Do yourself a favour and stay away! We came to stay for two nights. The hotel claims to be a 4-star family hotel with 11 rooms, but we immediately realized that its standard is suitable for a 2-star hotel. It has no lobby, no reception office, just a tiny desk. We arrived at eight in the evening, tired, to an unpleasant reception from the clerk. The room we received had a bad smell, as if it had not been used for a long time. It was a neglected room with the most basic and old furniture. The bath towels were also old. We asked the reception for a stand to put our suitcase on, and the clerk replied that she did not know of anything like that, which is not appropriate for a hotel with such a rating. In addition, in the morning, we saw a row of ants moving around in our room. We asked the owner of the hotel to leave after one night. Of course, he did not agree, and his attitude was disgraceful. He behaved rudely towards us. This is a room that cost us €390 per night, and it's frustrating and infuriating to pay for a deluxe hotel and get a 2-star standard and disgraceful treatment. We really do not recommend staying at this hotel; it is bad in every way.

My wife and I arrived late from a long and hauling road trip. The beautiful room was equipped with all that one could dream of after a long day (i.e. bathtub, air conditioning of course, a shining view of the lago Maggiore and a comfortable bed).
The breakfast was equipped with ample options for all types of taste (Ciabatta, Croissants, (sourdough) bread, scrambled eggs, delicious bacon, fruits, yogurt….).
The location was it’s selling point, but the experience in its totality (pastries, Italian ham, cheeses, the view to wake up to…) won us over.

Zero stars would be the correct rating for this hotel.
The owners are arrogant, rude and annoying people.
Rooms are standard and don’t worth the price we paid, also from the Michelin star restaurant, I was expecting something better.
Balconies are poorly maintained and the stinky smell from the lake is unbreathable.
The only positive note in the cleanliness of the rooms certainly managed by an external company.

Stayed here for one night in August on a road trip from Switzerland to Italy with my partner. Booked the room last minute and arrived around 9pm after driving most of the day. We asked if we could eat at the restaurant and we’re seated but told we couldn’t sit in any of the empty waterside tables as they were for set menu customers only (despite no one showing up to sit in them during the time we were there). View and setting of the hotel are lovely but we found the owner rude and unfriendly, particularly when we wanted to swim in the lake the following day and decided to swim from the jetty. We had also chosen the hotel because of the “spa” and the steam room and sauna were not even on when we visited. When trying to buy glasses of Prosecco to take to the spa we were ignored whilst literally standing trying to pay for quite some time. I left an honest review on trip adviser and received a pretty awful message back also from the owner. The place is a little old but great views and so much potential but I would never come back or recommend because of the host attitude

Cocktails are ok, but a bit overpriced. You don’t even get any snack with the drink as it is usual around the lake.

Funny hotel with 4 levels stuck to the rocks and directly to the lake. Michelin 1 star restaurant and a Pizzeria upstairs. The street to the village a catastrophy and the owner not so friendly. But his wife and staff excellent.

4.5 stars! LOVED the room and balcony. Great location away from the business but still walkable to the center of Laveno. Room was clean and spacious. Mini fridge included. Service was helpful and friendly. Only complaints would be that sometimes the water temperature in the shower did not regulate very well (warm, hot, cold) and the AC did not go down further than 24 C or so...
But otherwise, would highly recommend!

This is a fantastic hotel attached to a superb restaurant. The rooms are, newly-refurbished, spacious and comfortable, they include a good sized balcony with a very impressive view over the lake. The staff are helpful and speak good English (my Italian is woeful) - they arranged a lot on our behalf, including a tour of the lake.
The restaurant has its own pontoon to and from which we caught a water taxi - a lovely way to travel. Laveno itself is a charming, small town and about a 5 minute walk (roadside).
I will review the restaurants separately but they were (as mentioned above) *superb*.
It was a wonderful, romantic weekend and we will definitely be back.

Nice location and staff. Bit pricy for what you get. Wobbly wifi. And if the toilet is flushed while shower is running, the shower turns boiling hot!! Be carefull.
