We loved our stay here! The breakfast was incredible! The room is big and the staff are wonderful! Loved the pool and grassy lounge area! Walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

The hotel is well located near the city, has a gorgeous view and it is very quiet place during night

The pool Needs better care and to be heated, it is too cold in April, the garden needs a better maintenance and the service staff restaurant needs a more polite supervisor Asap

The only reason I withheld that 5th star is that the hotel isn't inside the old castle walls of San Gimignano. The walk up the hill isn't bad at all, but there is that walk up the hill (which isn't clear in the listing)

The views from this hotel were really nice, but as the other reviewers said, the rooms are quite small. The balcony was huge, but if it is too cold you wouldn't be able to hang out there anyway

This was one of the most unique hotels I've stayed in. The rooms are all some of the most beautiful I've seen. Breakfast is included with the stay, which is a buffet including fruit, pastries, and more

There are two pools to swim in, a gym, and a trampoline to jump in for children. All of the staff are very friendly, and the connecting restaurant had some of the best meals I'd had in Tuscany

There’s also a Michelin Star restaurant on-site, which serves delicious Tuscan food for a decent price. The owner and his family are great people and We will definitely be back soon!

Wonderful hostel, in the middle of Tuscany, near San Gimignano. The two-bedroom is gorgeous, with wooden ceilings, and nicely decorated. The area is simply beautiful! Highly recommended!

This place is a little oasis within 10 mins drive of Sam Gimignano town center. Beautiful grounds, lovely pool, parking, etc. the staff are great and they offer a selection of menu items for drinks and food.

it is 1000 times more beautiful in reality than in the pictures. I liked everything about this location. from the perfect cleanliness to the typical Tuscan rooms but in a modern way

We were shown a room in what is considered "part" of the Main house although not attached, small with a lovely window view, but a bathroom that was designed for handicapped accessible, akin to that in a camper or train, where there was a handheld shower for bathing, without curtain, directly opposite the toilet, where it would be impossible not to soak the entire small bathroom with use, and no bidet...

We found this unacceptable and beyond unusual to be given this without warning or request and therefore needed to change rooms in order to have a proper enclosed shower, which cost an additional 20E per night as designed to sleep 4 with one large and 2 twin beds, which actually was in the Main house

Initially, I would have given this property a 2 star, but for end result I would say 3 to be fair overall, including food, which for the one dinner we had, was the poorest of this 3 week journey to Italy and perhaps one of the worst dining out experiences I have had in a long time

Specifically, upon arrival, I had booked a double room for more money in the Main House (as specified in the confirmation email where the restaurant and reception are located)

But then, why did you go to Italy?!?! This is a lovely and unaffected place. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Irene was super helpful and welcoming! The location was great as it was very close to San Gimignano as well as Certaldo and several hikes.

Beautiful Old Palace in the center of Colle Val D'Elsa. The Hotel is huge, very clean. The bedroom ist really nice, one of the best I've ever seen, really large, with a big and confortable bathroom

As a structure I liked it, maybe it would need some tweaks inside the rooms with a few more electrical outlets and in the bathroom I would only recommend a nice and large shower and remove the bathtub

Insider tip: Colle Val d’Elsa has a riverbed which is almost like a place in the rain forests, really amazing and unbelievable blue water, bathing possible but a little bit of ‘pond’ smell during and afterwards… ;) We went to see (and taste) products from organic vineyards, where we met lovely open people and felt connected to nature, felt good to buy “the right products”

The cities: Siena, Florence and Lucca – must see places, it’s good to already know some of the history before you go; Lucca is most relaxed even with tourism and has a lovely shady (summer) park on top of the city wall

It is suitable for self-driving. It takes a few minutes to drive to the supermarkets in the surrounding towns, and one or two hours to drive to Siena, Tacheng, Pienza, etc
