Garden City Resort

Good hotel with dedicated parking space close to city centre. We received free upgrade to junior suite (in January). Decent breakfast, very professional and welcoming staff helping you with everything. Rooms are in good condition, bathrobes, slippers etc are provided. Comfortable bed and pillows. The only downside was traffic noise from the busy street, but so far every hotel in Greece had bad soundproofing

Our friends introduced us to this beautiful little hotel, and we are delighted they did. Such an amazing find. From check in to departure the level Of service is first class. Everyone we encountered, from the delightful housekeeper who prepared our room so beautifully, to the reception staff, waiting staff and Zoe (manager), went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. We have travelled extensively and can say truthfully that the service at The Garden City Resort exceeds any we have experienced else where. Professional, but with genuine warmth and a smile. The hotel is small, 28 beds, located 5 minutes from the sea front and 15 minutes from the city centre, in a peaceful, residential area. It is immaculate, and everything has being thoughtfully provided. Breakfast is truly delicious. Hot and cold buffet, with pastries and local Specialities. Twinings tea! The selection is vast. A huge added bonus is the car park. If you are planning a stop over in Kalamata, or a holiday. I would recommend The Garden City Resort without hesitation. Biggest tip: book direct, it is considerably cheaper.

We have just spent a weekend in this perfect boutique, 28 bedded hotel. Having stayed there two years ago, when it first opened.

It’s a small hotel that punches way above its weight.

The Garden City is located 5 minutes from the sea front and an easy stroll into the pretty old town. There is a plethora of coffee shops and taverns close by.

The hotel is pristinely clean, light and airy. Off street parking is a bonus. There is a small pool and gym.

Breakfast is buffet style, with a huge selection. From Greek yoghurt to eggs and bacon. The barrista coffee is excellent.

We had a junior suite, super king bed, mini bar etc. The bed was incredible comfortable and the shower very powerful. There are black out curtains so you sleep iundisturbed. Bottles of water are replenished every day.

But what makes this perfect little hotel really stand out, is the incredibly friendly staff. Everyone treats with you with warmth and kindness. Nothing is too much trouble.

We really cannot recommend The Garden City hotel highly enough.

Such a nice little stay in Kalamata! The staff was the highlight, absolutely above and beyond, we were greeted at every entrance and they were very attentive and helpful with anything we needed, they even gifted us some cookies and olive oil for Christmas! It’s centrally located, less than a 10 min walk to the port and beach, and about 15 min to the city center. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfy, they have a breakfast in the morning that is amazing! I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Kalamata!

What an INCREDIBLE hotel! The hospitality is unmatched and the food is delectable! Everything they serve for breakfast is from local vendors, and it tastes incredible. The rooms are clean and well supplied with essentials. The location is about a 25 min walk to city center and right on the beach. Most importantly, the hotel staff is warm snd welcoming. They were so kind during our stay and attended to our every need.

5 star hotel 10 minutes walk from the harbor. Quiet modern rooms facing the back. Off street parking a plus. Breakfast was outstanding. Service was very good. Maria at breakfast was terrific.

A small hotel with excellent staff. The rooms are very spacious, with the top floor suite with a balcony. There is a small pool and sun-loungers. The breakfast offers a wide choice and they are generous in their quantities. The reception staff were very helpful.
