό μου είχε υπέροχη θέα σε όλο το λιμάνι.Επίσης το λιμάνι βρίσκεται κοντά και δεν χρειάζεται μεταφορικό μέσο για να γυρίσεις την πόλη. Ο σταθμός των λεωφορείων που πηγαίνουν σε διάφορα μέρη του νησιού είναι κοντά. Ακόμα υπάρχει και μια παραλία, με κρυστάλλινα νερά και βοτσαλ...

Wonderful people, fantastic views. The best of the island

It feels like a hidden gem. The staff were very friendly. It was located in a quiet part of the town and only a 5/10 minute stroll from the harbour front. The pool was brilliant, there were times where it was only the 2 of us using it. The breakfast was very good especially the apple cake. I wished I'd asked for the recipe. Villa Melina has many rooms of all kinds spread over the entire area of the building and around the pool. The villa itself is very beautiful. And the price is reasonable for what you get. But it is far from the center and you have to walk a little on the slope to the center and back uphill. We liked the old building and we also liked the outdated room, although it has apparently undergone renovation...

Very atmospheric, family run hotel. The owner Adonis and son Giorgios make you feel very welcome. Great pool area, breakfast was great. We enjoyed our stay very much and will come again. It is busy so book well in advance.

One of the best stays we have ever had. A lovely family business, Villa Melina is a cozy hotel and offers you a home like experience. Our host was lovely, kind, helpful and friendly. It is not only having a great hotel experience but also making new friends. Rooms are great, comfortable, clean. There is a great swimming pool on the courtyard. Very large villa certainly beautiful 50 years ago... in the center of the town... 100 meters inside but you can see the sea... So as to stay away from the chaos of the port and traffic.... Unfortunately the age the rooms as well as the entire structure feel it and you can see it.... But the owners are accommodating and kind... It also has a swimming pool!!

Beautiful, historic villa with nice flowers and trees, but unfortunately it is old and not very well maintained.

Lovely small hotel with big pool and spacious area behind the hotel. Huge old tree at the pool which is beautiful! Very helpful and friendly staff. Simple rooms with balcony, could use some updating but everything is there including little fridge and airconditioning. We rented scooters to see the island and the location was good.

Simple island style living, with beautiful pool area with lots of green surroundings and a friendly staff that are always willing to help. Also, the rooms are cleaned daily, which is in my opinion the most important thing one can ask for when living someplace that isn't home. Breakfast is local flavors (thyme honey, local vegetables, pastries, etc.) so it's recommended if you are a breakfast person...

This hotel is quite descent, even for 3 stars hotel(rust bathroom equipment must be replaced in room 106 and there’re some problem with toilet flushing). Samely breakfast,instant coffee…But all staff is amazing-attentive and welcoming,ready to solve any issue. The rooms and tourist compound are cleaned up daily.I recommend this hotel for a budget trip.

A good hotel with Breakfast, Pool and nice Personal. The hotel room is spacious. The beds weren't so good. They are old spring beds and not comfortable (for me and a friend). Furthermore the fridge was off. On the location you need about 7 min to a small beach and across from the hotel there is a little supermarket.

One of the best hotels of the islands; quiet, comfy. Nice big pool and organic fruits for breakfast. Fully recommended

Had an amazing stay at the climbing house! And definitely will be back. Stefanos and his wife are very warm and kind hosts. Wonderful studios and probably the best accommodation on the island. Highly recommend to rent out scooters or a car from Stefanos, contact him ahead of time for a possible transfer from the Port to the studio when you arrive and depart.

Gave us a great price for the bikes and the room, picked us up from the port, was si helpful. Also you are close to the main supermarket so you can stock up every morning. Definitely will come back

Kantouni beach hotel was the nicest place I’ve ever stayed. Everything from checkin to checkout was perfect. The facility was kept immaculately clean, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the views are incredible, the pool and beach are beautiful and the food is delicious. The buffet breakfast is included and has everything you could ever want from Greek specialties to American/European classics...

Very nice hotel and staff! Solid internet for working remotely. The pool with views of the beach and rooms are gorgeous. Spotlessly cleaned everyday (felt bad for tracking a significant amount of sand in). Receptionist was helpful for calling taxis. The breakfast was delicious. The staff are absolutely amazing, attentive, polite and professional. Bottled water with ice is constantly flowing at the pool area as soon as you sit down. The entire part of your stay you really feel looked after. The hotel pool has plenty of sun beds for all guests and gets full sun all day. The hotel is perfectly positioned for the best view of the sunset. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern...

While the rooms are somewhat sparse and the beds not among the softest we have tried, the owners and staff are the sweetest and kindest. Breakfast is simple but very nice and rooms, pool area and restaurant are neat and clean. We went for a Discover Scuba Diving offer and had a fantastic time thanks to the competent and patient instructors and the hotel staff. Highly recommend.

Have booked dives with Kalymnos Diving Centre at the hotel. Really friendly and helpful people. The dives, amazing!!

I've just had a lovely stay there. The location is peaceful with nice views. Handy for tavernas/bars in Elies. A bus stop nearby. A short walk will take you to Linaria beach (more nice tavernas and a fab view). Nikos, the host cannot do enough for you. Great value for money!!!

The owners of Mary Popi made my stay absolutely amazing. I injured my foot towards the end of my stay and Giorgios helped me get to the hospital, brought me food and was so very caring. They are there for whatever you need and are so welcoming. Thank you so much Giorgos and Mary Popi!!!!

Very nice hotel. Can’t recommend this high enough, people are friendly, good facilities. The beach is near and the view is nice. The pool is kept very clean. Overall very very good and you should definitely stay here!

I stayed there for two weeks with my husband and two sons. Good value for money, very friendly hosts, beautiful views and the swimming pool make it a place worth visiting. Platis gialos beach is 5 mins walk, a big shop 15 mins, but a car is definitely a necessity.

Very beautiful and cozy place with the view of the sea, 5 minutes walk to the beach, 2 minute drive to the center of the village with restaurants and a supermarket. Most important - a true welcoming atmosphere with traditional Greek generosity, kindness and charm! We will recommend it to all our friends and definitely come back ourselves. Small 3 star hotel, clean, very sincere hotel owner

The hosts are absolutely adorable and want to help you with everything they can, giving advice on your stay. They are very considerate and presented us food and local herbs to take home which was really nice! The view from the balcony was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay!

You get what you paid.. Its a cheap hotel so don't expect too much.. But for a climbing trip its perfect.. Good beds, nice balcony, quite area, stunning view, and the most important very helpful and supper nice hosts. You need for sure a scooter, if you have one you will love the place.

Own parking, very good internet signal (in most hotels you cannot even see a video without waiting it to load), kind owners and a great view to telendos. I forgot to tell you that the room was big for its price

The hotel is high up a hill with amazing views across the sea to Telendos .. it has lovely sunsets .. the rooms are basic but clean and comfortable with a balcony facing the sea . You need a car to look around as its abit far to the shops & resturantes ..The owners are very welcoming & friendly .. and offer you free breakfast .. we have been happy here...

What a fantastic hotel . Family run and very very helpful and friendly. Keen to make sure everyone and everything is good . Apartment very clean and very Covid compliant. Made sure room had a bottle of water in it for us and made sure we were fed at silly o'clock when we arrived. Very good with allergin awareness . We will definitely be back.

This is a lovely hotel. It is scrupulously clean. Our room was spacious, well-designed and well-equipped. Breakfast was ample and tasty. We could easily use the pool next door. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our visit coincided with a period of extreme heat, and staff went out of their way to ensure we knew of heat warnings and heeded them.

Lovely boutique hotel , newly refurbished rooms looks really modern and the staff are fantastic, great service. It’s well situated in Myrties for the one way system they operate in summertime, staying for one week at the moment, we havnt eaten here so cannot comment on the food , everything else has been great.

Hotel was full and I only got a room at the back looking over another hotel's balcony. Such a shame. Room is spacious and clean. You have to draw the curtains when you change, as everyone next door can see into the room.

A hotel that is on the sea. If you have booked one of the front rooms you really feel like you are inside it. It has very good prices but the rooms are a bit old and without TV. If you have a car you cannot park it near the rooms. The staff is very helpful and kind!
