We were at Locanda al Castello last Sunday for a first time but I thing also for last. Pasta were horribly uncooked. The rest of the food ok.

The hotel looks quite old, probably not much maintenance, the rooms are OK, the hotels location could be better as this was a very nice city. The shortcomings of the hotel can probably be explained with the fact that it is the only one in the municipality, and because of the yearly event hosted there and the scenic city with a beautiful river dividing it, gets quite a number of visitors.

I have been many times in this Hotel. Practically the only hotel in the center of the town. Not a fancy luxury one but does the job for one night to stop in this lovely town. It’s in the center and has parking. Breakfast is simple and also the rooms. But good priced.

The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The location is great for walking to local restaurants. The bike storage was great with lots of room for many bikes and a locking door. The breakfast was nice with a good selection. I forgot an item and the staff found another person in my party to ensure that I got it back. Extremely helpful and amazing that they would take the time to ensure I got the item

What impressed me most at hotel Roma was the staff. Breakfast was very nice and everyone was working to make it pleasant for everyone. They have a great bike storage area and are nicely located. We left a water bottle there and they wrapped it and asked some other bicyclists to bring it to our next town. That was incredibly thoughtful!

I would describe this hotel as quirky. Old building and a nice garden with very modern buildings added; some stylish decor in the entrance of the old hotel and perhaps the garden, but in other areas on the ground floor and in our room, I did not love the colour scheme or furniture, or the use of curtains instead of cupboard doors. Beautiful house in a comfortable walking distance from the center. Great design of the room, perfect amenities and hosts. Easy parking. Swimming pool and design terrace where even at breakfast smooth jazz plays in the background. It's just so relaxing.

Small hotel and small rooms. But worth of the price. The breakfast was one of the best in Italy. There was only an electricity socket for the room, which was a problem for us but we were prepared to bring our own electric extension cord. The beds had a memory mattress, which was awesome.

Not great, but did the job. About 17 minutes walking distance to the Old Town. Not much around the hotel. Parking is in front of the hotel, as well as 50m away, with barier and code (getting it from the Reception desk). The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The small AC unit was unfortunately not very efficient, was warm in the room.

We very much enjoyed our stay, cleanliness was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. The only downside was the quality of the breakfast, just not very tasty, but there was such a large buffet that we managed to find some things we liked. Will definitely return, excellent value.

It is our second time in this hotel. And we would not stay here again if we were not satisfied. Hotel is located not far from the center. There are plenty of places to see and to eat around. The pet's friendly policy is very important for us as we travel with a cat. We would recommend to take a breakfast option as with a variety of the cold and hot food it is good. The only minus is a poor soundproof...

Small AND fine. Lovingly furnished and free coffee in the room. Then it doesn't matter if breakfast is overflowing in the morning... 10 minutes with a coffee on the balcony and that's it. I didn't see the fact that there was only telephone service in the evening as a defect, but rather recognized it as a clever concept. Because why increase staff costs = room costs when the old town is so beautiful...

One of the best Hotels I've ever been! We just dropped in by chance, since we were on a road trip heading southwards. The operator has been so hearty and helpful. Perfect location just around the corner from the train station. Bike friendly facilities with a safe bike storage room. Reception open 24/7, English speaking staff. Able to accommodate an early breakfast before 7AM.

We booked last minute (30 min before arrival). Hotel looks like it has seen better times, very central, close to the main station. The rooms were kinda old, but the bathroom was clean. The room itself had carpet, which I highly dislike. The two dudes at the reception were super friendly and typical Italian. Breakfast was 100% Italian 😂 don't expect too much.

The room are nice and clean, room service is OK, the breakfast diversity choices are enough to satisfy the normal request for the level stars of the hotel. What is deplorable is the WI-FI internet service. You cannot actually work on the hotel network. Multiple disconnecting, very low signal... It sucks !!! If I knew this before I've didn't choose it. Overall, if you don't need internet it's ok.

Location of the hotel is good, within walking distance to some bars and restaurants. Underground parking is a bit tight for bigger cars but ok. Rooms are basic and dated, but fairly clean. In general, it looks and feels like budget hotel. On the other hand - walls are thin, a lot of noise from the street, the room which we got was fairly tired. Ryanair booked this for a large group of us after flight cancellations. Room and amenities were decent with breakfast and staff were happy to assist us with queries and booking transport. As ryanair footed the bill I can't comment on the value for money. Breakfast in photo.

Location is excellent: 5 minutes to reach the center by car and the same to get all the highways you need to go around or to go to Austria for example! Hotel is very clean and well organized with several parking spots and a garage underground. Rooms are very quiet!!!

Location is NOT bad, just a bit from the center which is reachable by car in about 6 minutes. Staff were wonderful, from breakfast room to front desk. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. It was a great place to stay while in Udine.

Overall the hotel was ok. Clean rooms and friendly staff. However, air conditioning was not working which made it super exhausting to sleep. Parking was really small and it's been stressful to leave a car there and not worry about it getting scratched.

I arrived here after a really long hard day involving a lot of travelling by car. So I was tired but the friendly atmosphere and nice manners of the staff welcomed gave me a wonderful welcome. They quickly checked me into a very spacious and clean room. Definitely would stay here again!

Small, family like hotel, where they like cyclists. Right at the edge of old town, it is suitable to explore the city as well as city surroundings. Your bike will be safely locked in a bike cage, in a yard accessible to guests only. Rooms are a bit on a smaller size, but you have all that you need.

We were here just over the night. The hotel is nicely designed, an interesting combination of modern and old style (see photos). Everything clean, nothing broken. The service is super friendly and the breakfast, that is included in the rental fee can be served to the room and is absolutely worth the price. It was very good and worth an extra recommendation. I had a single room, single bed. Facilities in the room are ample for a short stay. Room was clean which is a plus as many hotel room aren't.
