Rooms and facilities were very clean and comfortable. Location was very quiet and only a short drive from town. Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were fantastic. Highly recommend.

Very pleasant stay. Beautiful view of S. Gimignano from our room. We preferred the newer building with a smaller balcony rather than the older side with the larger balcony. Clean, safe and tranquil. Very cordial staff and excellent breakfast. Evening drinks on the terrace was very cozy and romantic. Very clean pool and surrounding area with flowers, trees and sounds of nature. We will return.

Rooms are dated - rust in the bathroom, still tolerable as you can tell it’s from normal wear and tear. Breakfast is very good but dinner food was unremarkable, I suggest to avoid. Spa is fun, with mint showers, sauna and scented steam rooms. Massage is just average, but they have hammam treatments which is unique (without the foam). Pros: Staff recommended a nice winery that we were very happy with. Informative about the area. Good breakfast. Fine walking distance to San Gimi. Cons: The “free” parking is not at the hotel, you have to park in a public parking space. The hotel is pretty expensive compared to what you get. Stayed here last June. Although room a bit small balcony was large with lovely views. Staff were great. Nothing to much trouble. Recommended r. Hope to go back this year.

This is a functional, clean B&B ...and if you want a simple place to stay then it is very peaceful, with good WiFi, and a reasonable, but not extensive breakfast, with lovely views

The hotel is old, but this gives a typical charm. The rooms are small and air-conditioning doesn't work perfectly. The rooms nevertheless are very clean. Breakfast is ok. The best is the pool and the amazing view on the Tuscany countryside. Within a 10 minutes walk you can easily reach the old town.

Good location, best to have rental car. There are no taxis in San Gimini. Not all desk people have good language,English, skills. Rooms are good.

Very nice place, 2 minutes from San Gimignano. The view from the pool is stunning, the rooms are very large and comfortable, the staff is kind and helpful, the restaurant is also excellent.

Superb place. You couldn't ask for a better location looking out on San Gimignano while the sun come up behind the town, OK, you have a 1.5km walk up to the town but that's no bother. Great rooms, excellent service and a fantastic breakfast selection.

Stayed here in July 2021 after staying here back in 2000. My how things have changed. The hotel got an update but it only feels partially done. The location is great, but be aware of the drive to get into the hotel. Amazing view and highly recommend a room with a balcony to enjoy the marvelous views of the Tuscany hillside.

We were so happy that we had booked this hotel for the two nights we stayed in San Gimignano. This is the very best place in town. Of course, you cannot park inside the walls but you can drive to the hotel to drop your things and get checked in, and then park in one of the convenient lots outside the walls. No problem. Great location with super helpful staff. There are rooms overlooking the Piazza as well as the Tuscan countryside. Can be noisy sometimes on the Piazza side but not necessarily to an excessive level.

We enjoyed this amazing hotel near San Gimignano. The breakfast was delicious and the hotel has a shuttle that takes you to San Gimignano if you don’t want to worry about finding parking. There’s also a Michelin Star restaurant on-site, which serves delicious Tuscan food for a decent price. The owner and his family are great people and We will definitely be back soon!

This was one of the most unique hotels I've stayed in. The rooms are all some of the most beautiful I've seen. La Collegiata is a former monastery converted into a glorious bourtique hotel on expansive grounds about a 1.5 miles walk (uphill) to the center of San Gimignano. Rooms are full of character and the beautiful grounds make for a lovely area to sit and dine during the summer months. Can't recommend highly enough, just remember, it is a good 25 minute walk into San Gimignano.

This was an exceptional stay at an exceptional location with exceptional staff. There is an amazing view of San Gimignano which is perfect for an aperitivo before dining at the restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, which can be seen by my attached photos. We took our Dog with us and the staff went above and beyond to make sure he was taken care of. We had a wonderful time here in June of 2019, staying one night while we were "on the road" through the Italian countryside. Our dinner on the terrace was delicious, and we loved the gorgeous view of San Gimignano across the fields. May I add that our room was beautiful and the the landscaping invited us to take a walk around the grounds.

Great property, location and staff. Everyone was really helpful and nice. The restaurant has a great menu and is very good. The pool is a bit cool and refreshing. Many German people made this their holiday location. The only thing I would change is the bed, it was bowed in the middle. A new mattress would fix it... My final tip, bring a bit of bug spray for dinner (ankles) and at the pool..

Absolutely loved this place! In the heart of San Gimignano, great price and great people. The owner, Marzia, is a lovely woman, always ready to help and to give you advice on the hottest spots of the city and surrounding. The rooms are spacious and always very clean. There is fast Wi-fi and I never had problems with it. I also loved the cozy backyard, ideal to relax while reading a book.

The lady was very friendly. Provided information and details about the city that were very helpful. The place is well organized and have this special flavour of the old city with its rich history. Nice experience to enjoy and remember.

Room number 11 was relatively spacious (with a walk-in closet), clean and best of all had spectacular views from the small balacony. The couple running the hotel were just wonderful and had good recommendations for dining. Highly recommended.

Couldn't have wished for a better place to eat on our last night here in Gimignano. Our meals were superbly presented along with fantastic professional service. Absolutely recommend this beautiful hotel, a reason for this being their fine selection of fish dishes unavailable in most of the other restaurants in the village.

Very good traditional Italian and Toscan restaurant using excellent product and serving original dishes which is good once you have spend several days in Toscana and tested already all the specialties. Simple place and decoration, the most value is in the food and the service.

Wonderful staff - very accommodating and helpful. Clean comfortable room with an excellent view of the city. Easy walking distance to the city - but just far enough to be quiet at night. It's a hotel, it has plenty of visitors (maybe 20 or 30 rooms, if that?), it has a pool and a restaurant, a bar, reading areas, WiFi - everything a great hotel has, except it's not a sky-rise. Everything was very good Italian standard but nothing was very special. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. It was not as plentiful as one could expect for that price.

Clean, comfy, simple and homely welcome in a great location overlooking the vineyards. Excellent breakfast of fresh fruit, homemade cakes and focaccia with local tomatoes. Firm comfortable bed and great shower. What more could you need.

Very nice hotel, good breakfast (including savory food) and very friendly staff. Andreas in particular was brilliant and he provided a shuttle service for a fair fee. Would have been nice to have a shorter walk into the old town from the hotel as quite a long detour walk (very scenic and beautiful though) had to be taken each day as public busses were not at all reliable. This is a lovely family hotel surrounded by vineyards and amazing views. It is tranquil, bus stop right outside so we could reach it without a car. The staff is amazing! Everyone were so kind, especially the owner Donatella. We specifically enjoyed Nina the dog as well ☺️ We had wine tasting in the hotel, strolled around the vineyards and received explanations from Donatella, the wine was delicious...

Very professional and helpful staff. The room we stayed in was very clean and tidy and the breakfast was delicious. If you're arriving with a car, there are more than enough parking spaces. On the other hand, I really hope that the owner will change all the room doors because the noise they're making is unbearable. For anyone with poor fitness skills, I don't recommend going to San Gimignano on foot...

Captured the essence of San Giminiano with it’s old stone columns and atmosphere. Friendly helpful staff. Wonderful breakfast buffet! And can’t beat the location; right on the main square in the center of town. We arranged through our hotel in Florence for a driver and the convenience was well worth the money.

I wanted to stay at this hotel because of it's location...in the heart of San Gimignano! Right next to the best gelato store in the world. Can't say enough about the staff....assisting in parking our car and the shuttle service to and from the parking lot outside of the walls of the city. Our room, overlooking the Piazza della Cisterna was wonderufl.

The views are beautiful and serene. The hotel staff is welcoming and kind. Our dog was able to walk the property and our room had lots of space. The room was clean and had amazing views of the countryside. The breakfast was nice, but limited choices. The hotel is a short drive to the city center but feels as if you are in the middle of nowhere.

Wonderful hostel, in the middle of Tuscany, near San Gimignano. The two-bedroom is gorgeous, with wooden ceilings, and nicely decorated. The area is simply beautiful! Highly recommended!
