A gem in the mountain. You feel peaceful as soon as you arrive, although it is 15 min drive from the coast. Very nicely renovated, with plenty of places to sit and relax. Myself and my partner had a terrific experience at this hidden gem of a hotel in Crete. We were upgraded to a beautiful, spacious room with all the character of the old monastery and our own private pool. Tucked away on a quiet road a couple of kilometres from a delightful beach, should you need it, I doubt you will, but it's nice to know its there. The house is ready to holiday in as if you had moved into a new home; everything is provided from a spoon, to a washing line. You won't need a thing except your luggage and food; supermarket close by.

We spend one week in the Villa and never had the feeling that something is lacking or needs to be topped up. The interiors and equipment are in great shape and the Villa is very comfortable for 6 adults. The owner is very kind and helpful.

Eva, Dimitri and the extended family made me very welcome from Day 1. Returning after a year’s break it felt like visiting family again. The hotel is always clean and tidy and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The Thalassi Taverna is always a great venue in the evening even when there is no entertainment. Just back from a wonderful week at Thalassi Hotel. It's not posh or fancy and the sunbeds could do with an upgrade but that's more than made up by the friendliness of the owners, Dmitri and Eva and the staff. The hospitality is first class. The pool area and facilities are spotless, we felt very welcome and at home. Food is outstanding. I first came here 20 years ago and will definately be back

We stayed there for 12 days in July, the place is absolutely perfect for families. It is located in a very quiet are with some cafes and a grocery store nearby. The flats are very comfortable, clean and literally a few steps from the pool and the sandy beach. Here I spent a wonderful time. We will surely come back.

Not a 5 star! The hot Food was Cold, And not much selection. Staff seemed grumpy except a few waiting staff. Lacked communication. Tatty sunbeds. The only thing good about this hotel was the beach and clean rooms.

I truly recomand this hotel! The food is really tasty, especially the sweets. The rooms have AC and the towels are changed daily. The pool is near to the beach, also it includes a bar. You can swim in the sea and in the pool whenever you want, you don’t have to choose one of them. Also, we really enjoyed playing table tennis (to balance the new kilos due to the buffet).

This place looks the part and the rooms are nice. However, the food whilst it looks good is just kind of bland and the service in the bar very poor with waiters who clearly would rather be somewhere else. Incredibly loud entertainment and fitness events in the main pool were just awful if you want to relax.

Starting from food to entertainment and staff all and all were amazing during our stay. There are different pools which one can use base on his preference and the beaches are all tidy and well equipped. The room was also super clean and equipped with fridge and air conditioner.

This place was awesome. What they don’t tell you or show good photos of us the amazing water slides! We all had great fun for hours on the slides. Great hospitality and although some people commented on sewage smells - we didn’t notice that problem.

Mine and my partner’s stay at the Luxme white was absolutely fantastic from the location to the food and facilities were amazing. Everyday there was always something to do with amazing evening activities for everyone to get involved with the rooms were superb with amazing air conditioning. Great location, great food options, although buffet food a bit tepid. Local taxis, even those booked by hotel charge €95 for airport transfers yet hotel insists price of their taxi "partners" is €130. After spending €1000s to stay here the captive audience profiteering is the reason I've only gave 4 stars.

the rooms are not nearly that size that advertiset. Standard room is max 16 squarmeters with shower room. Food is eatable but not very tasty. Beach is not as good as expected, yes above waterline sand, but in water stony, rocky and partly bedrock. Staff is nice and helpfull.

Back to the Solimar for 3 weeks, usual room and many of the "old" staff. The weather was hotter than usual for the time of year usually between 30-34c, too hot for us. This is the last year to be run by the Solimar company as a new company takes over from the end of October. To be truthful the hotel has, over the years we have been holidaying there, become very run down due to lack of investment but...

I was there on family holidays with our 3 years old son. We enjoyed nice and clean room(cleaned every day) with aircondition, clean and warm swimming pools, tasty food and friendly staff. Bad wifi connection, good location between Chania and Heraklion and all things we wanted to see. Parking space on the quiet street behind the hotel.

Good value for money. Way to the beach is through the Maravel Hotel, about 200 meters from the reception. The food was varied and tasty. But there are small little things, that can be improved relatively easily and cheaply, for me I would put another trash in the room, hang curtains around the bed lounges and repair the machines in the gym - half is out of order. And I really don't understand at all...

The hotel is nice, new renovated and lies beside the sea, where the view is amazing. You can see the sunrise and the sunset from your balcony. The breakfast is good, the bar is fairly priced. The location of the hotel is also really good, there is a bus station 30m from the main door. The hotel is newly renovated, the room is clean. Bathroom poorly designed, without storage shelves. The staff is great! Food at the hotel terrible, little choice, tasteless food. Offering fruit very poor, offering vegetables fine. Beach in front of the hotel dirty and untidy. The hotel accommodates a maximum of 3 stars.

Small family cosy hotel. Marvellous sunset. Tasty food and good options. Free wifi in the room. On the beach there is enough free space for own sun umbrella. During our stay there were pretty high waves which provided a lot of fun to me but they can be challenging for someone. Helpful staff. Very near to sea. Amazing place! Quite small compared to other places, what makes this place unique. You feel like a family member. Hotel is just about 2 years old. I wish the hotel management will take care and keep the hotel as nice as it is today. Simple design, but with some art decorations. Nice pool area and reasonable sea entrance. Close to restaurant, shops or car rentals. About 1,5hr from airport by bus.
