Rocco Forte Villa Igiea

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Igea. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was equally impressive. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our visit.

One small detail I noticed, however, was that for a hotel in this price range, you expect everything to be perfect. The garden could have been better maintained some of the palm trees looked quite dry and the greenery wasn’t as neatly trimmed as you’d expect.

That said, these were minor issues in an otherwise fantastic experience. I will definitely be coming back!

From the moment we arrived at Villa Igiea, the experience was next-level. We were kindly offered a room upgrade at check-in, and that small gesture made a huge difference. The extra space gave our kids room to play and relax, and it gave my wife and me the rare chance to enjoy a peaceful moment together on the terrace—just the two of us. It completely elevated our stay.

The valet and front-of-house staff were exceptional. Honestly, it’s some of the best service I’ve ever received at any hotel. They anticipated our every need—bringing water and towels without us even asking—and they made getting our car seamless. The attention to detail, speed, and professionalism set a new standard for any place we visit going forward.

The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every meal was full of flavor, and the ambiance matched the quality. The resort is packed with thoughtful touches throughout—from the décor to the service—that remind you you’re in a world-class destination.

In every way, this was a true five-star experience. We’re incredibly grateful and can’t wait to come back.

We had a wonderful experience at Villa Igiea! Everything was exceptional - the room, the stunning views, the food, the staff and overall service, etc. One particular experience that was above and beyond was when Phillip, a member of the front desk staff, brought his personal backgammon set for us to play after my husband had expressed interest in finding a board in town and playing. Would definitely recommend a stay at this beautiful hotel!

Villa Igiea is honestly incredible. The place is even more beautiful in person—everything from the views to the decor is just next level. It has this amazing old-world charm but still feels super luxe and comfortable.

Our room had the dreamiest view, and the whole vibe of the hotel is so peaceful and elegant. Perfect spot to unwind. The pool area and gardens are stunning too—we spent hours just relaxing there.

The staff were so kind and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed without ever being too much. And the food? So good. Every meal felt special.

We left feeling totally recharged and already planning our next visit. If you’re heading to Palermo, this place is a must!

I would like to recommend it as the #1 best hotel in Sicily. It is unfortunate that the swimming pool is not open, but it has all the advantages of a hotel. All the staff were friendly and the food was so delicious. Although the hotel is old, it was very clean.
