Highlights include the Exceptional Spa Facilities: The variety and quality of the thermal pools were truly impressive. From the indoor pools to the outdoor thermal circuit, every area was well-maintained, clean, and inviting. The thermal water treatments left us feeling completely relaxed and revitalized.
Our very comfortable suite: Our room was spacious, elegantly furnished, an abundance of storage and extremely quiet — ideal for a restful stay. The bed was especially comfortable, and we appreciated the daily housekeeping that kept everything spotless.
Service & Staff: The staff were consistently professional, courteous, and eager to assist; very focused on providing a wonderful guests experience. Whether it was at the reception, the spa, or housekeeping, everyone contributed to making our stay as pleasant as possible.
Atmosphere: The hotel offers a calming ambiance, perfect for couples or anyone seeking wellness and relaxation. The tasteful decor and lush garden surroundings added to the overall tranquil setting. The gardens really were an oasis of calmness in which even our kids enjoyed it.
Area for Improvement:
Restaurant Layout & Buffet Traffic: The only downside we experienced was in the main restaurant area. While the food quality was good, the layout of the buffet area felt crowded and busy, especially during peak hours. There was quite a bit of foot traffic and movement around the buffet, which took away from what could have been a more relaxed dining experience. A redesign of the space or improved flow control could make a big difference.
Management is not paying attention that people coming back from the pools wet, dripping water on the stone floor in elevator.
But most upsetting was attitude of administration to this event. They not only didn’t ask us how to help, but from the beginning let us know that they are not responsible for what happened and have nothing to do with it. They even refused to provide us with an accident report.
It happened six months ago and my wife is still recovering after surgery.
In our view the most important what you would expect from the hotel it’s help when it’s needed.
There are many good hotels in Abano and we wouldn’t recommend this one.
PS. After we published this review, hotel reached out to us with apologies.
They promised to make sure to avoid similar incidents in the future and to improve communication skills of the staff
PS Eleven month after review we received response from hotel which stated that we’d asked for full reimbursement for medical treatment and hotel stay.
It is completely not true. We didn’t ask for any money, it opposite: hotel was trying to bribe us with €500 to remove our review.
We have multiple e-mails from hotel administration harassing us with this offer. Finally we even asked to leave us alone, promising otherwise to publish their e-mails.
Bottom line: accident happened because elevator floor was wet and we asked to prevent such accidents in the future.
It’s very sad that hotel administration is behaving in a such dishonest way
Service is always about people—people who love what they do and put their hearts into their work. At Mioni Pezzato, you’ll find such individuals.
First, a special mention goes to the owners, whose investment in the incredible pools enhances the entire experience.
Then, there’s M- me Emanuela, the Star of the treatments. Her massages are simply the best in the world, and she is a really wonderful person.
As for the restaurant, the staff are kind and attentive, especially Mr. Pietro and Mr. Alessandro , who left a great impression with his service.
However, we initially felt that the food didn’t meet our expectations. There was plenty of it, but not much of it was truly tasty.
That changed when we tried their risotto and cappellacci on Sunday. These dishes completely transformed our opinion of the kitchen. Whoever prepared them deserves a special mention for turning things around and leaving us with a positive impression of the restaurant.
The team at Mioni Pezzato makes the experience unforgettable, and we’re grateful for their efforts!
A clarification after the owner's response:
It is not true that I was offered to have the heating in the bathroom turned off. When I raised my concern about the room temperature (27.5°C, which rose even further overnight), my request was met with reluctance, unfriendliness, and a lack of understanding. I then asked to speak with the management, as I intended to leave the hotel the next day but was unwilling to pay the full amount for the remaining nights. I was informed that the manager was unavailable for the next few days and was told that if I left early, I would still be charged for the full booking. At that point, I admit my tone became less friendly.
The next day, I was suddenly informed that a room of a higher category on the north side had become available. Having had no sleep at all that night and seeing no other option, I accepted the room change. However, I made it clear that I expected a gesture of goodwill from the hotel, given the terrible first night and the unhelpful response to my initial request. I was then told that the hotel’s policy strictly prohibits any price reductions.
At no point did I threaten to leave a negative review. It was only after my stay that I decided to share my experience in a review.
Following the publication of my review, I was contacted by the hotel by phone, and they asked what could be done to have me remove it. Suddenly, they talked about potentially offering a refund for the surcharge for the upgraded room. So much for the hotel’s “strict policies.”
As I mentioned at the beginning, the hotel does not prioritize its guests' comfort and satisfaction, and I can only advise others to consider alternative accommodations.
