Hotel O Sole Mio

Just back after spending 2 weeks here, can't recommend enough, lovely hotel in a beautiful peaceful location. All staff were amazing, especially when we had a wee medical issue with my Dad, they were fantastic, the staff are a credit to the hotel. Buffet breakfast has a great choice with something for everyone, we had dinner included which also had good choices. Pool is lovely & peaceful with plenty of sunbeds, rooms were spotless cleaned every day with fresh towels. The hotel has a shuttle bus in the high season into sorrento which takes approx 25/30 mins we used often.
The little town of Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi, is about a 10 walk from hotel & you can also get the local bus from there into sorrento & other areas also, lots of cafes & restaurants here too, the tourist information was also helpful. Would definitely recommend

Amazing hotel, rooms are kind of small but the views and the breakfast makes up for it. i recommend coming here as a cheap alternative and you have the shuttle to sorrento.

Was pleasantly surprised with large free parking right in front of the entrance.
The rooms are large, with good beds, but rooms in the main building from second floors upwards are recommended.
Nice swimming pool but not that big.
There is a good breakfast and good service throughout the hotel.

What a beautiful place but it is at the very top of the mountain and a 25min shuttle free of charge from the hotel to Sorrento! Which is a great sepping point but the last bus goes back to the hotel at 7:30.
There is a village which is a 5min walk from the hotel although on our first visit we took the longer route by accident!
It really is a lovely hotel with friendly welcoming staff. It is very very clean.
We got the breakfast here a few mornings which is typical buffet style but the coffee machine is really awful!
We had dinner in the restarunt and to our room one night. Last orders are at 9. It is quite a fancy menu with alot of fish options. Our food was very average both nights which was dissapointing as it looked amazing but just didnt taste amazing. But was still decent.
Checkout is at 10:30 and our flight wasnt until 10pm so we decided to hang around the pool area for a while as i have done in so many hotels before with no issues. We had our towels packed so asked could we hire some for the day. We had to pay €10 each to access the bar & pool area which is a joke in my opinion. And €2 to hire a towel which is 100% understandable. And to purchus food or drink you either had to have cash or go back to the hotel and pay with your card which is annoying. In the bar pool area the owner kept walking up and down which was actually really of putting and intimadating. As everyone was simply just chilling by the pool. He made it a very weird atmosphere as he wasnt very friendly or welcoming.

Stayed at this hotel on the 17th June for a week, what a gem of a place, friendly professional staff who where only too happy to help you or to meet your needs. Special mention to the restaurant staff led by Tony, made our holiday a lovely experience, food was first class made from scratch with local produce, as we are vegetarians we were ready for a few disappointments but not in this restaurant they bent over backwards to make sure our requirements were met. The location was good for us but perhaps not for everyone, its on a hill and for people with motability issues it might be a problem. The hotel ran a shuttle bus to and from Sorrento and tours can be arranged with hotel to have you picked up and brought back to hotel. In all a fabulous hotel and will definitely be staying there again .

First time to Italy and so glad we chose this hotel for our stay. All staff were smiling, friendly and helpful, from management to maintenance man. Room on top floor with comfy bed, great shower and amazing views. Food was excellent especially the evening meal. Special thanks to Marco and maitre Tony. Thank you O Sole Mio for a wonderful holiday.
