Our stay at this hotel was truly unforgettable. The location couldn’t be better—just a short and easy walk into the heart of town, with stunning views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius that make every morning and evening special. The scenery alone makes this place worth visiting.

Max was incredibly helpful in organizing our excursions, ensuring that all of the planning was smooth and worry-free. His assistance made our trip much more enjoyable and stress-free. The front desk staff was consistently friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our stay, making us feel welcome.

The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, spectacular and meticulously maintained. As someone in the hospitality industry, I truly appreciated the high standards of service and the attention to detail. Every aspect of the property exudes excellence, from the spotless rooms to the welcoming atmosphere.

Starting each day with the breakfast buffet was a highlight-delicious, varied, and a perfect way to fuel up for our adventures. The on-site restaurant for lunch was great, but dinner was truly exceptional. Watching the sunset from the restaurant with a drink in hand was an unforgettable experience—something I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting.

My wife and I have traveled all over the world and I have to say this has been the nicest hotel by far that we have ever stayed in. The service is impeccable. The rooms are absolutely breathtaking and they treat you like royalty. We can’t say enough about this place next time we visit Sorrento we will definitely be staying here. A Truly Unforgettable Stay at the Grand Hotel Ambasciatori – Sorrento

We spent 4 nights in Sorrento and had an absolutely amazing time at the Grand Hotel Ambasciatori. From the moment we arrived, our expectations were exceeded in every way. The hotel itself is immaculate and beautifully maintained, with stunning views and elegant décor that captures the charm of the Amalfi Coast.

Our room was spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Every detail felt thoughtful and high quality.

What truly set our experience apart, though, was the staff. Everyone was friendly and genuinely pleasant, always ready to assist with a smile. A special mention goes to Giancarlo—meeting him was an absolute pleasure. His warmth, sense of humor, attentiveness, and local knowledge made our stay extra memorable. He truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

We can't recommend the Grand Hotel Ambasciatori enough. If you're visiting Sorrento, this is the place to stay. We’re already dreaming of our next visit!

Absolutely stunning!! The location and view were great and very easy to walk into Sorrento. Our room and the hotel property was truly gorgeous - clean, spacious, and comfortable. However, the true shining star was the staff. They entire staff was so accomodating, sweet, and gracious. We were traveling with our two year old daughter and they all bent over backward to ensure we had everything we needed. This place is a must stay!

Our 5-night experience exceeded our high expectations! Photos don't begin to capture the magic of this place; its location is superb. We came for the views and opportunity to enjoy them in a serene and peaceful setting. The hotel has a timeless feel that's carefully curated by a staff who seem obsessed with consistency, dedicated to 5-star+ standards.

DO: spend time in relaxing in the well- designed gardens. Multiple outdoor rooms with chaises, various lounge chairs groupings surrounded by blooms and greenery. Songbirds, gulls and the distant rumble of an arriving ferry mingle on the breeze.

DO: give yourself over to the masterful hospitality of Giancarlo and his team that oversee the Afrodite Bar which flows through the main floor lounge areas, adjacent side patio and the prime outdoor seating along the cliff side. Drinks arrive promptly, umbrellas are adjusted, the perfect spot for you will be found as you are ushered into the lap of Beauty. Their ability to read guests is uncanny-- offering delectable tidbits when you need them, honoring your privacy, then reappearing when a refill is on your mind.

DO: enjoy at least one fine dining evening experience in the glorious room that is Ristorante Ambasadore. Dress up a tad, it heightens your experience. The staff will treat you to a marvelous evening served with style and warmth. Order the Suzette dessert for table side flambe! The wine list is extensive, the kitchen turns out delicious food that is beautifully plated. We loved the lamb and grouper main courses.

DO: consider the rate plan that includes the breakfast buffet, we were so glad we did! The perfect ripeness of the fresh fruit available was astonishing -- 5 days in a row and not a green, tasteless hard melon slice to be found! Canalope and honeydew to do for! Omelettes made to order come up quickly.

Other reviewers have mentioned the cleanliness and high standard of maintenance throughout this exceptional hotel. It is a joy to live here for a few days! The housekeeping staff is phenomenal.

Rare is the team that can do BOTH: consistently meet high standards of quality and service AND interact with guests with genuine warmth and connection while demonstrating great polish and professionalism. The afterglow of our stay is still in our hearts.

Unfortunately, both my husband and I fell ill during our stay, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Despite being under the weather, we still felt the warmth and elegance of this beautiful hotel, and it’s a place we would love to visit again under better circumstances. A beautiful middle-age hotel with spectacular views and very helpful staff (many seeking tips, which I understand). This was a once in a lifetime trip to Italy for my wife and I, so I didn't mind splurging, but be prepared for the $1,000+ per night cost for top-level rooms. Regardless, a beautiful place.

Absolutely fantastic experience. The place is old school elegant without the stuffiness. We had a Prestige corner room (709) on the top floor. It had an impressive terrace with incredible views. The service was outstanding...Ludovica and Max at the front desk, and Giancarlo in the bar area. Next time in Sorrento, we will definitely be staying there again.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. The grounds are flowing a huge and many outside areas to enjoy.
The rooms are gorgeous and well sized we had a small balcony where we had drinks looking at the ocean.
I'd advise not dining in the restaurant which is fine for breakfast but cannot compare with the local Sorrento restaurants for dinner.

We took a cab to dinner and when we were done called a cab to return to the hotel. It was pouring and cabs don't work actually when it's pouring so we wanted for 90 min getting drenched. Max the concierge was our hero who finally rescued us and saved the night.
The staff works hard to ensure a great trip and Max is the king of conscierges.
Highly recommend the hotel.

Hands down the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at and definitely the best hotel within the group. The front desk was incredibly helpful after a small run in with some ants, the breakfast was amazing, the drinks never missed, their private dock on the ocean was perfect placement, the air conditioning was the best, and their car service for hire was a massive help getting to and from Naples. Saving up all my money for my next vacation here!
