We loved it. If you appreciate the charm of old places, the authenticity of a hotel that has been there for a long time, you will marvel at its unique views, warm staff, great location and great facilities.

We‘ve been here in May/June and it was absolutely fantastic. The view from the room, the view from the garden/pool, the food in the restaurant, overall location… 10/10! Thanks for the great stay! (Bonus points: they‘re dog friendly)

Here the location is everything, absolutely incredible. Beautiful views across the lake. However......no air conditioning in the rooms, no kettle to make tea or coffee, just average food, and a very expensive bar. The internet service is fast but there are very few receptacles in the room (just 2). The grounds are expansive, facing the lake and include a tennis court.

A regular over the last twenty years, I feel that Hotel Grand Majestic is currently better than ever. Excellent service, classy without being too formal, wonderful food, amazing rooms, superbly located right on the lake which is super rare, a very nice tennis court for daily games and a perfect home base for trips in the area. Nice old hotel. Grand feeling. The staff is great. The food was okay, nothing bad but nothing special. Clean and well maintained. Downside Wifi was really slow in our room, and the light at our balcony made it impossible to sit outside during the night because of the mosquitos.

It is a very charming hotel in a beautiful area by the lake of Maggiore. Unfortunately, the downside is that the rooms need be renovated a bit, and the reception staff could be unfriendly at times. They just do need a smile!

We arrived at the Cloister Hotel on a very hot summer day. And no one at reception even looked at us or greeted us until we made a point of saying we needed to check in. When we eventually got our keys, we found our way to the room, which was down a musty smelling hall, through an old lounge area. The room was awful - it smelled like must and cleaning supplies, the airconditioner was leaking a terrible...

An extraordinary place in a comfortable and calm atmosphere to stay in Verbania inter. Enjoyed my week staying over there. Mangers and every personal so attentive to make every day a pleasant experience. I'll recommend this hotel to friends and ready to renew my experience sooner.

Super nice location inside an ancient palace. There is also a nice bar inside the Chiostro. Very simple but in a wonderful location and very clean. The best value for money in Verbania.

Very few parking in front, free parking around but not secured of course. Staff were friendly, breakfast good for one night

An amazing place for a quiet stay. They have a bar and a great restaurant. High level of service while the prices are cheap. It's my third time here and I m planning to come back soon.

The hotel is absolutely stunning. The room was nice, just like the bathroom. The staff was nice and friendly, you just have to follow their instructions with breakfast and everything will be fine. Breakfast was very delicious. Would definitely come back here!!

Nice hotel in a superb location over looking Lake Maggiore. We had a 3rd floor large lake view room with double balcony and the view was stunning!!

My girlfriend and I stayed in Hotel Pallanza for 4 nights in May. We went there to relax. What we liked: + The overall level of cleanliness is very high + Staff is polite and friendly + The view from our room was beautiful and the location is perfect for day trips or strolling around + The private outside parking space is fenced and free of charge What we disliked: - The room smelled a little funny...

Beautiful hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. The lake view is amazing...but with that you get all the street noise (they are doing construction at the front so it's always noisy at the moment)...you can hear the cars, peoples conversations below, there is a bar with loud music as well. The walls are thin so you can also hear noises from the neighbours. Unfortunately we had a particularly "active" couple...

Comfortable rooms, great lake view. Just a few steps to Pallanza center and pier. Staff is extremely friendly and professional. They spoke English, Italian, German and French. Ask them for any kind of recommendation, you will get it. Excellent breakfast service ask for extras, no sweat! No restaurant but you find nearby a lot of good ones. Quiet place cause the bypassed lake shore road is traffic-calmed...

Perfect location, I received a video with explicit instructions on how to access the hotel and the response from the staff was prompt. There was complimentary drinking water, which I find very important, as you never know at what time you will arrive; water is always needed! The room had also a lazy boy chair with massage!!!

Great location, clean rooms with beautiful views of the lake, perfectly insulated windows (can't hear the street) and a rich and excellent breakfast buffet! The staff was very friendly and helpful! Great holiday, we will come again, can only recommend..

Very central position, wonderful view of the lake. The staff is very kind and helpful. Particularly comfortable bed! Good breakfast (let us know in advance if you have celiac disease to find suitable items). They welcome small dogs upon request. We will definitely be back

What a charming place! The staff is very friendly and very helpful. They found us a reservation for dinner the first night. Breakfast is good and Tanya was very friendly and very attentive. They also had a high chair for our child. Thank you for a good holiday!

We were sorry we only stayed one night, would have been nicer to stay longer. But our road trip was already planned... in my opinion the booking.com pics could be retaken, the room looked much much better The hotel has AC and they waited for us with a cool room, it was a relief due to the 35+ temp outside, the receptionists are professional, the lake view was inspiring, on Friday nights the street...

A lovely hotel overlooking the lake, with spacious, air-conditioned room and big bathroom with a terrific shower. The breakfast was outstanding, with a huge choice and gorgeous fresh food. The hotel is across the road from the ferry terminal so it was easy to just hop on a boat to different places. The Borromean Islands take your breath away. The staff here are the best; nothing is too much trouble...

Great location, friendly staff (spoke both German and English) and spacious rooms. If you are lucky you can find a free parking spot right next to the water close to the hotel. But the also offer free parking services.

The Hotel Europalace is a bit of a gem on Lago Maggiore. It is like taking a step back in time with the dated interiors and furnishings. While dated the place is extremely clean and well maintained. I felt like I was in a movie set and enjoyed my stay very much. I would definitely recommend a Lakeview room which is stunning and makes for a beautiful experience for your stay. Good ROI for 3 star hotel, but much better with view on the lake. Our room was enormous snd comfortable. Breakfast lakeside was perfect. Well worth the low cost. The hair dryers are pointless and have no power, but to be expected at this price point.

For the money the room was large and the breakfast had an amazing choice. Great location by the lake and some good restaurants near by. Not having a shower curtain on the shower was a challenge.

This was our second visit. The first was eight years ago. This hotel has a relaxing atmosphere and very friendly staff. The rooms were huge and the view from the fourth floor of the lake was amazing. We would definitely stay again.

It is a great option for a hotel near the lake. It is quite clean, but not perfectly clean inside. There should be made some improvements in there, but I appreciate that the bed sheets and towels were clean like new, in general the rooms are clean, but I think some details are left behind (I found little spider webs in the room, some rust in the shower, some pieces of furniture are a little deteriorated...

Hotel is very central, great location to explore old town and lake side. Staff very friendly. Our room was very spacious, has everything needed. Decor is somewhat outdated but rooms offer all that is needed. Comfy bed, desk, tiny tv but it’s there. All clean, kept to a good standard

Rooms were clean and big. Staff were all very friendly and nice. Breakfast was ok. Location is very good, close to many bars and restaurants. However AC did not work most of the time. Also it's not really an "AC". Moreover "lake view" is a view of the old boat station which limits the lake view. The wifi in our room didn't work.

Nice pleasant room, nothing special. Very clean, nice staff. Bed wasn't exceptionally comfortable, and shower was quite small. The staff lended us a converted from Italian to Swiss sockets. The breakfast buffet had many options, both salty and sweet, and even had scrambled eggs.

Small scale hotel. Located in the center of Verbania. Spacious, somewhat outdated rooms. Breakfast with croissant, cake and cereal. All in all a nice hotel for the price.

Very clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely! The air con worked really well considering it was a hot day and the room was quiet as well. Perfect location for exploring the Borromean Islands too.

My wife and I have been vacationing at the Novara hotel for four years. They make us feel at home, the room and cleanliness are impeccable, the staff is exceptional and the restaurant is top notch. Good lunch here...but the usual rip off for wayer from unsealed bottles and 5 euros for a few bits of bread. Sad it spoilt how I felt about my lunch.

Nice hotel located directly on the lake with a small beach. Private beach with sun beds and umbrellas. Rooms are clean and the interior is well maintained. Restaurant below the Hotel looks modern and clean. Food was super. Owner and staff are very nice and very helpful.

Restaurant of Beata Giovannina is on a beautiful location, just next to the lake! You can enjoy beautiful view, while tasting traditional italian cuisine! Very good on pasta with fish and don't miss to eat apple pie with ice cream!

Chef Adolfo Porta will take you on a journey of fine dining using products in line with Lake Maggiore culture. The ingredients are of high quality and the portions are perfect. We stayed at Chi Ghinn in August and could not recommend it more. We were greeted by the owner, Adolfo, who kindly carried our bags to our room. Everything was immaculate and the view spectacular. Dinner, cooked by Adolfo, was excellent, with the same fabulous view and charming staff. Breakfast was also delicious - everything home made and beautifully presented, again. We will be back!

What a pleasure to stay at Chi Ghinn: it is a unique experience we will not forget. It is a charming place with great views on the lake, very refined and delicious meals. Breakfast is just perfect and has homemade breads, jams, yogurt, and freshly squeezed juice… The staff is very welcoming and happy to help. We highly recommend.

Hotel in an old villa with 10 rooms run by a married couple. Our room was simply furnished, in the bathroom everything was available that you need. Good location about 200 meters from the promenade, in a few minutes you are in the center with narrow streets and many shops. Free parking in front of the house. Breakfast as a buffet with very good juice made from blood oranges and sparkling wine.
