The service here was attentive, and the food pretty good. Not sure the quality was enough to justify the very high prices though.

It's fine if you are here but it is otherwise too bland (and definitely for the price with €20+ for appetizers).

Basic bungalow with a large bathroom in a lovely quiet campsite with several small beaches and a restaurant within the campsite. Walking distance from the town centre. We hope to return again next year.

Beautiful rustic style structure on the outskirts of Palau, our room with balcony always clean and comfortable, very kind staff, very good breakfast with a wide choice from sweet to savory. The swimming pool is beautiful with spectacular views over the entire valley. Recommended for a pleasant stay in Palau.

Very old and simple facilities. We do not understand that it has 4 stars, it does not deserve them. We chose it simply to be close to Palau, to take the excursion to La Maddalena. Too expensive for what it offers

Loved our 2 night stay here. We wanted somewhere close to the port that would allow us to easily visit La Maddelena and this was it. The hotel is a 25 minute walk from the port (or a 5 min drive). The facilities were good- enjoyed using the pool on our last day. Breakfast was also great. Only issues we had were a faulty toilet, which staff looked into.

Gorgeous place! Close to the city but also very quiet and peaceful. Very friendly staff and great food! Their cheap laundry service really saved us! And the dinner at the hotel was super nice. We ate there and then watched the Italy - England final! Only thing I missed is that the double bed didn’t have a top mattress which meant that there was a gap between the beds and it was a bit hard.

The location is excellent ... a HUGE PLAUSO to ANNINA and PATRIZIA for their availability ... the apartments should be better equipped with accessories (for example a deckchair to relax outside ... more pots, glasses, etc.) and above all it would take the 'air conditioning (which would consume less energy than all fans - obviously that does not become an excuse for an exaggerated price increase) ....

The villas are externally very beautiful and are in a great location, really 10 minutes walk from the center and 5 from the first beach, the staff to welcome us was very kind and helpful. The real problem with these apartments is that they are very "basic" and old-fashioned from the point of view of furnishings and services, our apartment type A was practically a "cave" with two French windows overlooking...

This bar/restaurant was very hospitable and placed in a beautiful location, food and drinks were immaculate and the workers are very welcoming. Glad to see the baristas have English speaking baristas too! Would definitely recommend.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient—just a 7-minute walk to the bus station, and there’s a supermarket only a few meters away, which made things really easy. There is a bus stop nearby, shops, 20 minutes to the beaches, about the same to the port. The rooms are OK, with balconies or an exit to the lawn, on the ground floors. No kettle, which is not very convenient. The city center is close, but not very close, a little tiring in the heat

The hotel is very well located (15 minutes walk from the beach and the city center) It is very easy to park in front. Very quiet area. The staff is very welcoming. The rooms are large, clean and ours had a small balcony with 1 table, 2 chairs and a very practical drying rack for drying towels after the beach. Buffet breakfast very good.

The hotel is very simple and just a few minutes from the center. The parking in front of the hotel is convenient and free. The room is a little small especially with two fairly large suitcases but using it only for sleeping since I spent the days always out is more than fine. Kind and attentive staff.

Kate, the host, is super kind, everything was perfect. I have been in to different bright bedrooms (with bathroom included) and they both were big, confortable and extremely clean. The Fonda offers guests a tasty and varied breakfast- the homemade pudding is the best! I really recomend this place, I surely would come back.

We had a wonderful night's stay at La Fonda. The rooms were bright, airy, beautifully styled and spotlessly clean. Our host Katie was very friendly and welcoming. No breakfast offered because of Covid but a short walk into the town and local cafes/restaurants. Would recommend to anyone visiting Palau!

We checked day by day what B&B we were gonna go to next and our B&B before this one didn't know La Fonda so we doubted for a second. But really really happy we went anyhow! Was a lovely B&B. The rooms are very bright, white and just very calming. I think this might just be the nicest B&B we slept in during our Sardegna roadtrip. Also the owner Cathryn was great, she gave us so many tips on nice restaurants...

I had an amazing time in this hotel. I never ever write reviews but I was so overwhelmed by my experience at this hotel that I had to write one. Daniella, Angelica and the other staff at the hotel are phenomenal and so helpful. Breakfast was great and delicious. I highly recommend this place.

Nice hotel right in the centre of Palau! The staff were lovely. Would recommend a trip over to Maddalena as Palau town is a bit quiet. Breakfast was good but quite basic - what you’d expect for the price!

This hotel is very nice. Good style and spacious rooms in a great location. The hospitality is excellent. And there is a nice bar attached with snacks and beverages. My only suggestion would be slight improvements to breakfast which would put it over the top (fresh juice, more fruits and vegetables, etc.).

Our stay at La Vecchia Fonte was ok. We chose it because it was a bit of a last minute booking, they are close to the diving center we were visiting, it has air conditioned rooms and it has a relatively good price when you compare to other properties in the area. Great hotel. Very friendly staff that gave their best to help. We got a free upgrade to a beatiful room since I mentioned it was part of our honeymoon. The location is good and bad since we were there without a car. Its located up the hill above Palau with a beatiful view and in nice a calm area. And there is a supermarket just around the corner. The desk staff are incredibly nice ladies, always welcoming. The rooms are old and charming, minimally decorated (my favorite) - I extended my stay to enjoy the open window breeze. Not modern, enjoyably so. An easy walk in to town, or a ferry over to La Maddalena. Will return!

As a family of four, with two adults and two children (12 and 15 years old), we stayed here in 2024. The room was exceptionally affordable, the staff was super friendly, and the breakfast was very plentiful. We would love to stay here again.

Lovely place to stay at night, but in the morning the cleaning lady drags the chairs across the floor of neighboring rooms so we were up by 8 am , comes in without knocking ( this happened all 3 mornings we were there), and then says reception said we checked out... All this before 10 a.m. Everything else was fine.

Old facilities, very basic for a 4* hotel, the most notable thing is the views from the breakfast terrace... the rest is very, very basic.

Great location when visiting Palau. Easy to walk to the center of town, with access to many restaurants and beautiful views. Ferry to La Maddelena, easy to access. They don't have a restaurant, but offer breakfast at 15 Euros. They also have a little bar where you can order a drink, water or espresso. The only complaint I have is that the Wi-Fi can be spotty.

My stay in august 2021 was enjoyable. The view, room, cleanliness, and personnel were all excellent. They offered us the best directions and assisted me in planning a surprise birthday celebration. There were scented sticks placed everywhere in the hallway. Unfortunately, the smell was quite unpleasant. There was also an unpleasant odor in the room. The wooden hallway floor creaked quite a bit. Breakfast was good.

We stayed for 2 nights with our family of 4. Not sure if there are rooms for 4- we needed to reserve 2 rooms, which was fine. Price was reasonable. The hotel is in a little disrepair but was functional with nice rooms. Good air conditioning. Free parking. This location is a mile or so out of town- a car is helpful.

Nice place and position but Jeez they don't have air conditioning in rooms from 9 am to 2:30 pm. When we got there it as 38 degrees, we were desperate for a bit of cool air but could not turn the airconditioning because it was 12 pm. It was very unpleasant. The only hotel in Sardinia we stayed in that had that stupid rule. This is one of the reasons I would never choose it again.
