Hotel Ariston Molino Buja

I don’t suggest this hotel , very bad quality of spa service, and unprofessional staff !!! I am very disappointed!!! I got disrespectful attitude!!!
I made an appointment for massage at 17:00, unfortunately I extremely dissatisfied with the massage, firstly he started the massage at 17:10, he said that he would change the sheets from the previous client, with which I agreed, but this does not mean that the massage should be only 20 minutes and he finished this massage at 17:30 instead of 17:40, the massage costs by the way 35 euros( not cheap ) , secondly , the man does not know how to do massage at all, he just was stroking my back, although I asked to do it stronger , and thirdly , when I complained about massage to lady , she is a manager of Spa ( sitting on the ground floor ) , she replied to me that this could not be happened and looked at me with such arrogance, and with disdain, she didn’t even ask for an apology .

Unfortunately we had a pretty dissapointing stay at this hotel. We booked the hotel as our final stay during our vacation in Italy. It was supposed to be a luxureous and relaxing end to our vacation, but turned out to be a major bummer.

Our check-in and check-out was a pleasant experience, the reception staff was friendly and spoke English fairly well. That is where the positive things mostly ended though.

We booked a room with a bathtub but ended up in a room without one. Luckily we were able to swap to another room. The room seemed to be unchanged since 1960. Big wooden furniture, a hairdryer yellowed from aging in the bathroom, ugly white lights and carpet that seemed an age old.

It all made sense when we entered the restaurant (we booked half board), we were the only guests younger than 65 years old. The hotel was filled with old German people and the hotel was completely adjusted to this. Apparantly this hotel is a sanatarium for old Germans since the 1930's. (Should tell you enough).

The food, the music, the staff, nothing felt Italian! It was all plain dated German. The staff hardly spoke any English beyond the reception. I refused to speak German and my Italian did not suffice in all situations (since I'm Dutch).

We asked for a translated menu in the restaurant. What we received was a poorly translated mess that had us order food that came out completley different than we expected.

The photo's and advertisement make it seem as if this is a modern hotel, but don't fall for this disguise!

We ended up leaving a day earlier than expected because of all this. Fortunatley we received a discount because of our dissatisfaction.

In conclusion: If you're old and love Germany or the feeling of living in a world of 60 years ago, you can't miss this hotel. Otherwise, seek your stay elswewhere.
