Le Calette Garden & Bay Mini-hotel

We had a great stay on our honeymoon at Le Calette! It was extremely pricey and you're really paying for the beautiful view, beach club & pool access. Room was nice, on the small side but the view of the sea is really special. We had an incredible dinner at Cala Luna which was a highlight meal of our trip. Utilizing the beach club beds and service was also one of our favorite things to do! On the negative side - out of all the hotels we stayed in the service here was the least friendly. The front desk argued with us on our checkout time saying that the time on our confirmation email now needed to be an hour earlier which we obviously didn't abide by because it's not what was promised. We also let them know it was our honeymoon and this was the only hotel that didn't offer a bottle of champagne or anything special and overall gave us the least special service which for the price was surprising. Another thing to note is that taxis into town are $20-30 euro each way which was high for a 10 minute trip. For the price I would've assumed a shuttle would be included. Overall would stay here again but not for the peak pricing we paid.

Pros
- We were upgraded to a Cabana which had a fantastic whirlpool and was super modern.
- The spa facilities are top notch and we loved our spa experience
- The dinner at Cala Luna was spot on
- The facilities of beach and pool are indicative of its 5 star status - definitely has everything
- Lots on offer for breakfast; ingredients were fresh and I could order hot meals off menu which was much appreciated

Just a couple of points;

- During the second evening of my stay I noticed that a patch of my hair turned green - this is a reaction between my dyed blonde hair and copper chloride dihydrate.

In the bathroom the hand shower had blue-green crystal deposits on the hand shower head. I appreciated managements kindness but it does need to be looked at because the reality is I will have to have the discoloured hair cut out.

- There were some flies on the meats and cheeses during breakfast, covering those plates would make for an easy fix

We only stayed at Le Calette for one night, and honestly, we regret it hadn’t been longer! The staff were welcoming, friendly, and professional. We were greeted with a welcome drink, and our host personally took the time to sit with us and explain everything we needed to know about the hotel and our stay.
We were also upgraded to a different room than the one we had booked, such a thoughtful touch. The room and amenities were excellent, and breakfast the next morning was served in the most beautiful setting, with a good selection of food.
Every detail felt carefully thought out, and the atmosphere was both relaxing and elegant. We truly had a lovely time here, and we’re already looking forward to returning, next time for many more nights!
If I could make one small suggestion, it would be to offer a shuttle service to the town center or at least an easy transfer from and to the station, when guests are travelling by train to Cefalu. Otherwise, everything was absolutely wonderful.

Very nice hotel, lovely pool area. The reef beach club is a beautiful setting. Breakfast was complimentary and very yummy! However, it’s very overpriced for the quality. There are aspects that don’t feel like a true 5 star, luxury hotel. Breakfast service is very very slow, beds were uncomfortable, beach club service was slow and sunbeds were tattered. I wouldn’t splurge on this as there are other 5 stars in the area that are a bit nicer for the same amount of money

There’s truly no better place to disconnect and experience a quintessential Sicilian escape than this charming hotel perched on a cliff in Cefalù. It’s lovingly owned and run by a beautiful family who are present on the property, and it shows—every detail has been thoughtfully considered.

We’ve stayed here twice now, and each time has been more special than the last. Breakfast is a magical experience under the open sky, and returning for dinner in the evening is even more unforgettable. The beach club is fantastic, and the service is always impeccable.

On one visit, we brought our dog, and although pets aren’t usually allowed, they made a one-time exception for her. It’s just one example of how they go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome.

If you’re lucky enough to make it to Cefalù, this is the place to be. Take a kayak and discover the cove!!!

Just spectacular from the moment you check in…

Lovely hotel with a really relaxed atmosphere. Our room was 2nd floor overlooking the pool. Very comfortable and lovely view but the bathroom is not 5 star. Strange arrangement with the shower and toilet. Notwithstanding that the bathroom amenities were a lovely Sicilian brand. Location is 25min walk into town, not for those who struggle with walking but we enjoyed it. The hotel never felt busy and there’s lots of different places to relax and enjoy the weather with great facilities. Staff are super friendly too.

We had a wonderful stay, it was our honeymoon and we got a free upgrade to one of their suites.

Absolutely perfect and can walk to Cefalu.
