Ah... if I had read the negative reviews earlier: all the same as mine. Two things are striking about this hotel: the beauty of the pools and the incredible, baffling, incomprehensible rudeness of the staff. After receiving a ‘no’ for every request (asked for rooms next to each other but instead we were located on two different floors, 28.5 degrees in the rooms but there is no AC, asked for a 30-minute late checkout but: NO!), we realised that in this hotel the staff do not manage but ‘command’ instead, to the tune of prohibitions, rules, procedures (some absurd, such as the closure of the pool bar for the Happy hour drink). The staff move along an electrified path. No seniors in sight, ever, all very young, inexperienced, uncertain. Food of a low standard and you have to argue not to pay an ‘avocado toast’ sent back without touching it as it was unacceptable. The staff (without no power) respond badly, mock you in front of the other (embarrassed) customers just because you get the wrong table at breakfast. An inconceivable culture for a five-star hotel that should be run with professionalism rather than with a medieval-style iron fist. Truth is that we were not in target: the regular guests are elderly, docile, obedient and above all: they come back. I will end on a note: Eleonora, the mythological Guest relations manager called us but never found a minute to meet with us. In 3 days. What a pity.. although I am sure the answer by Social media team will start with "we are glad you liked our pools".

It’s not about service or food. It was average. But my wife two days before our departure slipped on the wet floor in the elevator and broke her knee cap.
Management is not paying attention that people coming back from the pools wet, dripping water on the stone floor in elevator.
But most upsetting was attitude of administration to this event. They not only didn’t ask us how to help, but from the beginning let us know that they are not responsible for what happened and have nothing to do with it. They even refused to provide us with an accident report.
It happened six months ago and my wife is still recovering after surgery.
In our view the most important what you would expect from the hotel it’s help when it’s needed.
There are many good hotels in Abano and we wouldn’t recommend this one.

Very nice hotel with wonderful swimming pools and SPA zone and a lot of treatments in it. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room that we had wasn't so nice but unfortunately was the only one available at the time so make your reservation on time if you decide to visit this place. Everything else is for recommendation.

We've stayed here for two nights.
The SPA and the pools are great, there is something for everyone.
Breakfast is good, with a wide selection of both sweet and savory. They also make you pancakes and omelettes on the spot, which is nice. At dinner the food was very hit-or-miss; while the entrées were all pretty good, most of the main dishes and pretty much all of the desserts were pretty bland.
The gym has many different cardio machines, but it's very limited in the strength training department: there is nothing to train your quads and hams, or your lower back. There is also no close by drinking water nor any towels.
The rooms are spacious, but they can get very hot; I was told that the air conditioning had been turned off for the whole building.

We experience a Professional hotel staff and good cuisine in beautiful modern resturant and its SPA facilities are modern and clean

Mid May 2023. This is probably the best overall luxury / value hotel i’ve stayed in over 40 years of travel. It is designed for your total relaxation and comfort. The staff is helpful, the rooms are large and clean, and the pool areas and new spa facilities are spotless. The ambiance, the food, the bubble jets and the grounds are all excellent and the price / value ratio is incredible. We stayed 9 wonderful nights and the end to end experience was outstanding. Thank you !

Hotel with a big potential unfortunately not yet fulfilled
For years our family visits Abano at least one time a year. This year we decided to try this hotel mainly because of good reviews.
Pros
Swimming pools
Three big swimming pools with strong water jets and area with saunas and snow room, etc. Clean and well maintained.
Beautiful garden and flowers all around.
Food
Very tasty and fresh at the restaurant. Breakfasts are rich. 15 euro lunch is an absolute steal. Also diners and selection of wines were nice.
Desserts are a bit of a lower quality, but are ok.
Cons
Staff
In general most of the staff is stressed, indifferent and rather cold.
There are some nice exceptions like lady chef in the dinning room with a beautiful smile, Eleonora at the reception who is very kind.
But most of the staff just does their job without any additional warmness and kindness. It something that hotel management and ownership should really look into if they aspire to develop and become better in a highly competitive market.
Housekeeping staff is particularly stretched and stressed. They run to make up rooms as they are given too many rooms in one shift.
The most appalling is head of the restaurant who is very rude with his staff. We heard him being very rude and using foul language when he was scolding his staff. It’s absolutely unacceptable in any line of work!
Triple standard rooms are absolutely not comfortable during the warm period. Exposed to the sun all day (situated on the south side), but with an old air conditioning system which is directed straight on the beds without proper regulation. As a result, not relaxing during the night and I’m leaving a hotel with a flu and a headache. No higher class rooms were available to make an exchange.
Recommend higher class rooms if travelling with kids.
Dinning room has an unfriendly shape and design. Buffet type of lunch might not be for everyone.
Customer-unfriendly policies
The hotel applies some very strange policies which are not customer orientated.
You can’t order coffee after lunch. Bar is closed. You are in Italy and you can’t as per Italian tradition have coffe after lunch!?
Very limited selection of drinks during the dinner time. If you ask something out of ordinary (draft beer for example), it’s not possible to accomandate. But for some strange reason for lunch is possible? Very confusing for the guests.
Also you need to beg for room service as it’s also something out ordinary. Especially when somebody is not well!
Summary
This hotel has good bones!
Could be a top hotel in the area if management takes seriously customer feedback and implements some changes.

Everything is great, the spa area is waw, dinner is good. The only thing I find exaggerating is surcharge for the dog, we stayed there 2 nights and paid 80€ only to have our little dog with us
