Brown Mahane Yehura was a disappointment.

The afternoon we arrived, the shower flooded the bathroom and into the bedroom because the drain was clogged. I went downstairs and asked for the front desk to 1. Fix the drain. 2. Replace all of our towels that I used to clean up the wet mess. and 3. To fix our sink and toilet flush that were also broken. None of them were done. I even called again hours later to check with the front desk to see if these actions were taken care of while we were out having dinner and not in the room. We came back to a room with soaking wet towels on the floor and not any fresh ones, and a poorly draining shower, and a broken sink and toilet.

This all was a distraction from the fact that the bathroom wasn’t very clean, the hot tub didn’t work and we paid for an upgrade for a room that was just an utter disappointment.

I do not recommend this hotel, despite its central location.

Do yourself a favour and read the reviews before book a room!
We spent our 7th wedding anniversary here. First when we arrived we had to stay at the reception for a very long time because they couldn’t see it was already paid. I booked through their own website not even through a third party. After I showed the email confirmation also bank statement weirdly they could see the last 4 digit of my card number but not the fact it was paid???? The guy said he will sort it out.
We got our card to open the room. It didn’t work. All the way back to reception. Got a new card. It didn’t work again. Third time it still didn’t work which is a joke. The fourth time it was finally good.
Bed is small. The duvet cover was inside out. Walls are dark which I would have loved but you could see how dirty it was. I don’t even want to know how those marks got to the wall.
Tiles are black too which again would be a beautiful design but around the toilet it was all white. Probably because of the cleaning products or limescale I don’t know but still… we had two toilet rolls. One of them was half gone but they put a sticker on it like it was new. Come on it is so cheap… at least do not use a sticker I am not stupid…
Hand wash didn’t work in the bathroom we had to use body wash all the time.
Shower drain was blocked after 2 use? Couldn’t even wash my hair.
Toilet seat was broken.
We knew there is construction next to the building but it says work is until around 6pm. It’s more like work until 10pm.
These are things which I wouldn’t normally complain about. I wasn’t satisfied but I would just note it to myself. But after all this they took the payment twice??? And if that’s not enough they keep ignoring my emails.
I haven’t called them so far as it will charge international which will cost me extra money so only sent emails but they keep ignoring them so I will have to call eventually. Also even though I will get back the money they charged accidentally, my bank already charged me a transaction fee converting GBP to NIS. So even if I get back my money I will end up with almost £10 extra fees and a lot of time spending with it because of their mistake.
The only good thing I can say is the location so even though we weren’t satisfied with a lot of things we were e planning to go back next year. But after I saw they charged twice and don’t even bother to get back to me there is no chance we will set foot there again.
Really hope after my review they will at least take me serious….

UPDATE: after 4 emails, 1 contact form through their website and my review here, finally they replied to my emails. They apologised for the late reply; asked proof of the double charge as in their system they could see only one transaction. After the proof they transferred back the second payment (not the extra transaction fee which their mistake had cost me though) but not once they apologised for their mistake BUT they asked me to remove or change my review about them… so here it is… I have been in a few hotels in my life but never once experienced anything like this… this is extremely poor customer service.

Best location near Mahane Yehuda Market on Jaffa Street. Walking distance to all the action. Hotel staff amazing, clean, coffee and refreshing drinks in the lobby as well as healthy snack foods.

My husband and I came to celebrate our 44th anniversary. We were not informed when making the reservation that there is loud construction next to the hotel from early morning until 5pm. The room not made up the next day, even after we requested. We were told we would receive something to the room to celebrate but didn't get anything, even after repeated requests. Bathroom has glass wall and curtain so no privacy. Room is small and painted dark. Claustrophobic. Do not recommend

If you want to leave on construction sight, this is the right place to choose. With this view in the picture and noise of construction. Obviously we wasn’t informed of that situation upfront and even were suggested to upgrade our room with balcony view few days before our arrival.

Staff was very un helpful. The room we got was right inside a construction site, and we woke up to the sound of hammers and constructions.
The staff did not let us know about the noise, and when we complained we did not receive any help.
I will never go back to this place - very disrespectful.

The hotel rooms are very nice. Even got a nice upgrade. The "Urban" rooms are very small and only for for single person comfortably. Note, there is a very loud construction site next door which can be disturbing at times.
There were a few times when the reception seemed understaffed or there was just no one there.

Paid $282 a night for a deluxe room in April 2023 for this trendy hotel with extremely tiny rooms located right next to a massive construction zone. The noise is audible from the rooms and the outside seating areas. This hotel is also plagued by little maintenance issues (toilet doesn't flush properly, some TV channels don't work, front desk printer doesn't print). There are no interesting common areas we could fine (rooftop/lounge/bar) and even though we paid extra for the "deluxe" room the only difference seemed to be the surprise jacuzzi on the balcony (which we had no use for). The balcony doesn't have an interesting view and if you stay in this hotel for longer than a night you're going to be much more familiar with your significant other's bathroom habits because the bathroom walls are made of glass (no privacy).

In conclusion this hotel was much too expensive for how small it is.

Stayed one night while visiting Jerusalem in Jan 2023. Very nice and modern design and super stylish rooms. Accessible rooms are suitable fir guests in wheelchairs but are very very small so it really depends on how big the wheelchair is. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location next to city center and main train station. Very comfortable beds and high quality bath products. Breakfast is super delicious, very healthy and offers many choices but it’s not included and it is very expensive.

Kind of an urban hotel, without the usual reception setup. But easy access to rooms via elevator, nice enough staff, decent breakfast, easy (but expensive!) underground parking. Room 221 is a tiny awkward room but they were helpful in getting it changed to a room with a much better layout, though that room was then facing very loud construction work. All in all it’s an ok hotel.
