Grand Hotel Tritone

Wife and I stayed here for a few nights. It's a super nice location with spectacular views. The rooms were pretty nice and spacious with a balcony. The hotel helped us arrange transport to/from Naples.

It's a pretty confusing layout given it's on the side of a cliff but once you get your bearings it's not too hard to get around. The food is very good, most places costing ~€30 per entree and €20 for cocktails. But it's at a pretty high quality, the pizza Tritone at the bistro is top notch.

Also highly recommend the day trip to Capri, you get picked up right at the dock and get to visit for ~3hrs.

My only complaint is that the water is not potable, and there's no free water, so you have to pay €3 for .75cl bottles to keep you hydrated. I would've been fine with some non-fancy water bottles to have something readily available.

Everything was perfect: the location, room, views, food, the beach club and waters are beautiful! But what makes this place more special is the very professional and warm staff including the owner who has a rockstar dog and enjoys entertaining the guests!

GHT was an incredibly unique place to stay. Engineering marvel carved into the cliff side with views from every window and balcony. The hotel isn’t modernized and the rooms are still very classic and probably look similar to how they looked when the hotel first opened, but that doesn’t matter as much when you’re there, you’re just happy to be there. Staff were very kind and helpful, almost acting as personal concierges for your needs. The food was truly some of the best, and the private beach club sets this place apart from anything else in Positano and Praiano.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Tritone at the end of June 2024 for our 10-year wedding anniversary. Everything about this hotel was beyond amazing!! The hotel is located on top of a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean sea giving you the most amazing view points of both Positano and Praiano. Hotel guests are able to take a unique elevator through the cliff side down to the beach club where you also have fantastic ocean front views and the option to swim over to a private beach. We loved being able to enjoy both the high rise overview of the sea as well as the oceanfront view, something not every hotel can offer. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. We were able to book water taxis and a boat tour through the hotel and both picked us up right at the hotel's beach club. There were also so many terraces and balconies to sit and enjoy the lovely views. One of our favorite attributes of the hotel was the carved out cave along the sea you walk through in order to get to the beach club. It was fun to explore this neat hotel. Everything about this hotel was relaxing and easy! We hope to make it back again soon.

One of the standout features of this hotel is its culinary offerings. The food here was simply divine. I highly recommend getting the Pizza Tritone - an absolute must!

My stay at the Grand Hotel Tritone was absolutely amazing! The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was exquisite, with a variety of delicious dishes that exceeded our expectations. Our room was beautifully appointed, offering stunning views and the utmost comfort.

The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the beach bar and beach club. Taking the stairs down to the beach was a phenomenal experience, offering breathtaking scenery and a sense of adventure. I can't wait to come back again for sure!

For us, this is the most perfect hotel there is. The views, the facilities and the staff exceeded expectations on every level.

The breakfast was of an extremely high standard and the restaurant was an enjoyable experience with a standard of service that is hard-to-find.

The bartender at the pool Paulo is an expert in his craft and extremely helpful. I would have loved a casual dining options poolside to save me a walk into town, besides this it was a flawless experience. Thank you

Grand Hotel Tritone is the best hotel I’ve ever been to. The entire hotel is presented to such a high standard at all times. The food is fantastic, especially the breakfast buffet. It is in a quiet location were you have the chance to relax away from the busy town centres. But the best part of our stay by far was the staff, especially the wait staff. They were all so friendly and went above and beyond whenever possible to make sure everything was perfect.

A wonderful hotel in an amazing part of the Amalfi coast.
This is no basic hotel, it is set (literally) into the cliff face.
You have these amazing lifts that take you down through the cliff to various levels that end at the waters edge with the hotels beach club with relaxed restaurant and second swimming pool. Though you will want to jump into the clear waters of bay.

Had a fantastic stay here with family. Service is amazing. Special mention for Luigi, the bar manager who attended to us for our anniversary and birthday dinner and made some of the best cocktails I've had. They were also very accommodating and helpful with requests around transportation and other items. Beach area is great, if not a bit of a time consumer as it takes ~10min to make your way down, but it's worth it. Would return.
