Wonderful, quaint, warm and very friendly staff make this hotel a must-stay. Nestled in the woods above a river, it is a peaceful and beautiful spot just a couple miles above the shore of Lake Como. Restaurant is excellent and lots of parking. Be prepared for a tricky turn down into the hotel parking lot, but once you do it, it's totally easy.Highly recommend it!!!

An absolute beauty of a place to stay. The views are incredible. As was the food! Lovely and welcoming staff. Superb location, a few minutes walk from the train station and the ferry landing station making it an ideal base for visiting other parts of the lake. The short version: The atmosphere, the food, the drink, and the staff at Mama Ciccio's are all amazing 5/5 undoubtedly. BUT, the beds are real cheap. The mattresses are thin and quite firm, and some of the frames lack support and dip in the center. Incredible food, best I've had in Italy thus far & I'm at the END of my trip! The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's not on the water, but I would say a better experience by far. Take your time to enjoy the atmosphere in the water until sunset, then tantalize your taste buds with the food and wine here. You MUST see the wine cellar, enjoy a tasting & endulge on the recs.

Amazing pizza ! Though service is pretty low and needs improvement... We had to wait to place the order and get the drinks for really long time. Drinks were served only after the pizzas arrived. This is my favorite place we have ever stayed! I cannot say enough good things about Hotel Belvedere! Very friendly service. Reception with drink and appetizer. There was no oil or spices in the apartment which one would expect as standard. There was no air conditioning but a standing fan. Center is 25 min. walk away. Unfortunately, the path is almost continuously directly on the winding, confusing main road without a pedestrian path.

Hotel Excelsior Splendide is in a perfect spot for travel to LAKE COMO , centrally located with steps to the many ferries that stop there daily. Within 1000 feet are 4 ports for everything from car boats to fast boats and water taxis. Bellagio is very hilly with steps that seem to go on forever. We stayed in Albergo Giardinetto (Bellagio) for one night after our hike from Como to Bellagio. Laura and her father were wonderful hosts. We especially loved our room with the small balcony and the stunning view of Lake Como. Everyone who is looking for a laid back and authentic place to stay goes for Albergo Giardinetto!

The location is best in Bellagio. Our bedroom was overlooking the lake with absolutely uninterrupted views. Rooms were clean and everything of convenience was available 😃! A staff at the hotel even accommodated a request for coffee at 5:30am in the morning.

A beautiful and peaceful domain with friendly and helpful staff. We were helped multiple times by Giovanna and Stefano from the reception desk who were very kind. Varenna is a 16 minutes walk from the Agriturismo but the walk from Varenna is quite steep (goes up 120 meters,). The appartments are nicely furnished with all the necessary kitchen ustensiles and the views from the domain are incredible

Fantastic stay at this quiet Agriturismo. Right next door to Venzo and a leisurely walk down to Varenna. We stayed at Casa Donato, a great house, 2 stories with alot of room. Beautiful views from the ground as well. Would highly recommend.

Tiny , tiny rooms with equally small bathrooms. Showers so small that average sized people will have difficulty. The views make up for a lot , the balcony and deck to the rooms do add a needed feeling of space . A premier balcony room is probably the only comfortable option, I wouldn't want to see the basic rooms .

This hotel would have for sure gotten 5 stars had i not got food poisoning from one of the on-site restaurants. We had a really nice stay here. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and allowed us to drop off our luggage early. I can’t imagine a better stay and in the best village on Lake Como. We stayed in the third floor of Casa Rossa. The online pictures don’t due justice how close you are to the water. The bed was not as soft as hotels in the States, but it didn’t affect our sleep — since we were tired from walking. This hotel is located in such a pretty area on the lake, there’s a long stretch that takes you to a few restaurants and a beautiful park. Our stay widely exceeded the expectations. The staff was amazing also for suggesting a taxi to reach the hotel. Rooms very clean and comfortable, with a unique view on the lake. Same for the breakfast and the pool. Highly suggested.

First, the hotel is perfectly located. Could see the lake from our room and the ferry being across the street is a big bonus! I’m glad we opted to stay in Lenno over the other “popular” towns. This hotel is clean, beautiful, HAS AC, and the breakfast was great! Would happily stay again and highly recommend!

We only ate lunch here, but the service was great. Later that day, on our way back to the ferry, we needed to use a restroom and the hotel staff were very welcoming. I’d definitely eat here again if we ever come back.

I stayed for 4 nights in this beautiful hotel. All the staff have been truly friendly. The room and the food were excellent, plus everywhere was clean. The hotel can be reached by bus or boat directly outside and is in walking distance of an iconic movie location.
