Positives: *Bathrooms are TINY but clean and well appointed. *No outdoor pool as advertised, but you can use the one at their sister hotel a few steps away
We really enjoyed spending time with them — Geraldo was exceptionally helpful, offering great recommendations and helping us get the lay of the land. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back!
Miramare e Castello is in a stunning location right on the water, with truly breathtaking views! The area is perfect — close to fantastic restaurants and great shopping
The hotel bar was such a fun spot, and Bar Manager Geraldo and pianist Pepe made us feel completely at home
* 99% of the staff was VERY nice and went out of their way to help and chat
I wouldn’t say this hotel is 5 stars worthy, most likely 3, 4 on a good day. It’s overpriced for what you get. I expect a 5 star hotel for over $300/night to be almost perfect. Pros: location, friendly staff, clean

Two swimming pools- indoor and out. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. this is worth going back to again and again
An amazing stay - made so by the incredible concierge team of Raffaele and Antonio who made sure we never had to think about what to do next
A decadent resort, plush 70s Italian glamour - reminiscent of The Grand Budapest Hotel
The pool and private beach are great. The water is perfect and the scenic backdrop could not be better. The staff are very respectful and accommodating and go out of their way to ensure a pleasant day by the water
The pool side and the service around the pool and beach area 👍 Bellissimo! The best hotel I’ve ever stayed in
The beaches and layout areas are on cement piers. At first I was a little surprised, but have grown to love it and the cleanliness of the sunbathing experience

Great location, also a very good hotel, even when it was fully booked there were enough sunbeds at the pool and on the beach. The service is very good, from the reception desk over the waiters to room service
Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, with well-prepared dishes served in a calm, comfortable setting. We really enjoyed the pools, especially the indoor one: spacious and relaxing
The private beach is small but pleasant. The staff across the hotel were consistently professional, and every time we made a request at the front desk, there was clear follow-up
We went ať the end of Oktober and sea was still ok for a swim
Two little drawbacks: the main pool needs a bit repair work and cleaning, the breakfast buffet could vary a bit more
Wonderful place, the hotel rooms are mixed with gardens which makes the stay very relaxing! Everyone was kind and helpful, breakfast mostly sweets, definitely take half board, the dinners were extraordinary! Forio is 30mins walk

The outdoor pool is really beautiful, with a very welcoming bar area, and is a pleasant place to relax during hot days if you choose not to go to the beach
However, tables were not cleared or set, and you often had to search for cutlery etc. The hotel itself was clean, as was the pool area. the spa facilities were lovely and relaxing
The best staff, best thermal water, best service (van service to the city center and beaches), and a good location near the center.
There was a great pool bar with the most friendly lady serving drinks/coffes/food. The garden was lovely and well kept. In front of the hotel was another large garden and bar area for the evening
This worked for me but I witnessed other foreigners struggling with the lack of foreign languages being actively used. The towel for the pool had to be paid for (€5) which I found unusual
I have the best experience! In my opinion this hotel deserves 5 stars! Food , people and service very elegant !Very nice people and excellent service ! Right now I’m here but I’m thinking to come and recommend my friends in US ! Last night I hurt my feet in Capri , and i can’t walk ok so the driver put for me some steps to get easy at the van so I don’t know his name but he is so awesome! I’m enjoying...

This magnificent hotel is on a cliffhanger where you get breathtaking views over the sea having access directly into the sea just just stepping off and on a ladder and a choice of two pools very individual to one another
Hotel is beautiful, its facing the sea , rooms are really clean, drinks are great and selection is good, the one thing that truly makes this hotel is the service, truly remarkable and of you have been to italy before its sometimes good or terribly bad! HERE ITS AMAZING, 5 star all the way Linda sei una grande! truly made our trip incredible! Grazie and we will be back!
The staff were all very friendly and professional. We really enjoyed breakfast it was delicious and again breakfast with a sea view is just a great start to the day We had a beautiful room and were very comfortable
It really exceeded my expectations. On arrival I was blown away by just how beautiful this hotel is and the grounds and views. It is immaculate and very well kept. So relaxed, clean, the views of the sea are lovely
Our friends who had the next level of pricing they had it and they also got free water daily, i didn’t and i was not having the cheapest room as it was a sea view room
Also the sea view i paid for was let’s say almost there if we take in consideration that was a bit visible through the trees

The pools are amazing they all vary in temperatures. You must wear a swim cap to get inside the pools. Pools are open daily from 9am to 7pm. Something worth mentioning is the uphill walks
Great beaches are at walking distance, closest one is small Cava Gardo, down from the bus station - but it is brilliant beach, calm and crystal water
I loved the place! It’s really romantic if you feel comfortable with older people around. Great thermals, food & staff!
We were able to bring our dog with us pretty much everywhere. Even when we were laying out by the pools. You also get assigned pool chairs for the duration of your stay so you will always have your chair and an umbrella
Wonderful Spa and food was fantastic.
The rooms were a little outdated, for example the curtains and bedspread, but nothing essential. Our bathroom door would not open all the way because of the sink, but you could close the door, not too much of a big deal

Without a doubt, the Hotel San Giovanni in Ischia is an oasis of welcome and comfort. Its strategic location makes it perfect for exploring the island, while its welcoming atmosphere makes you immediately feel at home
The thermal pool is very enjoyable, the rooms are spacious and have a small terrace; moreover, despite being very close to the main street, it enjoys tranquility
The cleaning staff in the morning is very noisy but impeccable in the hygiene of the rooms. At the reception they have always been very kind and ready to satisfy every request
Nicola, the night porter, always welcomes you with a warm smile and does everything to make your stay unforgettable. The masseuse is really talented and pampers you with regenerating and relaxing treatments
The combination of warm welcome, impeccable cleanliness, strategic location and exceptional staff makes it an unbeatable option for anyone visiting the island
all fantastic and super competent people. I highly recommend the hotel also for the location and for the food (rich buffet of appetizers and abundant dishes)

amazing hotel where thermal swimming pool is very with panoramic view, the beach next to the hotel with two best restaurant in Ischia. pretty clean hotel and pleasant italian atmospher.
Great hotel near the sea with 2 of the two pools. Very nice staff. Nice room with a large terrace overlooking the sea and pool. Delicious breakfasts. The hotel is in the center near the port.
Hotel pools were full of mold and hard water build up, water was cloudy. No towels for pool or spa, bring your own. Long walk to their beach area
Nice and clean, good atmosphere. More for elder persons, swimming pools are nice and clean and so is the sauna. The food is ok, not great- Italy is known for the coffee, this one is not good
Rooms are great, outdoor pools as well, breakfast could be with more varieties. There is no scrambled egg, but you can boil yourself, that seems somehow odd to expect from four star hotel
Very close to the beach, very nice view

This hotel is right on the water and the sister hotel provides a private beach. You can’t get a better location. When you get to the beach you can go inside to the bar and order drinks and snacks
Friendly staff, lovely view (if you can face the ocean), and good breakfast buffet
The best hotel on the island with great staff, clean rooms, good AC, plenty of pools (includes thermal spa pool) and its own beach. 7 minutes by taxi from the port (ferries to Naples each 15 min)
Our third time staying here and we are always pleased. The staff are wonderful and the rooms perfect. There are plenty of facilities to use, including a thermal pool, day spa and private beach
They quickly got to know us and would have our room key just as we returned to the hotel each day, without having to recite our room number. Our room had a huge outdoor patio overlooking the sea, with chairs and a sunbed
So that brings another point in investing to fumigate the place. Housekeeping Nidia and Mimma were great to spray but it isn’t enough. Also no place to dry clothes when using beach or pool

The hotel waiting staff were good. If people are on holiday it may be an idea to give them until 10.30am not clearing around them just before 10.am. The reception staff were so helpful and very Polite.

And the beach/sea access was perfect and well maintained. Would highly recommend this relaxing atmosphere with wonderful views
Great staff at the SPA headed by Mrs Maria. Dr William Esposito and his treatments are worth a stay per se, as well as Mrs Antonietta who will always cheer everybody up. Excellent beach and pool services
The staff were more than excellent. The room and the sea view/castle view were excellent. The breakfast was unbelievably excellent with so many food/drink options
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the thermal pool, the swimming pool and their private beach. Maid service was excellent and hotel provided all the bathroom amenities for a convenient stay.
Pool loungers were busy/full at times but the hotel has a private beach area which also has loungers
What annoyed us however was Their pools were very very dirty and full on algae which was disappointing as that’s why we came to stay and wanted to sit in the once we were done at the beach

The are several pools to choose from located throughout the resort and we found ourselves rotating between these daily. We were served drinks poolside from the staff who were extremely polite and professional
Our room had a fantastic sea view and was immaculate, cleaned daily to a very high standard we had all of the amenities we required for our time at the resort
We were provided with evening entertainment poolside on a couple of evenings which really created a fantastic atmosphere and authentic experience
The beach? Definitely no problem there as a private shuttle is provided by the hotel
The food we had was served from the Il Tufo restaurant which itself requires it's own review. The beef was cooked to absolute perfection, tender and melted in the mouth, swordfish pasta, incredible
The daily menu is displayed at the restaurant entrance and there are several options for each course, the portions are extremely generous and the staff ensured we did not go hungry during our stay

Beautiful island with beautiful nature. Nice hotel in South Ischia with termal pools and health centre. There are lots of flowers in the garden even in autumn
Overall we enjoyed the stay, music on the weekend evenings, very l clean, nice size pool, very helpful staff especially the front desk AM team
Good place. Good beach. Close to Forio. Reasonable access to Capri, Pompei, ...Close to Poseidon Gardens and natural thermal fountain near Sorgente.
I’ve been told it is a destination for seasoned individuals
We have had wonderful vacations at this beautiful hotel! Perfect spot to relax, and the best view on the Island to watch the sunset from the balcony. Wonderful staff, delicious food, the best people
For me one of the best hotels on ischia. Nice people, quite and huge area and the service was great! We felt really welcome and if we come back again, definitely to this hotel :-)

Beautiful hotel, terrific service in an unbeatable location. Breakfast was also delicious and the sea platform was wonderful as well. You do need to take a golf cart to the pool and spa but it is not much of a hindrance
We had the most wonderful stay at the Miramare. The staff were all lovely and our room was beautiful - we said it was more seafront than sea view! We loved it
Very happy with the hotel, staff, great rooms with great sea views! Good cuisine, although by the end of the holiday monotonous breakfasts became boring, I would like to wish the hotel to revise the menu and make it more varied
Simply the best hotel I have ever stayed in! The room was a stunning suite with a sea-view with 2 separate outdoor areas
The buggy service to the nearby thermal park and pools was a great value add
Super tranquil, fantastic views, stylish hotel (I am referring to the main building, in which we had our room). The village Sant‘Angelo is very calm, no car traffic. And, yes, you will walk a lot in Sant‘Angelo

Could be excellent hotel as perfect position and has style but poor management makes it average. No internet in bedroom Lovely sea and wide views from superior room. Filthy shower next to thermal pool
Great outside pool area with warm water (in May when sea temperatures resembled iceberg) Tip: if booking out of season do so directly with the hotel (found amazing deal around £70 cheaper than via comparison website for a 3-day stay)
Reported but again management ignored. Lovely pool area but recliners not perfectly cleaned - end of season grubby look. Staff at pool were every kind. No soap in pool toilet and urine smell
Very nice hotel, amazing staff; Hotel itself requires some TLC especially around the inside pool and steam room; that being said it is immaculately clean, with friendly, English-speaking staff
The location is excellent, 10 minutes feom the beach and 2 minutes from the main/shopping streat. The receptionist was kind and helped us. We asked for an iron and it wasn’t available for 2 days
They seem more interested in filling up the water jugs than in helping clients. Orange juice was some weird cheap flavoured water. Had lunch around pool and that was excellent so breakfast could easily be improved

Only got back yesterday and already it seems like a dream! (Oh and it also has a small private beach and sunloungers overlooking the sea)
Wonderful place, - impossible not to resort to cliches! Great views, with room looking out over the sea, and sound of waves to lull you to sleep and to wake up with
Sea water pool and several thermal pools of different temperatures, all with a sea view. Also natural sauna! Tranquil, friendly atmosphere
Clean well serviced rooms. Only draw back no balcony. Very helpful staff. Beautiful pool, which is a rarety in resort
Lovely hotel for a relaxing vacation, clean sea, a few thermal pools with water temperature ot18 to 42 degrees, clean rooms, polite staff, varied menu in the restaurant. The holiday was a success!
Staff are friendly and service is very good. The hotel offers a great sea view. The nearest village/ town, San Angelo is a 10 -15 minute walk away where there are numerous restaurants and pizzeria's

The owner even managed to get us boat tickets to Capri when all the tours were sold out. The food is absolutely amazing, especially the Sunday celebration night under the stars with an abundance of seafood
We had a half-board stay and the 3-course seated dinners along with the veggie buffet ( grilled veggies stacked in olive oil - yum) were always delicious
I’ll be dreaming of their terrace with its stunning sea views for many rainy cold months to come and the relaxing hot thermal baths were what I needed for my skin and muscles
Hotel well located the for local town with a frequent shuttle bus, the bus would also take you to the main local beach (adjacent to Poseidin Gardens)
Well maintained, fantastic pool. Let's itself down a little as no evening entertainment, food repetitive and all cleared away by 9pm. Feels a little like an upmarket retirement village.
The chefs here are very skilled, this place should be a restaurant on its own. You have pool, beautiful and well equipped rooms, spa and termal pools. Beach is also close, about 80 stairs down the island

Owned and run by the De Siano family since 2009, the resort reflects generations of dedication to warm, southern Italian hospitality
Returning after 9 yrs and seeing the magic has not left. The resort ,most known for its bevy of pools , keeps it up
From the moment we arrived at San Montano Resort & Spa, we knew we were somewhere special and were very excited to explore
Perched high above Lacco Ameno on Monte Vico, the resort offers one of the most spectacular views on the island – sweeping across the Bay of Naples, with Mount Vesuvius on the horizon
Incredible service, beautiful rooms and wonderful outdoor areas. So many fabulous pools, great poolside restaurant and bar and the view is simply the best. Many thanks to Marco who was always so helpful and kind

Nothing too much trouble and very peaceful and calming stay Breakfast is as good as you’ll get anywhere with plenty of selection Previous reviews have mentioned the meals are a bit expensive, well they’re not cheap but this is a 5 star hotel so to be expected and the food ambiance and attention are excellent
I found the hotels bathing deck just a short walk from the hotel to be a bit cooler with sunbeds always available. There is a bar serving food here as well as the pool bar
Spacious rooms, amazing thermal heated pools, piano player every night, the FRIENDLIEST staff (especially Carmen & Giuseppe). All the accommodations you could hope for - Pool, beach, spa, restaurant and more
There was a nice large wardrobe in the entry area with a safe, and a good sized bathroom. The hotel grounds are beautiful and well kept, with a large pool with no issues with getting a sunbed at any time
Exquisite hotel with beautiful grounds and private beachfront. We had an amazing and relaxing time. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is beautiful
