Hotel Villa Flori

The hotel left us with mixed feelings. We arrived much earlier than the check-in time and wanted to leave our bags at reception. We were told that if the room was ready, we could check in, but unfortunately, it wasn’t. We decided to go out and explore, and when we returned, we were simply handed our room key without any explanation about breakfast times, the spa location, or how to make reservations. This lack of information was somewhat surprising.

When booking through Booking.com, the room description indicated “Lake View,” and we assumed there would be a balcony, as the main reason for choosing this hotel was the view of the lake. However, the initial room we were given only had a small window with a view. After returning to the reception and discussing the issue, they did switch our room to one with a balcony, which we appreciated.

There was another unusual moment: I asked at reception if I could get a corkscrew sent to our room, but they directed me to the bar. This was unexpected, as in my experience, most hotels simply say, “We’ll bring it to your room.” Nevertheless, I didn’t mind going to the bar. There, the staff handed me the corkscrew and added, “We only have one, so please bring it back when you’re done!” This lighthearted exchange added a bit of charm to the experience.

Breakfast service was excellent, with attentive staff. However, for a 4-star hotel, it could use some updates — for instance, the room lacked a smart TV, which feels like a standard feature at this level.

The only thing you get from paying big money in this hotel is a balcony with an amazing view of the lake, a beautiful view at breakfast and friendly staff in general.
The room is horrible, it's very small, you can barely walk if you have a suitcase or two there. The food, coffee, breakfast, location are all bad. Definitely not worth the amount of money they will charge you. I would definitely look for a different hotel next time

The view is the only thing that made this hotel a good stay. The food at the restaurant was snack sized. Parking is €25 a night, and if you leave your parking space you are not guaranteed to have the space you paid for. The rooms are small and not clean. If you ask for a queen bed you will get 2 twin beds smashed together. The staff is not welcoming at all. I made a reservation for the Resturant and they didn’t even know that I was the person who made it. Like I said the only thing that made this hotel is the view. And by the way, if you do not have a lake view room I wouldn’t waste your money staying there. The other non lake views rooms are located near the busy street with plenty of noise. Also the cab drivers are crooked thief’s. If you book a cab they charge you the incoming transit and ride fee. No ATM in the hotel. Like I said the restaurant is extremely expensive for snack sized foods. Do not get the breakfast or parking it’s a waste of money. Honestly if you don’t get a lake view room this hotel is trash. The staff will not accommodate.
