Beautiful boutique hotel with helpful and friendly staff. The rooms and the whole hotel very clean and well looked after. It looks as it is brand new although it is in existence for 20years already. It is great to see that the owners take it as a priority to care for the property. The restaurant meals very delicious using the fresh produce from their biodynamic garden, which can be visited by guests. We found their dishes well executed and full of flavours. Being from hospitality industry ourselves, it was pleasing to find such good food and service and of course, the view. Breakfast abundant with many delicious fresh options. All staff appeared happy and were very helpful, which is another important aspect in hospitality. Thank you so much for our beautiful stay, even if it was one night. But if we are ever back that way, we surely will be visiting at la Pergola again.

Air conditioning works well. Rooms are simple, yet comfortable. Aperol Spritz is respectable, with an incredible view. Ravioli and Almond Cake are oh so tasty and satisfying. Was recommended here by friends and would stay again.

My wife and I spent 7 days here in this hotel in Amalfi and it was terrific. The rooms are very nice and the staff are very helpful and courteous. It’s also located just 5 minutes away from downtown Amalfi by bus where all the restaurants, cafes and shops are at. From here you have an amazing view from your window and also the terrace above which has seats and a bar that serves appetizers. It also serves a free full breakfast with lots of assorted food.

There are so many superlative reviews (deservedly so!) for Hotel La Pergola, I’ll focus on some points that haven’t been covered as much.
1. Location. If you are spending a few days on the coast, you’ll want to base yourself in one place, that is a hub for the ferries and buses, so that you can make it to other parts on the coast relatively painlessly each day. Amalfi town is one such place. Within Amalfi town, you could find accommodations within the town, which would likely entail steps and winding streets. Or you could find yourself a place like Hotel La Pergola, which is right at a bus stop on the route between Amalfi and Positano/Sorrento, just a short ride out of Amalfi, which means you don’t have to deal with steps and getting lost with all your luggage. When you want to head out on adventures, a short bus ride into Amalfi town will get you started, for you to catch a ferry or bus to anywhere on the coast. For us, we skipped the bus and enjoyed the 25-min spectacular walk into town each day.
2. Breakfast. What a reason to get up each day. Breakfast doesn’t seem to be a strength at the average albergo in Italy. Hotel La Pergola is an exception that lays out all the works. Hams, cheeses, yogurts, sfogliatelle, at least half a dozen cakes, fruits and vegetables from their own garden. Maybe I shouldn’t say this, but all the makings were there for me to pack a little sandwich each day, which would turn out to be the food of the gods when I had it at the end of a divine hike in the natural splendour of the coast.
3. Mamma Rita. How hasn’t anyone spoken about Mamma Rita, the mother of the place, who bustles about in colour and cuteness. She makes all the cakes and teaches the cooking class, and just makes the place joyful.
4. The people. Somehow, they’ve hit on a magic formula here where everyone on the team is a genuinely great person who will help us with anything. Whatever advice they gave us, we trusted. And what a pleasure to watch the sunset on the terrace with them and their lemon spritzes. A shout out to Mamma Rita, Daniele, Salvatore, Raffaele, Angelo, Walter, Mario, the beautiful cuoca, the cheerful cleaning ladies, and others whose names we didn’t learn.
I hope you all get a chance to experience this beautiful place.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful hotel in the Amalfi Coast and I must say, it was an experience of a lifetime. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the stunning location. The hotel is situated right on the coast, offering breathtaking views of the Mediterranean sea and the surrounding mountains.
One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the restaurant. The food was simply amazing. The menu featured a variety of delicious dishes, each expertly prepared using the freshest ingredients right from their garden. But what really stood out for me was the lemon spritz. It was the perfect refreshing drink to enjoy while taking in the stunning views.
I also have to mention the exceptional service I received from the hotel staff. The owner Dani was incredibly welcoming, and went out of his way to ensure that my stay was enjoyable. The waiters Andrea and Walter were also outstanding, providing excellent recommendations and making sure that I had everything I needed. Salvatore at the front desk was very helpful in making arrangements for my excursions, he was always friendly and attentive.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable experience in the Amalfi Coast. The location, restaurant, views, and service are all top-notch, and I can't thank the owner, Andrea, Salvatore, and Walter enough for making my stay so special.

I booked a cooking class at La Pergola for my wife's birthday. It was, by far, our favorite and most memorable experience in our trip to Amalfi.
We traveled up to the hotel's hillside farm with the owner, Daniele, to pick fresh ingredients. The view from the top of the hotel is breathtaking. Then we used the ingredients to make a caprese salad, eggplant parmesan, and an incredible lemon cake all from scratch with Daniele and his family.
Our trip to Hotel Ristorante La Pergola was absolutely incredible. Would recommend to anyone.
