The location was quite far from Catania center with no options for food in the afternoon or in the evening and no shops around either. However the hotel itself was very nice and rooms were spacious. Didn’t try any food, but the breakfast (very good one) there, cause I was there for a work event so literally all the time I spent at the hotel nothing was working ( also the lobby bar closed relatively early)

A 4-star hotel that could more aptly be described as a falling star... The place is far from the standards expected of a 4-star establishment and seems to have lost its charm since its creation in the 80s/90s. The Deluxe rooms are "Deluxe" in name only, with outdated decor and sloppy finishes. Everything appears to have been patched up in haste.
Moreover, this hotel will treat you to nights filled with the noise from open-air nightclubs along the beachfront. It's far from the Sheraton 4-star standard, and the price is exorbitant for the services provided.

Beware!
Location is beyond the realms of the city (easy 25 minute drive without traffic - note, without Traffic).
The staff seem a little sluggish and are prone to making the guests to wait. The Hotel is outdated as with many southern Eu establishments. The walls are a bit thin.
Please be aware that the hotel hosts many local business conferences and is truly not the place for people on vacation. There are far better choices within Catania that are in close proximity to good food and better service.
If you are one that likes the quiet then i strongly suggest that you call beforehand and enquire if any local conference is taking place during your stay!
p.s. The beach of the hotel ( it is a jetty upon rocks ), is not the cleanest of places to swim and I have heard that Northern Sicily is the place you'd want to go.

About 30 minutes from Catania with a few local restaurants but no shops. The staff at this site make up for the sites short falls. This site is for most a conference centre against a holiday hotel. On site there are a few shops catering for evening events, a travel tour company and a small souvenir shop. There is a good pool on site and a small gym. Across the road is the best place to eat in walking distance in the evening at Mamas which is down some stairs to sea level and at street level is their cafe which is OK. The hotel reception, bar and breakfast room are excellent and speak very good English. How ever this is a large conference facility so expect crowds and conferences elements to also be out around the bar with bright spot lights. Ask when booking do they have anything booked. This week was a medical convention with about 500 delegates. The element that lets the site down is the rooms as they are a little dated and not the standards of your normal Marriott hotel who own Sheraton. We had two different room during our stay and the toilet was right behind the bathroom door which was dangerous at times. Also the TV system is not the usual Marriott product wrapping and channels. There is on site parking at $18 a day, but you need to leave your keys in the car underground or there is street parking by the hour which was less than $5 over night. Worth a try for a few days especial as the breakfast is reasonable which is extra. Hope this helps. 👍

I would not recommend this hotel. Staff was super nice, but rooms need to be renovated as well as the rest of the hotel. The Pool was closed and there is no beach either. There is a huge street in front of the hotel and it is 6km outside of Catania. That means either to take the bus which departs every hour or to take a taxi. There are not many restaurants or anything else worth visiting close by.

Thanks for a wonderful stay. The hotel common area is just great: very well designed, art works all over, very attentive staff. The room was good, a bit older but totally up to a good standard. We had a beautiful sea view.
We used the bar which had a good variety on offer and nice seating.
Underground parking was very practical.
Breakfast staff were very helpful. The variety and quality on offer could be improved.

Although the hotel is old fashion but the service and facilities are good .
The location is very good , I like the “FON Art Gallery “ concept exhibited in the lobby, each floor.
Staff is very helpful especially the waitress in the breakfast time.
Parking is available.

Nice view. Poor location far from Catania central. Far from all amenities. Everything is a charged extra. Laundry service is ludicrously expensive. No decent supply of essential items like cutlery crockery and coffee tea sugar. Breakfast is expensive. Most staff were not informative about local sites and how to get around. Only Gaetano helped us and was very kind. Rooms were infested with mosquito's got bitten as no fly screens. Shower was awkward to use and dangerous. Leaky drippy shower. Just found the whole experience mediocre they literally provide a bed and sheets beyond that everything is a bother and an extra. Very disappointed.

As per my experience, I booked this hotel becu i wanted a sea view. But as usual the administration have same excuses that all the sea side rooms are booked. Second, rooms are not so good. Door has a broken locks, no fridge filled and even don’t keep a water bottle in room. Really shame to management who saving money in water. Last point is location, which is really far from the city center. If you planning to come by local city bus then you have to wake around 2 km. If you book a taxi, you need to pay 23-35 euro depends on demand. So before book this hotel, think twice. Next time i will book in city centre with even less money. For example, b&b is good one.

The hotel location is excellent although there no no beautiful views of the city from the hotel. Restaurant is great especially the breakfast menu. The beds are excellent and cozy
