Hello, we had a great night by getting upgrade on the apartment with the view on the beach. The bad thing was communication, after 5 calls we finally got the personal at the front desk, and talked really fast to allow us letting the keys in the apartment for the check out. They should mention that there is no parking possibiliy at the Hotel, at least 5 to 10min by foot and it‘s not even allowed to unload in front of the Hotel.

Very nice hotel.. cozy/modern.. right in the middle of it all. It has a parking lot, that is convenient, still you need to walk 1 km to get to the hotel.. the breakfast was amazing, with the local market going on that day.. perfect italian setting.

This is a nice property that is perfectly situated in Orta San Giulio. They have parking that easy to access and the rooms were nice and very clean. We ate dinner the restaurant there and if we had to do again we would have gotten something in town. Not that it's bad, the service is good however it's a bit pricey for what you get. Overall this is a solid choice that we would be happy to return to.

Lovely little hotel in a lovely town. Reception went above and beyond to help us print out a boarding pass. Terrific view of Lake Orta from the balcony. The only things that weren’t amazing: no air conditioner (and it was 34 degrees!) and no hand soap provided.

I didn't stay at this hotel however I did dine at their restaurant and my husband also got a few drinks at their bar after our meal. They provide excellent service during dinner here. All of the staff are super attentive and caring. The food is also amazing. My spouse highly recommends the veal and I highly recommended the carbonarra pasta! The best part of all...the view! Location is good. Aircond is not working well . The bathtub shower hardware is too old , not perfoming well and can NOT switch between shower and tap . Bathroom to small for bathtub ...nowdays when you dont have enough space better get rid of bathtub.

Beautiful stay on Lake Orta. Rooms with balcony overlooking the pool and lake. Lovely walk from hotel to town square along alleyway. Recommend swim in the lake and lunch on the terrace. Hotel organised free return transfer to train station. Awesome buffet breakfast.

Great spot for a hotel, probably the best for Lake Orta. Impeccable service, good room (after upgrade since the initial one was terrible). A few glitches: we never learnt to use the electrical switches in the room- too complicated. Only if you are in a junior suite you get a wardrobe and a kettle - standard rooms are a disaster.

It's located on the waterfront of Lago D'Orta, and Isola San Guilio in an eye shot distance. Nice vista on the lake. The property is well maintained and the staff are very helpful. I fee like this area better than Lake Como in which is less touristy and more quiet and better for relaxation

Suffering mobility issues, I called the Leon d'Oro's reception and asked if they would mind sending up a ham sandwich. A few minutes later I got a call saying that if a ham sandwich was what I really wanted then they would send one up, but wouldn't I prefer a salad or some pasta? This is a gorgeous family owned and run business. They’ve been here for 200 hundred years. The food in their restaurant is incredible and it’s right on the lake with an excellent view of Isola S. Guilio. There is also a great spa inside the hotel which is worth going to at least once during your trip.

The staff was super kind and helpful with any questions we had. The little Spa Area is very nice after a long day of exploring. There's filtered water, coffee and tea available all day long but the absolut highlight was the breakfast! With homemade yogurt, cheese,butter and juices, so many different cakes and sweets. Stayed in the rooms for a few days, which were lovely although we changed to upstairs as the downstairs room was immediately next to the breakfast area and are a bit loud for light sleepers. We ate at the restaurant last night and were blown away by the food and service. The tasting menu is very good value at 32eur and the service is incredible. Our waitress recommended the most beautiful local wine. All food is locally sourced and they will happily give you more! VERY highly recommended.

Stylish period room in a quiet, vehicle-free backstreet, a 2 minute walk from the main plazza/port. Fabulous shops including a wonderful breakfast cafe, The Palace, and a lovely family restaurant Ca'Mea, both a minute away on foot. A great base to unwind. Note, that this is a satellite building, with superb staff located at the Leon D'Oro Hotel in the main Plazza.

Located in the historic center, it has rather small rooms, although all in all functional. A little inconvenient to reach it because in the pedestrian area and being the cobbled streets it is difficult to tow suitcases. Very convenient for boarding the island from San Giulio.

A negative note concerns the method of contact, on the site there is the urban number of the structure which is not manned, in fact the check-in must be done at the Leon D'Oro hotel in Piazza Motta and then be accompanied here. There is a nice little courtyard perfect for hanging out in a more secluded, quiet setting. Very nice people work here. Help with whatever you need. Rooms are simple, but very clean and many of them have lake view. The only problem is wi-fi in rooms. :) But works more stable on the first floor. 50 meters to the beach (paid one, but right after it there is a free one).

Absolutely a gem! Lovely family run hotel who can't do enough for you. We stayed in a group of 6 adults and 3 children. Over 3 rooms all in different areas of the hotel and all met our needs. The 2 boys aged 6 and 12, plus the wife and I loved it, way beyond our expectations. For what you pay you get a tremendous place to stay with great food , amazing breakfast with top notch coffee :) and fabulous staff. The table tennis table was a bit wonky but made it far more fun. B&B Al Dom is in a fantastic location and everything about the place was faultless. We can't think of anything that we'd change. The room was enormous and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was great and the care and consideration from Massimo and his wife was impeccable. A fantastic stay - we can't wait to return.

Incredible little B&B with private access to the lake and a beautiful terrace to sunbath and enjoy a swim. Breakfast was super delicious as well with a lot of choice. The owners have been super kind and friendly. Will definitely come back here again!!!

Exceeding all expectations we had a wonderful few days staying at the Al Dom. Such a lovely room with stunning views. Massimo (host) gave us excellent recommendations for hiking and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious. We will be back! A great discovery in a beautiful location.

Great spot to stop and explore, really helpful owner who have tips and maps for recommended places and routes. Site was very busy site to being high season and a public holiday when we arrived but got a pitch that suited us fine with plenty of room. Lots of toilets, showers and washing up areas, not fancy but all worked well. Peaceful couple of nights and the area deserved more time that we had

Really nice campsite and walking distance from the lake and village! When we were leaving we had some problems with our car battery and the staff of the campsite immediatly helped us with charging and starting the car! Thank you so much for that service, we had a great time there!

This campsite is far from your average camping place. It's family-run, with a personal approach. The layout offers more privacy, compared to most of other campsites we visited. Facilities include a decent playground for the kids and yes, the _bar_. Definitely pay a visit!

Generous pitches which are well layed out in tiers overlooking the gorgeous lake. The facilities are basic and toilets lack loo roll and hand soap, I think this contributed to the toilets always smelling like a public city toilet. That being said we enjoyed the location and views enough to return again. Very relaxed vibe and no booking required.

We really liked the campsite, and stayed for 4 nights. The views are exceptional from up on the hillside, where the pitch is. It's also very close to Orta, a beautiful town with restaurants and cafes. The beach at the campsite is small and pretty crowded, which I'd say is the only downside to this place. Views to Lake are beautiful. Camp is on both sides of the road. Lake pitches lovely but not enough toilets and showers and very dated. Overpriced compared to other sites of better quality in the Lakes. Shop sells great cheeses and meats.

Well organized terass campsite, right on the lake. The prices are fine, better then on the coast, we found out. We got one of the last places all the way at the top and had shade until about 11, which was great.
