Hotel Zaro

I stayed in Zaro Hotel for a week and it was a lovely experience. We had a room overlooking the sea. Very welcoming and friendly staff. My sister and I are vegan, and it was very important to us to have plant based options and I must say I was very impressed, below a few pictures. Hotel itself is based on a hill, so there is a lot of walking around. It is a very calm area so it is a great place to relax and disconnect

In this hotel, the staff is nice and very helpful, they will tell you in great detail how to get there. The food is excellent, the staff in the kitchen is very attentive. Location good beach 200 meters from the hotel. The territory of the hotel is large with other vacationers do not intersect. Has its own garden. Jacuzzi and several pools, tennis court. The room was cleaned every day. The bar is open at any time. Grocery stores and cafes nearby. My girlfriend had a birthday during our stay, the hotel for its part did nothing. I ordered a cake at my own expense, the cake was not what I asked for, and when it was taken out for dinner, no one even congratulated my girlfriend from the staff, I would not like much more attention.

My girlfriend and I booked this hotel and I must say that when I arrived the hotel really met my expectations. The structure is equipped with all covid 19 devices with very specific rules that are followed by the staff. Good rooms, clean and spacious. The garden is well maintained, as are the pools and sunbathing area, including the bar. Everything is very beautiful! It also offers wonderful sea views. Congratulations to the management and staff.

Very cool though 1400 Euros but it's worth the shorter class!

Hotel Zaro is located on the outskirts of Forio, on the island of Ischia. Good hotel for a relaxing holiday. Well-groomed territory, many tropical plants, lemon trees and a vegetable garden. The interior has beautiful Mallorcan floors and massive natural wood furniture. To the beach 5 minutes, you can also lie down by the pool. There is enough space for everyone. At 15 min. walk is the beautiful botanical garden of La Mortella. I recommend Hotel Zaro for a holiday on the island of Ischia.

Rooms: Normal hotel rooms, clean, with AC, balcony was nice, for evenings with a bottle of wine. Fridge small, but sufficient for 2 big bottles of water and a few beers.
Food: Breakfast could have been a bit richer, esp. in terms of fruit and warm things (no bacon etc), but I always found enough tasty things to completely stuff my belly. Dinners were delicious and big, but you had to be there on time at 19:30, because it really took until closing time at 21 to finish all the courses. Great salad bar and a choice of several primi (great pasta) and secondi (almost always there was some see food), and cake or fruit for a dessert. I gained several kilos in one week:-) Of course great coffee and good wine.
Outside: Pool big enough for swimming, usually only very few people there (maybe it was because it was end of August), it was nicely quiet there, fine for reading a book under a tree, and most of all, it was quiet in the evening, no music, no animation program, just perfect.
Beach: The main public beach was ca. 1 km away and not the cleanest but it was ok. Water not very deep near the shore, ok for kids. Or when we were lazy, we left our stuff at the pool area and went to have a quick swim at the private beach/small piece of public beach ca. 150 m away..
Area: There were many restaurants and a decent store nearby (7 minutes). Center of Forio about 20 minutes away, but we went there only once, it is quite small. Bus station ca. 10 minutes away to get to other parts of the island.
Overall, we were very satisfied and would come again, but of course we want to see other parts of the world:-)
