I visited only the restaurant and the terrace. But since the first moment the hostess made us feel welcome. The attention was nice and friendly, we ordered drinks meanwhile we waited for the table and they gave us complementary snacks too.
The view of the restaurant is so nice, everything fit perfectly… the ambiente, the music, the good service of the staff. The food was very delicious to complement the perfect scene. We had an excellent time.

Amazing hotel, views are amazing. The pool was beautiful and the Visteria Restaurant was beautiful (would Highly recommend) I actually proposed to my partner on this trip. The hotel can provide all type of arrangement's for proposals anniversaries etc. the concierge team, Marco and Dalia made this day amazing and it couldn't have gone any better. Starting the evening with a private boat tour, dinner, champagne, flowers in the room. of course the experience varying on the package type. They planned and organised it all, and honestly such great customer service

Great hotel in Varenna Italy! My fiancé and family stayed here and the staff was amazing. Brought in all of our bags, attentive with drinks and room service. The staff was truly amazing and helped made our visit memorable! Daniel was super nice and really mad our experience special.
Rooms were big and had beautiful views of the lake. The balconies were amazing. Great pool area as well and private trail to swim in the lake. They also have a private boat dock. Highly recommend!

Amazing place to stay! Staff were lovely
Food at the breakfast was wonderful. And the view! Wow! I'm so glad we chose to stay here it made our trip of a lifetime something we will never forget. It was also great to be able to escape the business of the town especially in the heat and the pool was most appreciated! Loved it. No regrets staying here

This hotel probably had the best view of any hotel we stayed at in Italy, we slept with the window open most nights as it was so relaxing, but also quite hot in the room without it being open. The bar downstairs is pretty amazing and modern compared to the rest of the hotel with a large seating area with panoramic views of the lake. I’d say the one drawback, and this goes for all of Varenna, is that the entire town was overrun by influencers it felt like, I’d definitely recommend taking the train 5 minutes north to Bellano to get a more authentic feel.

The concierge will not be of great help due to poor relationships with local restaurants. They are unable to book reservations at certain popular local restaurants. They will tell you it is due to no-shows, but this is not the case. At one of the restaurants we stayed at, the hostess informed us that the seat that the concierge had us booked had no good view of the lake. He said the concierge knew this was the case and was supposed to inform us when we asked the concierge to book. The concierge, of course, did not notify us of this case, so we are now 15 minutes out of town by car and stuck with our dinner with a view without a view. The hostess personally apologized and said he had kept this table open for the hotel, but only under the condition the concierge informed us it wasn’t a great view. He said this is the last straw and will no longer work with the hotel for booking. He then told us to complain when we returned. I did not want to be in the middle of this restaurant vs. hotel feud, so I made no comment at this time, and instead, I was going to wait until check out.
The following day, we had another negative experience with the staff that was handled incredibly poorly. Due to a miscommunication over the photoshoot rules, I was informed that I had to pay a fee. While I was mistaken initially, this wasn’t the problem. Although I initially thought I cleared this with the hotel, the manager kept asking if “I was sure I spoke to the reception.” this wording only left me feeling like I was being called a liar. They would not release me for the rest of the photoshoot despite my informing them I was staying the night and we could resolve this minor discrepancy in the evening. They took up valuable time during this photoshoot without giving me any resolution at the immediate moment, so why was I held up for the problem not to get resolved?
This minor misunderstanding over the photoshoot may be partially my fault for not being fully informed. But I tried to be correct, and my only reward was rude, condescending service. They kept telling me they were doing me a favor by reducing the fee cost despite me trying to tell them over and over the fee is not why I’m mad. I’m mad about how I’m being treated.

The inablity for the hotel to book reservations at certain restaurants in Varrena will lead to stressful experiences not in line with the expected experience of a low stress stay in a villa. For 500 Euros you would expect of more. Our room, 128, felt like you were in a closet with the window looking into another closet.
Don't be sure you're getting a great view... We expected one for the price.

Tiny , tiny rooms with equally small bathrooms. Showers so small that average sized people will have difficulty.
The views make up for a lot , the balcony and deck to the rooms do add a needed feeling of space . A premier balcony room is probably the only comfortable option, I wouldn't want to see the basic rooms .

We stayed here for a night and it was a huge mistake! Should have stayed at least two nights in this lovely hotel. All the staff were so helpful and friendly and they keep on asking if we needed anything. Will definitely stay in this hotel again if ever we’ll get the chance to be back in lake como.

Poor service and an overpriced hotel - sad too as it’s location is excellent. Staff superiority and intimidating attitude let’s it down. We were reluctant to order anything as staff made you feel you were annoying them by ordering. Best avoid and spend your money at a hotel that appreciates it.
