Caruso, A Belmond Hotel, Amalfi Coast

I stayed at this hotel with my 3 sisters and everything exceeded our expectations. We booked two deluxe junior suites but were offered a free upgrade to a larger suite upon arrival. The views from the rooms were stunning and they both had a terrace with panoramic views. We had dinner at the restaurant with amazing food, all very good. We had great aperitifs with cocktails created by a talented barman on the terrace with a breathtaking view. We tried different treatments at the spa, both facial and body, and they were all exceptional. We went to the private beach which was very comfortable to reach thanks to the transfer and boat. There are few sunbeds on the beach so it is not very busy and there is a bar/restaurant where we had lunch and everything was very good. But what will always remain in our hearts is the kindness and hospitality of all the staff. Always attentive to all our needs (my sister suffers from celiac disease and as soon as we sat down to breakfast they started heating up gluten-free bread without asking for anything, just like when we sat down for an aperitif on the terrace in the evening they immediately brought her a special saucer). Special mention should be made of the breakfast with an extensive menu, a truly amazing jam prepared by the chef. It was an unforgettable stay and we hope it will become an annual one for us.

It is high price but worth it. Staff makes this hotel incredible. We’ve enjoyed every moment (got also free upgrade) and will return for sure.

The absolutely most spectacular hotel I’ve ever stayed at / been to. Immaculate rooms, lobby bars.. the beauty is never ending. Magic around every corner. The smallest details do not go unnoticed. The staff is incredible, friendly and attentive. It’s like they know what you need before you know you need it. We came here on our honeymoon and I wish we never had to leave. This is the first time I have stayed at a hotel like Caruso, I’m often quite cheap. I visited for a friends wedding, which was exceptional, and spent three nights in the hotel.

I have a room with a garden view, and it was fantastic. A nice marble bathroom, large living space, comfortable bed and great aesthetics. Housekeeping tidied in the morning and did a turndown service in the evening - which was pleasant given I was usually at a dinner and returned to slippers and floor mats.

The service here is truly second to none. Staff using your name, and remembering it over the course of the stay, you don’t need to lift a finger. The breakfast included in the stay, with a view over the coastline, is amazing. Bread selection, menu of choices, luxurious buffet, coffee and juice shots.

During lunch, I got some olive oil in my white shirt, they sprayed it and brushed it for me so it was almost spotless again - I’ve never experienced that before.

The pool is outstanding, although I didn’t use it, I had a coffee near it.

Being one to not spend this type of money for a hotel, but doing it for the sake of my friends wedding, I left with an experience I will never forget and never regret - so if you’re on the edge because of the price, I would encourage you to take the plunge.

With all good things, must come an opportunity for improvement. Regardless of the likelihood of a decent disposable income for guests of this hotel, 9€ for my favourite beverage, a Coke Zero, is too much. Being savvy of the market rate for this beverage, I didn’t feel the value but needed to satisfy the craving, however, I do understand that it’s not dramatically cheaper in the nearby restaurants and cafes, and its local community that’s supported - it doesn’t detract from my stay, but I don’t find it pleasant.

I would love to return one day.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. It is one of the nicest hotel we’ve ever been to. The view is gorgeous and the service was so good. They try so much to give you the best experience. The restaurant at the hotel is lovely but super expensive!

Just returned from a week's stay at Caruso and can't stop thinking about how wonderful it was. The hotel, the grounds, the staff, the views, the food - everything and I mean everything was excellent, beyond expectations. By far the best views on the Amalfi coast, incredible. I can't say enough about the staff, everyone was friendly, efficient, helpful and couldn't do enough to ensure we had a great time. Belmond should be very proud of this team, can't wait to return.

Best hotel in the region by far. The service is exceptional. The view is stunning. The property is beautiful and the gardens are amazing. The rooms are really well appointed with thoughtful items. The pool area is fantastic. The pizzas are excellent. The breakfast is the best I have had in Italy. The people
who work here make the place truly wonderful. They care, they are amazing with children and know how to thoughtfully engage. We had the best time. It is such a dreamy place.

My family had a wonderful experience in Caruso for two nights. The hotel offers amazing atmosphere, and the staff are so friendly and always happy to help out, especially the lady who helped us ( not sure if her name is Francesca) and Nicolo from reception. This is a hotel worthy to visit, and we will definitely come back!
