The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are very very small and the bathrooms are even smaller. Be prepared for that. Our room was super small but the ac worked. One of my friends room was huge but had a super small bathroom and the ac didn’t work. It’s hit or miss. The location was perfect. Central to all the shops across the street, restaurants and retail AND the beach. So you have to weigh the trade offs here. Decently priced rooms, again you get what you pay for. We had breakfast included in our price and it was totally worth it. Their buffet was delicious. Fresh fruits and pasties and just everything. Delicious. Their roof top bar was pretty incredible. A great place to catch the sunset.

Lovely four star hotel the room we were in was ample big enough for two people, The beds very comfortable , The bathroom had a large walk in shower , meals were very good . Drinks at hotel very expensive a bottle of water 5 euros and we saw the same water in the
supermarket for 1.25 euros. Only one complaint hardly any bars open near the hotel and it was a long walk to find one being it was just out of season. There is a supermarket just around the corner on the front which is very good .

All the staff at the Palace Hotel are friendly, helpful, welcoming and couldn’t be better. The hotel has lovely relaxing lounge areas and has a superb location. Breakfast is amazing with a huge choice and The Deco Restaurant food is really great. Just a couple points - no drinking glasses provided in the room and as in most hotels -a lack of coat hangers. Room 310 is spacious, lovely new shower room but beds a little antiquated although adequate but wardrobes need replacing. They have a pillow menu and day 2 I asked for 2 different pillows which arrived in a greenish pillow case. These were not changed the whole stay. ( 9 days) Also think the bed linen should be changed every other day in a 4 star hotel . Towels were soft and fluffy and changed daily.

We recently stayed at this beautiful hotel for 4 nights. On arrival with the reception team we were made to feel very welcome and a pianist was performing music from Puccini. We knew from that moment we would enjoy our time at the hotel. A welcome bottle of fizz was waiting in our room from the team and was a nice touch. Walking around the hotel is just like walking through rooms full of elegance and art. The staff were all very welcoming at breakfast and helped us with information we needed to enjoy our stay in the Viareggio and Lucca region. To complete our stay we had a fantastic sunset meal on the roof top terrace. We hope to return to the Palace again and will definitely be booking the restaurant one again. Thank you all the staff for making this holiday very, very special.

My friend and I enjoyed our 5 day holiday break. It was amazing. Hotel was top for us. Nothing nicer than a beautiful a very clean superior room, with a beautiful sea view and lift for 3rd floor, mini bar and safe in the room. Julian and other receptionists were ALWAYS kind and helpful.
The breakfast room was top nosh breakfast, there was a large variety to pick from.
The staff were very pleasant and attentive.
To the Lido "La Pace" there's a pool, you cross the road opposite the hotel and can use both amenities but this is not included in the hotel price, as there is a surcharge.
Everything was perfect and would return to this hotel and recommend.

Excellent hotel. From the moment I entered the Palace Hotel to check out everyone, no matter their role, were professional. My room was all I needed with an excellent large bathroom. Breakfast is in a beautiful large room with as much choice as you could want. Enjoying the evening sunsets on the terrace with quality drinks and meals served by the nicest people was memorable and just one of the reasons I will return. Everyone made my stay relaxing and hassle free and an extra thanks to Gabriella for your help and advice during our chats after my breakfast.

My husband and I had a wonderful holiday in the Palace Hotel in Viareggio. Staff extremely helpful and special thanks to Francesca who was our first contact when we arrived at hotel. She was welcoming, friendly, professional and so helpful. The Deputy Manager Gabriele, was so helpful and charming and was so attentive to the needs of the guests.
We hope to return to perhaps the Superior Room, though our room was more than adequate. The breakfast was fantastic and staff are so well trained and friendly. Miriam and Sean

From the moment I booked until I left I felt nothing but comfort!
I don't understand how a traveler can complain that the staff doesn't speak English?! In addition, Francesca, for example, speaks excellent German (although I tried to reactivate my rusty Italian ;) ). The hotel is beautiful, the rooms have class and every comfort. The roof terrace is beautiful and the service, as in the entire hotel, is so friendly and anything but fake.
The cuisine is outstanding and the breakfast is unusually not Italian, it is sensational!

A great little hotel. I stay here every time I’m in Viareggio. The staff is always courteous and accommodating and the buffet breakfast is excellent!
