Simply amazing. Beautifully renovated antique palazzo. A modern and silent lift has somehow been incorporated into the building. We stayed in the top floor room with incredible countryside views. Room and bathroom superb. Wonderful breakfast terrace. Excellent buffet breakfast and also freshly cooked eggs, cuts meats etc. prepared to order.

Our stay was excellent! The hosts were lovely, helped us with our trip, restaurants and future bookings. Very good, fresh breakfast. We decided to extend our stay because we loved it so much. The rooms were big and clean. Pietro was so kind, took us on a tour in the palace and in his tower and showed us antiques from the 14th- 16th century. The service is spectacular, we were treated as the most important guests in their hotel The breakfast was very good, with the right amount of healthy options as scrambled eggs or cheese and sweets. Parking was easy for us, you can park outside the hotel and during certain days and hours you may need to move your car for street cleaning. Staff was friendly although didn’t offer much in the way of helpful advice or suggestions .Room was quite modern and clean. Breakfast was mediocre and some details were lacking: Many of the “clean” plates at the breakfast buffet were dirty with stuck-on food. Town had very limited things to see and do. There were a couple good dining options, but not many during early season.

Nice view, but the rooms are very dark a bit creepy . Also, if you want to use the heating you have to pay extra 10 euros. Internet and tv didn't work.

Breakfast was plentiful and good quality - the usual Italian mix of pastries, cereal, meat and cheese, coffee, tea, juice etc. Rooms were comfortable and spacious (we were glad of the air con as it was very hot). It’s a short drive out of Barbarino, which has great restaurants and amazing views, and handily located for the major sites of Chianti

I spent 5 days in Barberino Val d'Elsa for a wedding, and Hotel Primavera was the perfect little retreat. The owners were extremely pleasant, welcoming and helpful despite my lack of Italian. Great room, breakfast and atmosphere at an affordable price. Fino alla prossima volta!

In a strategic position for a stay of a few days and visit the heart of Tuscany. In the paths that will be taken to reach the various locations (Certaldo, Volterra, San Gimignano, etc.) you will be able to enjoy splendid views and panoramas. A little dated hotel, it deserves major renovations.

- - Communication (EN) has been very hard from calls to emails, in person too - City tax was not mentioned in the room price so that came as a little surprise. No big deal but it should had been included in the cost to begin with - No service, no breakfast (praised by everyone who stayed at Antonella’s before), no coffee. Not their fault, just Covid19 restrictions - Not very comfy bed and pillows...

Amazing Tuscany experience. Antonella is a great host who made sure that we have great time. Breakfast is 10 euro/person and is a definitely blessing everyday with different special items (tiramisu one day, lots of cakes the other). The pool was clean, big and overlooking the hills of San Gimignano. The bed and pillows were comfortable.

Antonella is a sweetheart! Every evening she warmly welcomed us back from our day of exploring Tuscany. The place is also lovely, with a wonderful view of San Gimingano and the rolling hills surrounding it. Her food is not too bad either :) she will make sure you gain a couple pounds on your stay.

Everything was very good Italian standard but nothing was very special. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. It was not as plentiful as one could expect for that price.

Clean, comfy, simple and homely welcome in a great location overlooking the vineyards. Excellent breakfast of fresh fruit, homemade cakes and focaccia with local tomatoes. Firm comfortable bed and great shower. What more could you need.

The view of the starry sky with San Gimignano in the background is worth the trip. Ideal place to spend a holiday in nature, silence is guaranteed! I recommend bringing a good book to read by the pool, perhaps drinking a glass of the excellent wine that the hosts produce. Discreet staff but attentive to needs, satisfied our every request.

Farmhouse immersed in the vines of the Sienese hills, with a panoramic view of San Giminiano. The pool is perfect for cooling off and reconnecting with nature in a place that conveys peace. We stayed at the Petrognano for 5 nights on july. The hotel is gorges and very othentic ! Every way you look you see the thinking about all the details. The rooms are very big and comfortable, the swiming pool is beutiful. The bracfast was very nice also. My husband and I cannot express how amazing the Borgo Petrognano is. We booked the Borgo for our wedding weekend in 2020 but finally celebrated a couple of weeks ago. Ilaria and her team were so attentive to us and all of our guests. We received so many compliments on the stunning views, the rooms, the food that was prepared, the list is endless. We could not recommend the Borgo Petrognano enough.

We had a fantastic stay here in the middle of the beautiful landscape of tuscany, very close to San Giminano. The apartment was very spacious and convenient, the buldings are impressive and the views extraordinary. Checkin and checkout worked perfectly. I highly recommend this place.

There are plenty of parking spaces. It is a distance from the town. The courtyard on the first floor is quite large, but there are still problems with insects. I killed four mosquito-like insects in one night, although they did not bite people...

The hotel is in Chianti, surrounded by vineyards, and the scenery should be more beautiful in autumn. There are many villages with nice scenery within dozens of kilometers. The hotel is in a very strategic location, easy to find by car, and very close to San Gimignano. Walking on the path to the old town, the scenery is very beautiful, fully reflecting the unique natural environment of Tuscany.

We enjoyed this amazing hotel near San Gimignano. The breakfast was delicious and the hotel has a shuttle that takes you to San Gimignano if you don’t want to worry about finding parking. There’s also a Michelin Star restaurant on-site, which serves delicious Tuscan food for a decent price. The owner and his family are great people and We will definitely be back soon!

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was the second of three stays while in Italy. The property was very spacious with expansive views of wine country. The parking was easy and included. This was a very cute boutique hotel nestled in the hills of Tuscany. Our room was small but enough room not to feel claustrophobic. Great location, great staff as well. Such a great exp, we picked this place as a recharge day on our trip and it delivered.
