I recently stayed at Hotel Azur Premium on Lake Balaton and had a wonderful experience! 😊 The food was delicious, featuring a variety of local Hungarian meals that were a delight to try. Dinner was accompanied by a piano jazz singer, which made the entire atmosphere great. 🎶
My room had a nice view, though the windows were a little dirty. The staff was pleasant, but in most cases, they did not speak English, which made communication a bit challenging.
Overall, it was a memorable stay, and I would recommend this hotel for its amazing food and lovely ambiance. 🌟

I was really surprised to read all the bad reviews for this hotel. We were staying for 2 nights and had a great experience.
BF was ok, standard, but dinner was amazing. Huge buffet with a lot of choices.
The room was also clean with a lot of space, clean towels and everything we needed.
All the facilities were nice and clean. We enjoyed the pools indoor and outdoor, and also the lake. My 2yo kid was really sad when we were leaving 😂
The staff at the reception were kind and helpful. Especially the girl at check out. I wish her all the best honestly. 🤗

A beautiful hotel in the beautiful surroundings of Lake Balaton. The rooms are clean and tastefully furnished, the equipment of the rooms is at a sufficient level. The hotel itself offers a number of side activities as well as relaxation opportunities. The hotel staff is very nice, but not all of them can communicate fluently in english. But well, you can always negotiate here.

First of all. This hotel has 2 sides. One is 4* and one is 5*. To be honest, it deserves a maximum of 3 stars. There is chaos everywhere. Old things mixed with new, but the worst is the quality of cleaning service around the whole building. Dirty windows, spider webs and not just around reception but also rooms. I assume balconies didn't see cleaner at all.
ROOMS
We paid more than 1100 euros for the weekend (3 nights) but it's not worth it at all.
We stayed in a new part, family apartment w 2 rooms. Our apartment had so many spider webs everywhere and the cleaning service came just to make a bed and take rubbish.
FOOD
Dinner (first evening) was bad. The taste of the food was weird and we can't talk about freshness. And also even if you are a deluxe guest you have to pay for dinner drinks (water, coke...) wau. Bread and pastries for the morning looked like they were 3 days old. Same with fruits. Little flies around.
What saved the overall experience was that 1 dinner and 1 breakfast from 3 evenings was nice and tasty.
LOCALITY
But the locality is really good. Close to the lake and walking distance to the city. It won't be bad to clean the deckchair for lying next to the lake. It was dirty from birds.
And to have one towel for 3 days on these dirty chairs is a joke.
I visited this place with my family (2 kids). So it's good that there are options (indoor and outdoor) for kids. But food options for kids are nothing special.

Probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in situated right on the edge of lake balaton it offers a truly 5 star experience , a welcome cocktail when you arrive, amazing room with own balcony and mini bar, service was very good fill your wine as they notice it’s getting low, offered free cheese board at end of your meal, and the spa and pools were some of the best I have been in with and amazing view over the lake

Disappointing Experience
I recently stayed at Aruz hotel premium and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, we were told that our booking was only for one person, despite having clearly booked for two. When we approached Alex at the reception to resolve this issue, she was extremely rude and unhelpful, making an already stressful situation even worse.
The room itself was in poor condition. There was a noticeable stain on the bed, hair on the pillows, and to top it off, we found a dead bug in the room. We informed the staff and were assured that the room would be cleaned while we were out. However, when we returned, it was evident that the bed had merely been made up, with the stain, hair, and dead bug still present.
Once again, we had to speak with Alex, who continued to be rude and dismissive. We then had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for someone to come and properly clean the room.
Overall, the lack of professionalism and cleanliness at aruz hotel premium made for a very disappointing stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We spent here just one night… The service was way below the expectations. Far away from a service level of a 5 star hotel. They didn’t know the occupancy at the hotel. The “system” is not working well. Finally we booked an other room (which is in the other building… Not the premium annexe. By the way this was really inconvenient as well to walk back and forth between the buildings). When we arrived our room was prepared for 2 person instead of 4… They just forgot the kids. In both wellness the sauna towel just “sold out” 😀 “But you can bring your own” 😅 Despite the hotel was not full at all, there were not enough place at the wellness to drop your stuff…The breakfast lasts 30 minutes to get a pancake and they tried to charge someone else’s dinner to our receipt at check out. Any of the 4 star hotels could be a batter option. The staff tried to be very nice and helpful, but the system itself is not working at all… Disappointed 😞

This hotel is good value for money, a delicious 5 course dinner was included in half board, I loved the spa area with panoramic view of Balaton.

Only if no other option
Our mistake was to believe we booked at the.5* while we did a premium room in the 4*.
Rooms were nicely renovated and thats it.
Food and service, lower than average, lacking of basic skills, unorganized staff and nowhere a manager to check quality. Desaster. I can imagine the chaos in summer time.
Rooms arent cleaned, just beds are done.and towel replacement
Best, spa available in the premium hotel.
If you arent demanding quality or good service, this is your hotel

Hotel Azúr Premium 5* is physically connected to Hotel Azúr 4*.
Location: 5. Located some meters away from the lake Balaton, Azúr 4* is a bit away but still close.
Staff: 5. Very helpful staff.
Room: 4. First room: hmmmm 3 stars, after a room change we stayed in a junior suite with lake view, the latter balances the first, however this room would be normal for a 4 star hotel (no 5 star feeling).
Wellness: 5. You can use both the 5 star's the 4 star hotel's wellness (not shared). At the time we were there they were almost empty. Many pools, one is quite big (4 stars' area), many sauna options, kids pool, jacuzzis, etc. No specific swiming pool except for a small one in the 5 star area but you can pretend swimming in the other pools.
Food: 3. Disappointment. Buffet breakfast was OK but no 5 star feeling. Buffet dinner: hot meal choice was OK, one option for kids. Chewy beef, others were underseasoned and tasteless with some exceptions (roasted pork rib with honey and chili was yummy). Two types of soup (eatable). Salad choice was so-so. Dessert choice is simple and boring, no warm dessert (at a 5* hotel?), no ice-cream (ok it was in december). Only one type of draught beer (!?) and some others bottled (poor choice), wine selection OK. Drink is pricey (5 stars...).
Others: There's one nice bowling bar with some slot machines with good drinking and eating options. Other bars are small but OK. Parking is available, not included in room price.
Overall: 4 with a lot of good intentions. If it were a 4* hotel, score would be still 4 but no good intention needed.
