Hotel Gallia Palace

Tiny old-fashioned room with little window and no outlook. The shower floods the bathroom. Busy street and no parking at the hotel (it seems to be used by staff). Staff are not helpful, even with a recommendation for a good restaurant for dinner. This area of Rimini is what I would call ‘Redneck Riviera,’ and would never return.

I wonder how they get so many good reviews. The only positive is the breakfast. Tiny dark rooms, even by European standards. The shower floods the bathroom. The a/c does not work and drips on the floor; and when we alerted staff they said "oh, that's normal." There is no parking, despite their claim there is. The pool area is not pleasant. I would not recommend this hotel at all. We did have an enjoyable dinner at The Black Cat.

I booked this hotel as a special present for my mom and sister, but it turned into an absolute nightmare. They arrived late at night, around 3 AM, in a town they didn’t know, and when they called the hotel for help, the staff refused to assist them in any way. They were scared and felt completely unsafe, but the nighttime receptionist had the audacity to say, "It's not my problem," and then hung up on them! This level of incompetence and disrespect is beyond unacceptable. To make matters worse, when they finally managed to reach the hotel, they were given the wrong room. I had specifically booked a twin room, but they were given a double room with an extra bed they didn’t ask for, and then the hotel tried to charge them extra for it! When they tried to resolve this with the so-called management, they were told that the manager was conveniently "on vacation" during the peak August season—how likely is that? There was absolutely no one to complain to or ask questions, leaving them completely stranded. To top it all off, the hotel refused to provide any refund for this disaster of an experience. They didn’t care about the mistake they made or the distress they caused my family. All they were interested in was squeezing more money out of us. This is by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever encountered, and I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to think twice. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!

Simple structure, only renovated in a couple of floors, I was sold a "superior" room and I was hoping it really was. Friendly staff on arrival, but a little less in case of comments. The experience wasn't the best, the first night I had a lot of trouble sleeping due to a broken mattress on the right side, the following morning I asked for a change of mattress or a change of room, I was told that the mattress it was new and it was impossible for it to be uncomfortable or damaged and moreover I slept on a DORELAN (telesales have also ruined hoteliers), to their statement I pointed out that the room should have become a double and not a double, deaf ears and they communicated to me that they would fix the bed. In the evening, upon my arrival, I found the same mattress turned upside down with a duvet under the sheet (duvets are not toppers). The following morning I pointed out again to a second receptionist that their intervention had not been sufficient and if they could please arrange to create a double and not a double, annoyed she replied that they would have to change the mattress again and that for them it was impossible to move the bed base as it is double and therefore it would not have passed through the door ... (the bed bases under the mattress were two singles and if the bed base would not have passed through the door, what magic did they do to insert it the first time? And above all what capabilities did they have to bring in the first and then the second mattress???) . I also took the liberty of asking how they classified the SUPERIOR room given that in the bathroom there is no light in the mirror, adhesive tape was applied along the edges of the same so as not to point out the altered mirror, there is no electrical outlet for a hair clipper (other than the one next to the wall-mounted hair dryer, however inconvenient), a support shelf for an almost non-existent beauty kit, hot water intermittent due to the simultaneous use of other rooms, the space of the room is narrow and decidedly limited, the desk almost unusable and the TV remains covered by the back of the chair (moving it obviously would close the passage around the bed) in response I received: "we classify it superior because it has a sea view" Breakfast alas not not even she survived, inedible peaches, some baked goods from the day before and a bit slow service for those who are not on holiday. At low cost, it is acceptable, on the contrary, it would be advisable to reevaluate the whole structure to ask for €200 per night
