Hotel Le Axidie

Beautiful location but the level of maintenance at the beach club, spa, pool and basic amenities are awful. So much money spent to use the beach or the spa but nothing is ever worked on in the 3 years I’ve been coming. The pool this year is dirty. The kids club is terrible, spa it’s disgusting and old- it only has one lamp to get nails done- no chairs or anything comfortable that a basic spa would and should have. These owners are eating the money and not reinvesting anything towards maintaining or bettering the customer experience.

The Hotel is totally over rated for what it is. Generally speaking it is described as a huge modern hotel with wellness, sea side, Sauna, treatments and an excellent restaurants. Also as child-free. Well, reality is not that.
Eventhough the location is really great, we can not recommend the entire experiancefor that price.

Good & bad:
-the location of the hotel is good, nice view to the vesuv.
-in walking distance to the sea, the restaurants, the ferrybost and the private boats.
-rooms are old and feel „used“. If you are not lucky, it can be very loud. We had a good room with balcony (45).
-hotel offers free parking
-Hotel is huge, but the wellness area is operated by somebody else, so you are lucky if you get two sunbeds at the pool. During the weekends it is open to the public which makes it crowded. To get a sunbed is a fight. -Children are there all the time, only the wellness area is child free.
-The breakfast is minimalistic and each day the same. Nothing special but ok.
-The food in the hotels restaurant (for dinner) is not good quality, but expensive. Avoid it. (Octopus was hard as stone)
-All the restaurants in the area are much, much better for a very good price.
-The Sauna did not work.
-The massage (extra payment) was good.
-Pools are clean and ok.
-The reception personal is extremly helpful and friendly.
-The ladies at the Wellness pool, do not speak English amd seem helpless.
-The hotel provides a shuttle to the closest city.
-Sightseeing tours can be booked locally, private boattour as well. (We took crystal wave and they were great.
-room service is there, but remaining hair were not seen. The coffee cup was taken away on day three.

The location is beautiful but hard to get to, highly recommend arranging your rides in advance. The resort itself is stunning and the wellness center was perfect for us. Where this falls short is the rooms, I would compare it to a super 8 or motel 6, very underwhelming. With that being said we only stayed 3 nights and did absolutely enjoy ourselves, but we probably wouldn’t stay here again.
