Caruso - A Belmond Hotel - Amalfi Coast is located in the town of Ravello along the Amalfi Coast. The hotel sits 350 meters above sea level offering magnificent views of the entire enchanting coastline. Ravello is close to popular tourist destinations such as Naples - Pompeii - Positano - Amalfi - Paestum and Capri. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from Amalfi and Positano during the day.

Caruso is an ancient palace with 18th century frescoes and terraced gardens. The crowning jewel of the hotel is its infinity swimming pool. At the highest level of the property - the edge of the pool is in line with the geography of the escarpment - giving the optical illusion that the water stretches out endlessly. Poolside services include a dedicated concierge - music - fruit and other luxuries. The hotels Belvedere gardens are a heavenly terraced retreat. Our stay at the Caruso Hotel in Ravello was nothing short of a dream. Having traveled extensively, we can honestly say this is the finest hotel experience we have ever had. From the very first moment we arrived, the warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care of the staff made us feel not only welcome, but truly cherished. Every detail was so thoughtfully considered that it felt as though the entire property was working in harmony to create something magical just for us. The setting itself is breathtaking – perched high above the Amalfi Coast with sweeping views that take your breath away – but what truly sets the Caruso apart is its extraordinary service. The team anticipated needs we didn’t even know we had and went above and beyond at every turn. No request was too small, no detail overlooked, and every gesture was carried out with such grace and professionalism. Most importantly, they made our daughter’s wedding an experience that will forever live in our hearts. What could have been a stressful occasion was instead seamless, elegant, and unforgettable. Every aspect of the celebration was elevated by their dedication – from the flawless coordination to the personal touches that made the day uniquely ours. They created not just a wedding, but a memory that will be cherished for generations. We had lunch at Caruso Grill and loved every moment. The location is truly stunning and the food is excellent. Based on recommendation from staff Giovanni and Luigi, we had the Caprese, spaghetti Caruso and grilled sea-bream. It was all so delicious. Also we loved the open kitchen and meeting the chef directly. A true highlight of our trip on the Amalfi coast. Thank you Giovanni and Luigi!

Stayed here to celebrate a birthday and it did not disappoint. Beautiful room with a view and a bucket list experience. Perfection and a treat from start to finish - from the handwritten welcome note and leaving note (and gift) from the manager to the lovely kind staff at reception , concierge, breakfast and the pool. Special mention to Gabriela at reception, and Giusi, Jada & Julia at breakfast. We didn’t catch everyone’s names but everyone was so lovely. Thank you for making this a trip to remember!

We travel few times a year on leisure and I usually don’t write a review unless I had a really good or really bad experience. I have been going to Amalfi Coast every year from the States for over 25 years. We find the region beautiful, relaxing with great food. We started going to Hotel Caruso in 2005 when they first opened and have been going there ever since missing one year because of COVID. Usually we visit few places before we end our vacation there and we always realize this is the best hotel that we stayed on our trip. We just completed our visit and as usual it was prefect at Caruso. Frankly I was a bit worried at first after Alfonzo the General Manager moved to Belmond Splendido but the new General Manager Iolanda which I know for years has done an amazing job continuing the experience. I want to thank her and all her team for an amazing experience we had again and hope to see everyone next year.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away at the beauty of the hotel. No one does style and elegance like the Italians, and the Belmond epitomises this. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the room we were given was beautiful with an amazing view over the coast. However, we were directly next to the balcony in reception, so every morning when we were sitting outside, people were coming out onto this balcony from the reception, so there was very little privacy. On our first night, we ate at the Belvedere restaurant and had the fish tasting menu, which was delicious. The second night, we ate at the Grill and had a poor experience. We were seated in a corner and felt forgotten. After a long wait, we were asked what food we wanted even though no one had asked us if we wanted a drink. We ordered the tune tarta, which was swimming in a tasteless sauce. I then ordered a pizza, and this was one of the worst pizzas I have ever eaten. It was a wet, sloppy, and tasteless lump of dough. We reported this to the team, and the manager came over and apologised and did not charge us for the food we ate, which was the right thing to do. The next day, the head chef spoke to us and apologised. He asked us to try again, and we declined due to the previous nights experience. This was the last evening meal we had at the hotel. The swimming pool is simply stunning with the best view we have ever seen from a pool. Staff were attentive, and the food at the bar, including the lobster rolls, was delicious. The bar is a great place to enjoy an evening drink and again the staff were wonderful. The reception team and concierge could not do enough for us and always greeted us with a smile. They also recommended a great fish restaurant called Trattoria Lorenzo, which was superb and only a 15-minute drive away. At breakfast, there is a vast choice of cheeses, meats, cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, and hot dishes, and I have to say the scrambled eggs were the best I have ever eaten. Simple yet cooked and seasoned perfectly. The question is would we stay again at this hotel and the answer is a huge yes. Even though the Grill restaurant let us down and our rooms balcony lacked privacy, we couldn't fault anything else.

Today was a great happening in Ravello, at the Hotel Caruso Belmond. Hospitality, Professionalism, and Class. All coordinated by the mastery of Giovanni S. A wonderful experience of relaxation and well-being. Strolling through the lush gardens with breathtaking views was a thrill for the soul. In the spirit of friendship and sharing, we enjoyed the chef's delicacies and were pampered by the Grill Bar staff. What can I say? Thank you all so much. See you soon for new experiences.

Simply one of the best hotels on the Amalfi coast. Beautiful hotel rooms along with beautiful pools with views overlooking the Amalfi and Salerno Italy . The views from all lounging areas and bars and restaurant are spectacular. Highly recommend having a spritz by the pool and taking a nice dip in the pool when you are staying there. I must thank Luigi the concierge for his welcoming, greetings very professional. Thank you, Luigi. and all the staff at the bars and lounges what a great experience.

The best hotel we have ever stayed in! I proposed to my fiance at the Caruso, we were given a complimentary upgrade on arrival with an amazing terrace and sea view for me to propose on. The hotel manager met us on arrival and welcomed us to the hotel. Andrea & Francesca were amazing during our entire stay. We hope we can return one day!

We stayed for three nights at the start of the season. Despite the cold weather the team ensured we had a fabulous stay. Too many good staff to name check them all but Antonietta and Nicole on the front desk , were both excellent. Luis elevated a simple room service meal to fine dining fun. Breakfasts great.

Even if you can't afford the nightly rate for a room, stop by and have a drink and maybe a meal. On a beautiful sunny afternoon we stopped by the pool area and enjoyed a few drinks and lunch. The service and food was excellent and the view, simply amazing. Recommended
