We recently stayed here for 5 nights and the overall experience was pleasant. The hotel is located right across from Pisa train station so was perfect considering we had a day trip booked out of Pisa to Venice, didn’t have to walk far at all. Nice police presence outside the station as well who frequent the hotel to use the restroom so felt very safe going outside during the evening. It’s also not that far of a walk away from the leaning tower so definitely a bonus, also keeps you away from the crowds further down. Do keep in mind there is no seating outside the hotel though so you do have to stand if you want to have a smoke or even get some fresh air which was a little disappointing considering we didn’t have a balcony so couldn’t sit and enjoy the evening weather, but you can cross the road and sit on the benches opposite the station🤷🏽♀️.
The front of house staff and restaurant servers were lovely, polite and professional! The tourist tax was also very cheap in my opinion, only 3 euro a night which we were allowed to pay upfront so no messing around during check out!
However the only slight downside was the room there was constant nose coming from the fridge every 30 minuets or so, which as a person who likes back ground noise it was very loud and distracting. The bed sheets as well were very noisy and almost felt damp (not sure what washing powder they use) but they were definitely clean and dry, just slightly uncomfortable to sleep in. Hard to explain the sound and feel if I’m honest, all three of us had the same experience with this saying in three separate rooms) it was the same sort of sheets they use in Venice so might have something to do with there brands?
The room size was nice but not memorable, there also weren’t any plug sockets by the bed which I thought was strange! We had to unplug the lamp across the room to use one there and then also one other socket by the door which was annoying so only two for the whole room!? There also isn’t a kettle provided in the room (again slightly weird as never stayed anywhere abroad without a kettle and mugs naturally provided) however when we went to the reception to ask for one they were very very good in proving a tray with a kettle, cups with milk and sugar. So that was nice service but just be aware of this if you like to make a tea or coffee in the morning when you first wake up.
We pre paid for our breakfast as well when we booked through loveholidays so didn’t have to worry about that, the selection of food is good and tasted nice so would always find something to eat. They also serve breakfast from 7:00 - 11:00 which was soo nice as didn’t have to stress about waking up early to eat!
The layout of the hotel is nice and very welcoming when you walk in and they also provide free drinks at the side of reception to help yourself. Again staff were very well mannered and helpful all around so can’t complain at all. If you have pre booked airport transfer though do also keep in mind they tend to pick you up VERY VERY early from the hotel for some reason, the airport staff and even our flight attendants confirmed this on our return back which even they don’t understand so you will be waiting around for a while once you arrive at the airport. You also can’t get through security either until at least 2 and half hours before your flight is due to depart as the barriers won’t let you.
Overall a nice hotel and has a lot more pros than cons, would recommend mainly for its location and distance from the station, leaning tower and airport, plus its friendly professional staff.

On September 13, we checked into Hotel NH Pisa. After entering the room, we discovered that the air conditioning could not be turned on. Since we were traveling with a tour group, our tour leader reported this issue to the hotel. Not long after, two maintenance staff came up to check the AC and said it might be because the main switch was not turned on, and that they would go and look into it—but they never returned.
I later went down to the front desk to ask how long we would need to wait for the air conditioning to be fixed. The lady at the reception could not give a clear answer. At that point, I requested to change rooms, but she refused, saying there were no available rooms and we could only wait until the air conditioning was repaired.
Later, I met other guests on the same floor who also reported the same issue. The hotel’s response to them was simply that they could open the windows. Because the room was extremely hot, I again went downstairs to ask about changing rooms. This time, I was told that the air conditioning problem was “not a big issue,” that no maintenance staff would be available during the weekend, and that the hotel could only provide a fan. Additionally, the staff claimed that since our booking was part of a group special rate, we could not switch rooms.
This was the first time I had ever heard such an unreasonable response in all my travels. The two reception staff members had very poor attitudes and acted as if we were making trouble for no reason. If anyone wants to experience poor service and inadequate facilities, they can try staying at Hotel NH Pisa.

Upgraded to a suite on 5th floor. It was a 2-story room but stairs going up very rickety.
Water pressure for hot water in the shower was terrible. Like a 1 or 2 out of 10. There was also a mechanical noise that sounded every 30 seconds. I told the front desk and they sent someone up right away, which was good. The man heard the sound, never checked the water pressure, and never came back! I told the desk at checkout that they never came back and never fixed anything. They provided smiles and I’m sorries, but offers no compensation for the poor quality of the room. Disappointed overall.
Breakfast was great! Food selection and servers were great.

I stayed for just one night as I was passing through and prioritised being close to the station. I had read the reviews beforehand, so I had a general idea of what to expect. I stayed in a superior single room. Check-in went smoothly.
Once I got to the floor, I noticed the corridors were a bit poorly maintained. The room itself was fine—more in line with a three-star hotel. However, it had several signs of wear: there were marks on the floor from the door, cracked furniture, and the bathroom showed damp stains and peeling paint on the ceiling. Overall, it felt like the room hadn’t been properly maintained.
The water pressure in the shower was good, and I slept well. In the morning, I did a quick check-out.
Overall, I’d say it’s a decent hotel, but not up to the usual NH standard, and it doesn’t quite live up to a four-star rating.

Two minute walk from train station - perfect. Staff were friendly, warm and welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable. Didn’t have breakfast. Loved the welcoming juice and sweetie/savoury snack jars - lovely touch.

Stayed here with my wife and two of our daughters. The room the daughters were in was more modern. The room my wife and I were in was more old-fashioned and a bit less well appointed. Our room had three electrical outlets by the bed, one of which seemed a bit wonky. But we were able to charge our devices. Still the price was considerably cheaper than the hotel we last stayed in in Rome. The NH is literally right across the street from the train station so it couldn't be more convenient. We were able to walk from here to the leaning Tower plaza very comfortably. Just north of the hotel are many of the attractions that you will want to visit if you're a tourist or visitor and lots of restaurants and shops. Very nicely located. Terrific service at the desk. I'd happily stay here again.

Great value, clean, well size and ideally placed hotel.
Hotel is opposite the train station and perfectly located to local restaurants and shopping area. The Piazza del Duomo is a 20-30 minute walk away.
The room was of a good size, clean in good order. Breakfast was of a good quality.
It was great place to stay with excellent access to all things needed.

The rooms are extremely small, had a room for 3. Third bed was very cramped. If living with friends, no personal space at all. Toilets are old and unpleasent, can tell it is very old. The bathub and the shower is the same, can get very wet easily. Luckily i only stayed for a night. Location is great. Extremely close to train station. Around 15min walk to tourist attraction.

300 a night for a tiny room with only one outlet and no breakfast. Was disappointed based on the advertised pictures and description. Room smelled like strong cleaning chemicals and the beds were tiny and stiff cots. Would not have been a disappointment if the price was more reasonable compared to surrounding options. Lots of homeless people nearby but that's not their fault.

We found the room very small, however, it was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a problem with the glass wardrobe door coming off the runner which could have been very dangerous but no apology was offered. It appears that the hotel does not have any English speaking TV channels. Reception and restaurant staff were really nice and very helpful. We had a nice treat for our anniversary breakfast.
