Hotel Ariston in Mestre

Where to start ? Dirty rooms, worn out furniture, everything outdated. The first room we booked was like an oven with no ac working(beginningof june and top floor room), after speaking with the receptionist we were assured that it was working and we have to play around with the settings. We did try again and went out for a walk, came back nothing changed. Eventually the receptionist did come up to check and he was "surprised " to find out the room was that hot. Anyway the good thing i can say is that we were promptly moved to another room on a lower floor. At least there was some AC working, but the room was in the same state - dirty, worn out and with shady bed sheets and mattresses. Few positive things are semi secured parking, location close to venice and lowish price. Definitely doubt it deserves 3 stars.

I had booked this hotel for one night for my husband’s birthday but sadly last minute he was hospitalised, we could not travel in the end. I had asked for a refund or even partial refund but they refused my request.

The facilities are old and simple, and the service attitude is poor. For example, there are not enough bath towels in the room. When you go to the service desk to get them, they ask for 2 euros and usually ignore you. If the room is not good and you want to change it, it is harder than climbing to the sky, and they just won't change it (even if there is a vacant room). The table in the room is broken and they didn't repair it for 4 days. It is too bad and the room is small. Don't stay here.

You enter into a lovely foer and are welcomed by lovely service. Then you enter your room with two single beds pushed together, one a camp bed (?) With uncomfortable mattresses laid atop. The shower doesn't drain properly, the breakfast is average. Only plus is they have boiled eggs. They dont provide a kettle in the rooms nor do they let you use there microwave. Is in a good location if you don't walk 40min in the wrong direction 😅

** Awful ! **. We booked 5 rooms for 3 families for 1 night through the booking site, the lobby of the hotel looked good, but when we entered the rooms, we noticed the high humidity in the room, 2 rooms smelled strongly of mold and the ceiling of one of the rooms was moldy and it was not possible to breathe. After we protested, they told us that we will not refund the money and we will only change 2 of the rooms for you. However, the new rooms were as awful as others. We had to use only 4 rooms, but we were charged for 5 rooms. The bathroom faucet was constantly dripping, the windows had no soundproofing at all, the sound of passing cars on the street was clearly audible. The toilet was loose and apparently broken. The carpet in the corridors was dirty and old. I do not recommend it at all.
