It's a beautiful and relaxing place with panoramic views and a good pool with comfortable sunbeds. Be careful while choosing the room because not all rooms look freshly renovated

We selected a 7:30 delivery so we could start our travel day early, but nothing arrived until 8:15 for my parents and 8:25 for us, and half of the items were missing. Eggs arrived later but they were overcooked

We reported this at checkout and were advised to email for a refund of the breakfast component, but after four business days we have not received a response

Staff seemed disorganised and unable to keep up with the orders, which delayed our departure by more than an hour

The staff is helpful, the territory is beautiful. The restaurant isn't bad but it is empty

Rating this hotel is a great struggle. I would error on the side of caution that this is not a 4 star hotel

We loved our stay here! The breakfast was incredible! The room is big and the staff are wonderful! Loved the pool and grassy lounge area! Walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

The hotel is well located near the city, has a gorgeous view and it is very quiet place during night

The pool Needs better care and to be heated, it is too cold in April, the garden needs a better maintenance and the service staff restaurant needs a more polite supervisor Asap

The only reason I withheld that 5th star is that the hotel isn't inside the old castle walls of San Gimignano. The walk up the hill isn't bad at all, but there is that walk up the hill (which isn't clear in the listing)

Great view and nice breakfast Just a one night couple stay on a road trip round Italy. Firstly what a view from the balcony! Room and bathroom small but adequate as I was expecting

The views from this hotel were really nice, but as the other reviewers said, the rooms are quite small. The balcony was huge, but if it is too cold you wouldn't be able to hang out there anyway

A quick 20 minute walk into San Gimignano where Stephano recommended terrific restaurants for lunch or dinner, and also other towns to visit. So quiet, such beautiful gardens and a large, wonderful, quiet pool

Driving up to the old monastery along the beautifully tree lined driveway and arriving in this magnificent greenery and impeccably maintained gardens around the whole property

The rooms we had were large and comfortable with a great patio space to sit and enjoy in your down time. Since it was very hot on our trip it was great to have a beautiful pool that was well maintained

Our stay at La Collegiata was wonderful! It’s a lovely boutique hotel reminiscent of a bygone era. It's a tranquil and peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle but very close to the center of San Gimignano

We had a fantastic time in this hotel, Luca and his staff go over and above to make sure everything is superb for their guests from the rooms, the pool and gardens to the superb food

Our suite was magnificent, cool with AC, and a separate lounge sitting area. Its located only 5 minutes drive from San Gimignano but Luca offers lots of advise and tips about other places in the area to visit

We stayed at Molino di Foci for the second time. We love the small boutique hotel, friendly atmosphere and nice food. At Molino you can relax and they make you feel like a real guest.

The rooms are super nice and super super clean. The staff is friendly and very very nice. The hotel is located in a small valley and has a very nice Toscan view

If you’re looking for a peaceful countryside stay with pretty grounds and don’t mind a bit of self-service, it’s a fine option. But service could be more attentive and organized, especially at check-in

Great location with super helpful staff. There are rooms overlooking the Piazza as well as the Tuscan countryside. Can be noisy sometimes on the Piazza side but not necessarily to an excessive level.

Of course, you cannot park inside the walls but you can drive to the hotel to drop your things and get checked in, and then park in one of the convenient lots outside the walls

The hotel is lovely, especially if you can get a room with balcony overlooking the marvelous Tuscan countryside. We sat there for hours, it"s that beautiful

Wonderful hostel, in the middle of Tuscany, near San Gimignano. The two-bedroom is gorgeous, with wooden ceilings, and nicely decorated. The area is simply beautiful! Highly recommended!

This was one of the most unique hotels I've stayed in. The rooms are all some of the most beautiful I've seen. Breakfast is included with the stay, which is a buffet including fruit, pastries, and more

There are two pools to swim in, a gym, and a trampoline to jump in for children. All of the staff are very friendly, and the connecting restaurant had some of the best meals I'd had in Tuscany

There’s also a Michelin Star restaurant on-site, which serves delicious Tuscan food for a decent price. The owner and his family are great people and We will definitely be back soon!

The village of Pancole is very small, but only 5 km from San Gimignano, so if you want to escape after a day of sightseeing and hordes of people, Hotel Renaie is definitely the place to stay

We stayed three nights and enjoyed our stay very much. The location, surounded from Olivetrees, is beautiful. In some minutes you can reach San Gimignano by car,in 20 minutes Volterra

We had a spacious room with a large teracce. We booked halfboard and could select a starter and maincourse from the Menu. Not to forget a very nice pool. And everybody is very friendly

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Lovely, helpful staff, stunning views, gorgeous pool. They do light lunches, but no evening meals. However - there is a fantastic restaurant 200m down the track which has food to die for!

The swimming pool is cool and welcoming after a days sightseeing around the Tuscan cities and towns of Siena, Florence and many others. The staff are attentive and eager to help. Rooms comfortable with fantastic views

Would have been nice to have a shorter walk into the old town from the hotel as quite a long detour walk (very scenic and beautiful though) had to be taken each day as public busses were not at all reliable

Hotel is spotlessly clean, the host/owners are friendly and very helpful and they have a beautiful pool with knockout views! The hotel is in a great spot if you want to be just outside the busy San gimignano but within a 15 to 20 minute walk which for us was ideal

We had been driving around Italy for a few days and arrived at San Gimignano without a hotel reservation. There was a festival in town and we were concerned we would not find a place to stay

It was almost 9 pm and we had not had dinner, Paola immediately offered to make reservation for us at a near by restaurant. We went to have dinner before even looking at the room

The restaurant even granted us a 10% discount when we mentioned we were staying at the San Michele Hotel. What a pleasant surprise when we returned

We spent 3 days in this property during a vacation in Tuscany. We stayed in the upstairs apartment which was very cozy and well furnished in style

Very clean, very nice, incredibly calm. The ONLY downside (if it could be rated as one) is that the wifi is very bad. Incredibly relaxing !!!

What rosette is the fact that the room was ready when we arrived a few hours before our check-in but they wanted to charge us another 10 euro a person to check in early when I paid for 4 people for one quadruple room

But then, why did you go to Italy?!?! This is a lovely and unaffected place. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Place was beautiful, but was a little upset with customer service. I booked and paid for 7 nights but only stayed 4 due to the fact that we booked one night in Venice, one in Florence and one in Chinque Terrre

The room is for four people but I booked for 3 and last minute I added a fourth my husband and they charged another 45 euro a day which it doesn’t make sense since we shared the same bed and we didn’t stay there the whole 8 days I paid for anyway

My only points of feedback would be that it would be nice that the bar next to the pool is open more hours (as of our stay, it was only open for 1hour between 7 and 8 PM)

Good located place, friendly hosts and their doggy, San Gimignano seen through the window in the room, delicious homemade wine, quiet neighbourhood, we stayed there for 3 nights and there was our starting point for exploring Tuscany (we were traveling by car)

After doing that, kicking back in a lounge chair by the pool, or under a tree in the yard (which is more like a beautiful, enclosed field of grass with groomed landscaping) with a nice book is amazing

And did I mention that they bring you food and drinks whenever you ask? The restaurant in the hotel was one of the best we ate at in all of Italy, and we've been to 12 cities/towns/villages so far

It has all of the traditional dishes, but with a very Tuscan feel - they offered all dishes with ingredients found in that region, most of which were farm-to-table from nearby farms

The bed was comfortable and there was a mini fridge and tea/coffee available. The real highlight was the view from our garden and from the outdoor pool

We regret not spending every meal here - actually we went to a nearby vineyard for a wine tasting and expensive vineyard dinner but the dinner at the Mormoraia was far better and more reasonably priced, and frankly the views were better

Unbelievable views, great service (note they were understaffed due to covid but the staff present were SO helpful even though it was clear they were working extremely hard), beautiful property, excellent designed villas and rooms

I know this is an Agriturismo and working vineyard so living creatures are certainly to be expected, but it was a bit frightful at night getting to the bathroom and seeing more than one beetle on the way

We bought lots of delicious house made olive oil and wine as well to bring back. My only gripe was there were a good number of bugs which unfortunately made their way into our room and came out at night

Perhaps some bug spray would go a long way. If they were to fix that issue, this would be hands down a 5-star hotel experience
