Giuseppie welcomed me at the entrance with a warmth and grace that felt like an old friend returning home. He offered a gentle tour on the way to the spa, his kindness and professionalism shining through every word before he left me to wander freely, lost in the quiet magic of the gardens.

There’s history here—deep, sacred history that reaches back to the 1600s, when this serene sanctuary was once a monastery. You feel it in every stone, every echo of the past that lingers in the air.

At the spa, Natalie greeted me with such radiant warmth it lingered long after. And the massage—though I wish I could recall her name—was unforgettable, the best I’ve experienced since my time in Naples, Florida at a five-star retreat.

Dinner at the Michelin-starred restaurant was nothing short of a dream. Each course was a delicate masterpiece, and the atmosphere shimmered with beauty and quiet elegance. The staff, like everyone here, carried a graciousness that felt rare and deeply genuine.

I visited only three times—for the spa, dinner, and a quiet stroll—and yet, I can’t stop thinking about it. This place doesn’t just pamper the body—it renews the spirit. A stay here is a love letter to the soul.

My husband and I stayed at Monastero Santa Rosa for five nights in July 2025 for our honeymoon and were blown away with the beauty, grace, and charm of the hotel. It is situated on the mountain top with a stunning view of the Amalfi coast and the hotel has everything you need in the room and the resort at large. The spa was one of the best I have been to and the service received was excellent. The food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was premium quality and the service across the board was the very best I have ever had. We were relieved this was the last stop on our honeymoon since nothing else would have come close. The hotel is so well preserved as well and retains it's history, which is truly unique since the place is one of a kind.

I write this as I am still a guest at this most magical property. It has to be the best hotel in the world - how grateful I am that I was able to experience her. The rooms, the hotel grounds, the food, the spa, the staff, the amenities - this is a 7⭐️ experience. It is situated between Positano & Amalfi- you get the best of everything- secluded luxury and shuttle service upon request to and from Amalfi where you can stay or catch a ferry to Positano or wherever. We couldn’t bear to leave so we canceled our hotel in Naples and the MSR accommodated us by adding an extra night with such ease when I know it had to have caused disruption for them. They scheduled all of our private transfers and our amazing Capri boat day - I would have to list every staff member because they were all the best of the best. You must stay here if your plans include the Amalfi Coast. I didn’t even discuss the Michelin star restaurant or the spa (so you can unwrap their grandeur when you stay) This hotel and all of her magnificence has left an indelible mark that we will talk about for the rest of our lives-much love & many thanks for what you have created MSR staff🩷

This was hands down the most amazing five star experience I have ever had! So many compliments I’ll never get them all in. The attention on arrival thank you Pompe and Maria, the tour, the beautiful property and gardens, the rooms so very well appointed they didn’t miss a thing! The welcome champagne and fruit and dessert, the amenities, the pillows, the bedding, the towel warmer, the shower, the potpourri in the closet every last detail was covered! The turn down service, the food, the spa and service was spectacular thank you Natalie! The view, the pool, thank you Luca and Carmine and Maryana! The restaurant fantastic thank you to Matteo and Andrea and Fabio. As far as the Michelin restaurant it was the best dinner I have had at a Michelin restaurant yet! Every dish was perfection and service was top notch. Do not miss dining at Il Refettorio!

We had the most magnificent stay at Monastero Santa Rosa! The hotel and grounds were so beautiful and well-maintained. We booked the smallest room they had (Crocus) but it didn't matter because there were so many beautiful places you wanted to be around the hotel, whether by the infinity pool, lounging in one of the many beautiful gardens, or enjoying the spa facilities. The food was unbelievable as was the service. Everyone at the hotel treated us like we were their favorite guests. We hope to go back!!

A 5-star review doesn’t even do this experience justice. Monastero advertises relaxation and luxury and it delivers. Every single detail (from the supplied pool bag in the closet to the “confession” style room service order) feels curated to the experience. They offer a complimentary shuttle into Amalfi (about a 10 minute drive), the service is top notch, the rooms were exceptionally clean… I could go on. You CANNOT visit Amalfi and not stay here. Thank you for such a wonderful honeymoon experience- we can’t wait to hopefully be back ❤️

Enjoyed a Spa day and it was wonderful. Beautiful location and terrific services. I especially enjoyed the facial treatment. Although, they advertised thermal pools it was just a normal spa room with hot tub, sauna, steam bath, foot bath and rain/misty shower. I was expecting more of a natural hot springs from the “thermal pools” term, but fully enjoyed what they had to offer.

I cannot say enough good things about the Monastero. From the impressive location, the beautiful property, the amazing gardens, to the infinity pool, the impeccable service, the kindness and warmth of the smiley personnel accompanied by a myriad of personalized touches: everything contributes to making the stay at this hotel perfection!

It is hard to find enough superlatives to describe this magical place. Every aspect of our stay was among the best that we have ever experienced starting from our welcome, to the superbly appointed rooms, stunning views, gardens, pool, and spa. The food is locally sourced, delicious, and beautifully presented. Do not miss a meal at the Michelin-starred restaurant - they prepared superb vegetarian options for us. Above all, it really seemed like every member of the staff could not do enough for us. We will remember our stay fondly and we hope to come back to this oasis of understated luxury, quietude, and beauty.

Best hotel we have ever stayed at (and we travel a lot!). Please do yourself and favor and book this hotel. It was a dream come true - the attention to detail, service, comfort, and views were incredible. Lots of privacy and amazing staff!!
