It was a brilliant stay, the owner John was such a lovely person. He recommended a really good selection of restaurants and made us feel right at home. The breakfast was amazing and the rooms were absolutely fantastic. We had a view of the Mystras city from the really large balcony.

Everything about this place is great! The views, service, the rooms. If you plan on staying in the Sparta area, this is the place!

We enjoyed our stay overall, and the price was reasonable. The guesthouse is located up a windy road a short drive from the town of Mystras. The view from our balcony was incredible! Our room was basic, but clean and comfortable. A nice breakfast was brought to our room in a basket. The guesthouse is a charming stone structure. The pool looked like it needed cleaning however.

A wonderful guesthouse in a fantastic location. The views over the Sparti plain are amazing for an early evening drink and the staff are very welcoming. Dmitra went the extra mile working out our travel options and we appreciated her advice. A great and generous breakfast

The Mazaraki Guesthouse was our first stop of our summer holiday trip through Peloponnese and we are really glad we started off with such a great stay! Breakfast was good. Iwas the only guest, so I could order what I wanted (bacon n eggs, toast, coffee). Host was very friendly. Spoke good English. Place is on Eastern edge of Mystras. Walking distance to town centre. I had a car, so I don't know about buses. Incredible vista of ancient Mystras. Good heated pool.

A return after more than ten years on this camping. Our favourite spot was still available. Nicely situated between some olive trees to provide shadow and to host our hammock. The most expensive for the moment in greece and far to be the best one. Old sanitary. But the swimming pool is large

4th July and we were the only ones here. Handy for visiting Mystras. Nice enough site and friendly, helpful staff.

Beautiful place with a view of the olive groves of Laconia and Sparta, clean guesthouses and kind hosts with unique disadvantages the lack of breakfast and a cot for a baby. Nearby there are very good taverns and opposite a bistro cafe with an incredible view

Very good price/level of accommodation. The balcony with an unobstructed view of Sparta and Mount Parnon, simply unique!

Pleasant Almost city center Hotel, Unfortunately the room we were given needs immediate up date air-conditioning not working we froze it was full so they could not move us... Pleasant staff and management apologetic...

Stayed 1 night. Room was a bit dingy and smelled musty. There was a fridge in the room, but it was not working and smelled terrible. Bed was clean and comfy enough. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great hotel with limited parking. I put my motorbike by the front door which they seemed to be ok with, room is a bit small but it was perfect & the local area had clothes shops and great food so I walked around there for the evening and felt very safe. Bikers just be careful the roads are so smooth it’s like ice on the corners, I had my back wheel slide out twice at about 5mph 😬

Comfortable hotel. Small rooms but comfortable beds and a good night's sleep. The real highlight is the balconies, particularly if you can get one facing the mountains. A memorable way to watch a sunset with a glass of local wine in your hand.

It was clean, and well kept. The linens were soft and of good quality. The bathroom was large, updated and had good water pressure. The A/C was strong and so was the internet signal. It was VERY reasonably priced including a good breakfast. There was fresh squeezed orange juice. I loved it!

This hotel is more two star than three star in my opinion. Whereas everything was clean, the walls were stained, there were gaps in the bathroom door along the lock, and the hotel had a faint cigarette smoke smell. However, the host was very nice and made us feel welcome. Not a bad stay, just not a 3 star ranked hotel.

I was kind of worried as the price is kind of low but what a pleasant surprise to find a nice and large open space. Clean kitchen. clean sheets, clean floor and clean bathroom with running hot water (I mention it because some reviews mention the lack of hot water but I guess they did not know how to switch it on: the kind of heating system is common in Greece ) It is located in a calm and big garden...

Magical place, great atmosphere, nice room. Good communication with the owner. Couldn't get the hot water to work (despite the instructions), but that's probably my fault. :D I enjoyed my stay very much and can recommend it.

Good for the price. The hot water situation was pretty lacking. The bathroom was a pretty standard Greek bathroom. And by that I mean it sprayed water all over the floor and had no fan or ventilation to dry the mess.

Great room for 2 nights in Sparta visiting family. Close to restaurants. Room was perfect with no issues at all.

Great location, lots to see right around, 11 minute walk to the museums and acropolis. Friendly receptionists (who spoke great English), good wifi, ac worked great. They even complementary upgraded us to a better room. Only downside I can think of is the TV only had local channels, but wasn't necessary.

Small tired room with some fixtures not working and a leaking toilet. Was clean and comfortable bed if you like them hard. Breakfast is standard fare.

Would we stay here again? Yes, at the right price. Rooms rates can fluctuate but good rates can be found. There was a safe place inside to store our bicycles which is always very much appreciated. Rooms are spotlessly clean. A little on the compact side but we didn't find that a problem Well located for the restaurants and shops.

Good value for the money. Very clean room, but without a view, in central downtown Sparta. Helpful front desk staff and good breakfast. Parking is an issue in the area, but the hotel protects some spaces in front of the hotel, call ahead just before you arrive to ask to use one of them. We would stay here again.

A house with personality !!! Hospitable owners, dream setting, and a fully functional accommodation! 2 times already there, and it is not hot !!!!

Absolutely worth seeing accommodation! Very friendly family with advice and support. Very well equipped and especially the view from the balcony to the city! 5 stars and very recommendable! Is a bit out of town but within 15 minutes you are in the city center!

Good value if under $120. Great views and breakfast buffet! On the negative side, it’s way up on a hill, roads not easily walkable and the road surface very rough for most small cars. The walk to the lobby from parking lot is way too steep for older people or people with a disability. It needs a remodel imo. Large rooms, tiny tv, quiet surroundings. Free parking.

Amazing staff go a long way and without them this hotel would get a worse review. The hotel needs some love and maintenance to brighten it up. We had dinner in an empty restaurant (very average) and it just felt...odd! The view from anywhere is simply beautiful, postcard pretty. Sadly the rooms are dark with no coffee/tea facilities or any extras, small outdated TV's with no international/sky available...

Cannot describe how mush i felt like this was too much for me. I felt real luxury every time i set foot here, rooms were amazing and were really comfortable. If i ever come back to kalamata i will definitely consider this place again.

Hotel with an amazing view and great potential. The rooms were well lit with big balconies to enjoy your coffee. The table in our room looked cheap though and one of the legs was broken. Our toilet flush was also broken. When asked for an iron we were given one which was full of scale and didn’t look great. With regards to its breakfast it had an adequate variety but I found that it was not refilled...

Five star accommodation with excellent services and gorgeous views !!! Facilities in the apartments are on the highest level. Many thanks to the host who did everything for our staying. Decent service, good wifi, this hotel has a great view of Kalamata air conditioning and a fan are available too. The problem is the rooms weren't that good themselves; nothing fascinating to be honest. Some outdoor chairs were unstable and the bathroom was horrible. It is ok to stay there for a few days but not any longer.

Our home in Kalamata for past over 30 years were we go annually at least once a year. Excellent location, spacious rooms with all facilities because it acts as apartment hotel. Owners and staff are always friendly and helpful in all matters. One of the few hotels in Kalamata with a nice pool.

The exterior, the food and the service was great. I would wish for a proper espresso machine instead of the nespresso. The room was a bit old. Ventilation on the bathroom did not work. The worst part was the bed. It was extremely soft, and was creaking so much, we woke up when turning in the sleep. What was not acceptable: The pool gutter is made of worn out plastic. I stepped on it, and it broke...

Excellent location. All that you want in a hotel .. and more. Access to private beach. Don't care for salty (or rough) water? Awesome, plus-size pool with full pool-side service. Enjoy a Mai Tai or a glass of wine with fruit. More amenities (spa, gym, etc. that we didn't get the chance to enjoy).

Very dated and tired hotel with lots of things broken or looking past their best. There is no shower curtain or screen so the bathroom floods. Breakfast is chaotic with fake orange juice and weak coffee. The beach is lovely and the fact it's right by the hotel is a good selling point. This hotel has huge potential if they renovate and improve their F&B act. The location is outstanding - right next to Kalamata and in a private beach where the waters are crystal clear. They need to invest to upgrade their rooms and it can become a wonderful resort.

The overall resort was nice, breakfast was tasty, so was the dinner, the rooms are spacious and it didn't feel cramped with 4 people. The hotel is nice but needs some reno. The carpets in the main areas are pulling up. The room was large and bathroom was decently sized. Customer service was top notch! Our group lost our luggage thanks to Sky Express and Paris at the front desk went above and beyond to locate and have it delivered. The pool is large, the rooms are clean and the breakfast has a lot of options. It helps that the beach is literally across the street.

Stunning view, amazing staff, excellent breakfast. One note: the vegan savoury options were rather limited and most of the bread selection had milk in it, but there were still plenty of vegan options. Similarly, the vegan options were not clearly marked and had to ask or simply rely on my knowledge on the local food. But everything was great :)

I don't know about the rooms as I haven't rented here. Hiwever, I was told it's a very luxurious hotel, but even tho it was really nice, I've been in hotels that felt way more luxury than this one. The service was what I'd rate perfect.
