The other changes were the parking in spaces in the side road were no longer free, and yes they do charge for towels now. We parked on another road for free and used the same towels for 3 days as they dry in the sun

The hotel is well located near the city, has a gorgeous view and it is very quiet place during night

The pool Needs better care and to be heated, it is too cold in April, the garden needs a better maintenance and the service staff restaurant needs a more polite supervisor Asap

Small but wonderfull and very, very affordable. Maria hosted our chek in, friendly and “bella” she was a treat, along with everyone in the hotel. Friendly and helpfull in every step. Breakfast was very well thought out

Plenty of breakfast options to choose from. My recommendation is to have a car (where possible) as taxi from Poggibonsi train station was $60 euros and when it came to leaving: the local bus simply never arrived 😳😩😡

Toscana is not a place where a great hotel room is what you look for, as most of your time should be spent outside! having one with spectacular view from out private balcony was defitively a great perk

Would have been nice to have a shorter walk into the old town from the hotel as quite a long detour walk (very scenic and beautiful though) had to be taken each day as public busses were not at all reliable

We swam in the pool although it was 17C outside and it was fun. Really memorable experience of tuscany. We really recommend this hotel!

Room spacious enough, bathroom ok. Great swimming pool, good breakfast (a mix between continental and italian but it's enough variety for everyone). There is a restaurant next to it for evening meals

We spent two nights there, the rooms are ok, breakfast can be better, nice small pool, kind staff, and close to the San Gimignano.

Good walking distance from the historical San Gimignano sites. The room was always clean and the staffs were very friendly. The iconic towers are visible from the hotel pool side.

Very kind and prepared welcome, the service in general perfect, breakfast very abundant and rich in both salty and sweet. the only flaw found is the pool not very clean and the air conditioner a little too high.

This resort has a rich breakfast and a large swimming pool, which is very suitable for summer vacation

From the observation deck, you can see the small town of San Gimignano, which is known as the "City of a Hundred Towers". It is about 2 kilometers away on foot

This was one of the most unique hotels I've stayed in. The rooms are all some of the most beautiful I've seen. Breakfast is included with the stay, which is a buffet including fruit, pastries, and more

There are two pools to swim in, a gym, and a trampoline to jump in for children. All of the staff are very friendly, and the connecting restaurant had some of the best meals I'd had in Tuscany

There’s also a Michelin Star restaurant on-site, which serves delicious Tuscan food for a decent price. The owner and his family are great people and We will definitely be back soon!

With palatial hedges/gardens and an old Italian atmosphere it really was a special experience. A very special shout out to Stefano and Erika for making our experience exceptional

This place is a little oasis within 10 mins drive of Sam Gimignano town center. Beautiful grounds, lovely pool, parking, etc. the staff are great and they offer a selection of menu items for drinks and food.

Overall Experience: Overall, my experience at Il Castagnolo was fantastic. The hotel's proximity to San Gimignano town adds to its appeal, making it easy to visit the local attractions while enjoying a peaceful stay

Amenities: One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. It was simple yet very good, with a variety of options available. The coffee was a particular delight, made to order and just the way I like it

What a gem. We had a short but beautiful stay. My personal highlight: getting served the handmade cappuccino whilst sitting at the breakfast table with the Beautiful view over Tuscany!

Wonderful hostel, in the middle of Tuscany, near San Gimignano. The two-bedroom is gorgeous, with wooden ceilings, and nicely decorated. The area is simply beautiful! Highly recommended!

Beautiful bed and breakfast in a quiet, off the beaten path location. The back patio has an incredible view of the city of San Gimignano, the property is quiet and relaxing and the staff is kind and accommodating

The only thing I could critizise is that the sound isolation of the rooms are not the best and you can hear the neighbours sometimes

They helped us with reservations and directions, and made us feel very welcome. We stayed for 2 nights and it was way too short. The breakfast view on the terrace was stunning, it was incredibly fresh, tasty and simple

Only two things to note that would make it even more amazing, having some light snacks or apertivo in the afternoon by the pool (fruits or snacks) and light music in the restaurant

This place is designed with a third eye. From the windows, to the bathtub, to the honor bar & library. I would do anything to stay with Baker & Christian again. The staff was absolutely incredible & thoughtful

The restaurant experience was nice, but was a bit too quiet, brightly lit and formal for my taste, we also didn't love the roast beef salad, but maybe it was an off night

We had a magical and unforgettable stay at this boutique hotel. All the details were taken care of, and the service from the staff was amazing

The room was very clean and had all of the necessary amenities (hair dryer, small kitchenette, towels, bath wash, etc)

Anna and Alessandro are such kind people; delays to our travel plans left us stranded at the train station in Poggibonsi (about 12 km from the hotel) and they came to pick us up in their own car in the middle of the night! They also arranged a car service for us to get back to the train station at the end of our stay

Although I did not stay here, I walked on the property and was greeted by the owner of the B&B who was extremely friendly, gracious and hospitable. The views are incredible (picture attached) from the rooms and backyard

Finally, the breakfast was to die for: traditional Tuscan eats (amazing bruschetta, and charcuterie) as well as a wonderfully light apple cake made by Anna herself. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Parking is difficult in the area, so having on site parking was another plus. We took advantage of the grocery across the street to bring fresh bread, cheese and meats back to the outdoor patio

To experience Tuscany away from the tourist district but close enough to access it quickly, this is an excellent choice. If I had another night in San Gimignano, I would have stayed here

BBQ facilities were more than adequate for cooking for all of us, and the pool was great, too. Great restaurant half a mile up the road, too, if you need a break from self-catering with a large group

The apartments are equipped with everything you need, they are immersed in a wonderful wooded park where there is also a swimming pool. The owner is very kind and helpful, we will gladly come back!

And, yes, swimming pool is also included

Could not have found a better place. Amazing house and the owner is absolutely lovely. Rooms were super clean and completely ready for you. Cooking gear is spotless with nice set of pan and cutlery

Separated flats and kitchens allow for a lot of flexibility, while the communal dining room & table were a great natural gathering point in the evenings

We stayed at Ponte a Napo, great place with nice tuscan views, clean room, the food was fresh and local, very friendly people

The only drawback is that our rooms were 40 plus stairs up, - -there is no elevator and no help with baggage - -so keep that in mind if mobility is an issue

The location is fantastic right on the piazza, and the views are spectacular

Though they have another building in the town of sant gimigiano so I recomend you to ask first and check where you will stay, up in the town or down in the countryside building. Staff is very polite and helpful
