Our October 2025 trip was our first visit to the Dolomites and I'm enthusiastically positive about our stay at Hotel Angelo Engel! The location is fantastic with three gondolas to the mountains within easy walking distance of the hotel, as well as the downtown. We had such a lovely stay! Our family truly enjoyed every minute. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The bar and breakfast staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious. The hotel’s location was perfect — an easy walk to the town center, yet quiet and private. The spa was also wonderful. We hope to return!

Wonderful place, very nice family. Comfortable bed. Beautiful and delicious gourmet dinners. We got immediate bus shuttles every morning and and afternoon to and from the ski lifts.

The hotel is quite old with very limited facilities whilst the lighting is a bit dim. The hotel is situated in the city centre with lot of restaurants around. The cable car is within the walking distance. Free bus services are available but we didn’t use it. Breakfast is good although the choices are limited.

The room is big. The location is convenient. The staff is amazing. My car was broken after checking out. I was in a trouble to communicate with the rental company by English since the staff of the rental company spoke poor English. Fortunately, a male staff of the hotel reception took over and communicated with the rental company by Italian. Otherwise, the problem could not be solved efficiently....

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Dolomiti Madonna! The hotel was clean, and the service was friendly. Breakfast was included and served from 07:30 to 09:30. It included muesli, yogurt, pastries, bread with a large selection of spreads, fruit, juices, eggs, and other drinks available to order. Great location and easy parking. The room was very clean but the bed was uncomfortable and we could hear every move made by the person in the room next to us. The free wifi didn’t work in most of the hotel. Very average stay, slightly overpriced but you are paying for the location more than anything. Service is nice. Biggest issues were for us were that the bed is uncomfortable and hair dryer stops working after 2 minutes of use because it overheats. Breakfast is average.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Scherlin and highly recommend it. The rooms are spacious and comfy, the staff is very accommodative, the location and views are truly amazing. Heated pool, panoramic terrace, delicious food, everything you need for a great vacation!!!

I was at the Hotel Ronce with my family, from the 1st to the 8th March 2020. Two double rooms. Very clean and well furnished. In typical Tyrolean style. The hotel is a little bit out of the way, but the hotel's free shuttle bus sticks to Piazza Sant'Antonio, (the center of Ortisei) at the feet. Even the ski facilities are easily accessible. We came all the way from california just to spend our family ski vacation here. Family run hotel with great food, wonderful rooms, and most of all friendly, family atmosphere that has become a tradition in our family. Love it!

Loved the facilities (sauna, turkish bath, pool) and the breakfast buffet. Stellar service especially from Rita. Nice, homely vibe/minimalistic rooms if you’re into that. It was a bit far from city center but you get a free bus pass.

Stayed at Hotel Rodes for 3 days, it was a great stay. Beautiful views and a accessible location. The staff was exceptional, especially Maria Cristina, she was so welcoming and treated us like family.

It's a good thing that we chose this place as our accommodation. The staff are very friendly and bus station is right in front of hotel. Delicious breakfast and a sauna to relieve my fatigue. You can walk to take Cable car and Hunicula to Seceda & Alpe di siusi The bathroom and room was clean. If you choose this hotel you will have a great memory in Urtisei.

Cozy hotel with an excellent breakfast. We were awoken at 7am by the smell of fresh croissants baking in the kitchen. The rest of the breakfast was deleicious and a great way to start an active day. The staff also prepared nice cappuccinos for us. It is located at the main bus station for the town, which makes getting around very convenient. It is also only a short walk to the seceda tram.

We had a great stay at Hotel Digon. Lovely breakfast and our host Daniel was very kind. The complimentary shuttle brought us to the city centre or to the ski piste, whatever we wished. We would really recommend Hotel Digon. Rooms are clean, there are lockers with ski boot heaters and there is even a slow juicer at breakfast. Great hotel!!

The breakfast is fantastic. There's fruit, pickled vegetables, bread, yoghurt and a cereal station - something for everyone. The staff are very helpful and friendly. You get access to complementary bus passes and the local spa/sauna/pool. It is a quick walk to the town centre. You could hear a bit of noise from other rooms but nothing major.

The stay was excellent. The room was clean (and cleaned each day) and spacious, breakfast more than enough to keep you going for a couple of hours. Special thanks to Rita - we saw her doing everything: from check-ins and check-outs to keeping an eye on supplies for breakfast, always with a smile and ready to to answer all questions you may have. When you enter the Fortuna Hotel you know you are in the Dolomites. The room 42 was very typical of a Tyrolean Chalet, lots of pine and when you open the door to the balcony you have a jaw dropping view of the mountain side and cable cars. I stayed here for four nights in July. The room was very comfortable and equipped. It was a great place to stay while going out hiking every day. What made this day exceptional was Rita. She doesn’t speak English and I don’t speak Italian but we managed to communicate well enough that she took care of everything that I needed. Really enjoyed my week stay here. It was right in town and next to two groceries. The family who operates the hotel are very very friendly and helpful. They gave us great suggestions on hikes and things to do. The hotel and rooms were also very clean and well put together. Our room in particular had a balcony and we loved sitting out there after a long hike. Really recommend this place to others.

This was a bit of a funky stay & situation. We booked this hotel during the Christmas break for a ski holiday but the Italian government didn’t allow any travel at that time (Covid restrictions). We wanted a refund but the hotel would not permit this so we planned a trip for July, before our departure back to the US from Italy. We felt obliged to go, otherwise we would have lost $1,200! Nice and clean hotel, good breakfast but bad coffee from an ordinary machine, close to the Main Street in Ortisei but very hard to reach because of the steep road up the hill. On European Vacation in April of 2017, we stayed in 7 different hotels, and this residence hotel was by far our favorite. Very clean, great breakfast, owners were delightful, and a quiet location. We will return someday, and without a doubt stay at Sule-Hof again!!

Cozy place, typical family-run hotel, the new part of the hotel has fantastic and large rooms (5Stelle), the older part but always welcoming rooms in a more past style. The restaurant offers typical local cuisine, an excellent buffet for both appetizers and breakfasts. Splendid panorama, both overlooking Ortisei to the west and the Alpe di Siusi to the east, ski and bike place and car park.
