The beaches and layout areas are on cement piers. At first I was a little surprised, but have grown to love it and the cleanliness of the sunbathing experience

The pool and private beach are great. The water is perfect and the scenic backdrop could not be better. The staff are very respectful and accommodating and go out of their way to ensure a pleasant day by the water

This place is absolutely amazing!!! A great resort with a phenomenal location. My family has received excellent service from the minute we arrived. So good in fact we extended our stay for another day

They have a one star Michelin restaurant on the premises (Indaco). The food and staff were phenomenal. One of the best meals I have eaten. I had the Vegetarian tasting menu and it blew me away

This review is really just for the service and food at the poolside restaurant, La Baia. We were staying at a different hotel on Ischia and decided to check out The Mezzatorre for lunch

We had the most incredible stay here for our anniversary in October. They gave us a room upgrade, and made sure our whole stay was incredible

You can book a room in the tower and imagine that You - a Princess ??? Well for princes, there is a huge luxurious duplex Suite with incredible panoramic sea views! Nearby is Negombo thermal Park - very green (true to its exotic name)

The best part by far was the hotel team- from evening aperitivos to poolside lunch to a romantic and fancy dinner at La Torre, to golf cart rides around the property, the team could don't have been friendlier or more charming

We will be back for sure and plan on staying longer and enjoying some of their specific experiences curated by the hotel. If this is your first time make sure you try the thermal spa, it is included with your stay

The staff here were second to none and they all seemed genuinely happy to be there and happy to have you. They could not have been nicer and more accommodative and take Mezzatorre to the next level

Nothing but good things to say about the pool, beach, and thermal spas, as well as the deep tissue massage offered. We had a beach front room and watched the sunset every night and it was a dream

The hotel is pretty nice, the food is very good. Being an island in the Mediterranean sea I was expecting a little better looking beach. The crowd end of June, beginning of July was mostly older folks

Wonderful place, the hotel rooms are mixed with gardens which makes the stay very relaxing! Everyone was kind and helpful, breakfast mostly sweets, definitely take half board, the dinners were extraordinary! Forio is 30mins walk

Situated over the sea, the private beach, the pools and common areas with magnificent views and the fantastic garden that surrounds the entire complex are exceptional

The laundry took 2 days and almost a third day as we got it back late the second day (and we had to pack that night), they said no mention of the extra $35 euro fee (for around 4 tee shirts, 1 pants, 1 shorts, and some underwear and socks) and than when we received our clothes back my shorts were an entire different color, we both hate complaining and dreaded doing so and when we went to inform them...

The hotel was spotless and the staff all very accommodating. The hotel is up a hill, but they run a free shuttle bus and there is also a public bus stop outside the hotel. The private jetty was a fantastic bonus

Very nice place, amazing view and staff was very helpful - especially night shift that saved me with wake up call that was not ordered (only early breakfast), but helped me to get to port on time.

I would reccomend eating down at the harbour, Forio, or other areas of the island for more of a feel for the island. The food/drinks at the hotel are a little expensive

Beautiful hotel, terrific service in an unbeatable location. Breakfast was also delicious and the sea platform was wonderful as well. You do need to take a golf cart to the pool and spa but it is not much of a hindrance

The room lead onto a beautifully planted white terrace overlooking the Mediterranean. The rumour service each day with new towels. It was a pleasure staying there. The breakfast each morning was amazing

Super tranquil, fantastic views, stylish hotel (I am referring to the main building, in which we had our room). The village Sant‘Angelo is very calm, no car traffic. And, yes, you will walk a lot in Sant‘Angelo

We had the most wonderful stay at the Miramare. The staff were all lovely and our room was beautiful - we said it was more seafront than sea view! We loved it

We could have stayed at that beach all day. On a day when we wanted to travel further afield on the island, the concierge assisted us with booking a taxi and giving some direction for our adventure

Breakfast was a delight and featured fresh balls of mozzarella, a ham and salami slicing station (!), freshly baked bread, and an impressive array of muesli, dried fruits and nuts, sweets, and homemade jams and preserves

San Montano was incredible! The views are magical, the pools were relaxing, our dinner was superb (try the lobster with linguini and the cheesecake), the pizza by the pool was great, but even better than the food was the service! Their team was welcoming, friendly and went above and beyond

My husband and I travelled to Italy for our honeymoon in October. One of the stops on our list was Naples (pizza), however we decided to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and make an island getaway to Ischia

We treated ourselves to a stay at the San Montano resort, and were truly so spoiled in the days we spent there. The first surprise was a complimentary upgrade to one of the infinity pool suites

The “natural sauna” was not super hot but was very unique and something I had never experienced. We also treated ourselves to the limontano massage package, which was heavenly

And don’t forget to check out their restaurant for dinner! Anthony’s (I believe there are 3 of them at the restaurant) will give you an amazing service and treat you like kings and queens

Nice and clean, good atmosphere. More for elder persons, swimming pools are nice and clean and so is the sauna. The food is ok, not great- Italy is known for the coffee, this one is not good

Rooms are great, outdoor pools as well, breakfast could be with more varieties. There is no scrambled egg, but you can boil yourself, that seems somehow odd to expect from four star hotel

Staff is very kind, their clients are mostly Italian and German speekimg and it clearly shows in communication

The hotel has its own beach area. There is a piano bar where a man plays between 9 - 10:30 and we were there every night enjoying the night. We had an amazing trip and look forward to coming back

The dinner was spectacular and the service was above and beyond. The pools are very refreshing. It is everything we expected and more. The spa treatments are very well priced for what you get

Had a massage in a spa which was fine. Breakfast buffet both mornings was wonderful! Huge spread of foods from savory to sweet, fresh juices, prosecco, coffee to order

They arranged a scooter for us for 35 Euros for 24 hours, suggested restaurants, booked the spa for me via phone. Welcome bottle of prosecco and sweets was very kind

We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel is very sensely located and a 5 minute taxi ride away from the port. FYI taxi to the hotel is 20 euros

The room was beautiful and spacious, well appointed with a large bathroom. The bed was not very comfortable but everything was very very clean

Little old but cozy hotel... the sea is... the view from the window is great... what else is needed.

About a 40 min walk to the Port, slightly less to the Point. €15 gets you to either place by taxi. I imagine when it's more crowded it's a great place to be, but I'd avoid it during low season next time

they have small hot bath inside the hotel. No resturant but u can go have dinner in a nearby resturant. receptionnists dont speak english which made the communication diffeicult

Breakfast was lackluster and there was a lot of noise due to renovations. Bus service was not running, though there is a stop nearby that I assume runs in peak season

The location is perfect, virtually on the beach and with excellent restaurants, lidos and bars close by. The view of the beach from our room was postcard-perfect

The local bus system is great, and a visitor to Ischia should take the bus through Fontana (worth stopping there for lunch overlooking the coast)

He shuttles us back and forth where ever we wanted to go. There is a restaurant Casereccia very close that has the best menu ever. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay

I think the hotel is the best on Maronti beach - very cool staff and services, rooms with renovation and excellent taste of furniture, not of course not very large, but enough space

In our experience, the hotel itself tries to be family friendly (turtle pond and kids lunch menu); however, the clientele are all older/elderly and as the hotel staff mentions, are very particular about having kids near them

Having free loungers on the beach and a quick €5 ferry to sant Angelo are all part of the appeal and we will definitely be back!

In our experience, the hotel is better situated for older kids (12+). Would not recommend for families with younger children - the experience with the other guests definitely took away from our time there
