Grand Hotel Ambasciatori

My husband and I recently stayed at the Grand Hotel Ambasciatori in Sorrento during our honeymoon, and I cannot speak highly enough of their exceptional staff and service. The hotel itself is a dream—luxurious, beautifully designed, with breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples, and top-notch amenities. It’s truly a stunning place to stay.

What really made our experience stand out, though, was how wonderfully we were taken care of during a difficult time. Unfortunately, both my husband and I fell ill during our stay, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made all the difference while we recovered.

Despite being under the weather, we still felt the warmth and elegance of this beautiful hotel, and it’s a place we would love to visit again under better circumstances. If you're looking for a hotel that offers not only luxury but also genuine care for their guests, the Grand Hotel Ambasciatori is the perfect choice.

A beautiful middle-age hotel with spectacular views and very helpful staff (many seeking tips, which I understand). This was a once in a lifetime trip to Italy for my wife and I, so I didn't mind splurging, but be prepared for the $1,000+ per night cost for top-level rooms. Regardless, a beautiful place.

Absolutely fantastic experience. The place is old school elegant without the stuffiness. We had a Prestige corner room (709) on the top floor. It had an impressive terrace with incredible views. The service was outstanding...Ludovica and Max at the front desk, and Giancarlo in the bar area. Next time in Sorrento, we will definitely be staying there again.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. The grounds are flowing a huge and many outside areas to enjoy.
The rooms are gorgeous and well sized we had a small balcony where we had drinks looking at the ocean.
I'd advise not dining in the restaurant which is fine for breakfast but cannot compare with the local Sorrento restaurants for dinner.
Note
We took a cab to dinner and when we were done called a cab to return to the hotel. It was pouring and cabs don't work actually when it's pouring so we wanted for 90 min getting drenched. Max the concierge was our hero who finally rescued us and saved the night.
The staff works hard to ensure a great trip and Max is the king of conscierges.

Hands down the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at and definitely the best hotel within the group. The front desk was incredibly helpful after a small run in with some ants, the breakfast was amazing, the drinks never missed, their private dock on the ocean was perfect placement, the air conditioning was the best, and their car service for hire was a massive help getting to and from Naples. Saving up all my money for my next vacation here!

Excellent and helpful staff; amazing view from the rooms; woke up every morning, opened the door of the balcony and listened to the waves.

The hotel was super clean and there were mutlltiple staff members checking if I had everything I needed in the room.

The private beach is also great, very relaxing, super clean water.

I had dinner at their restaurant twice and I could have stayed there forever. Lovely atmosphere, very tasty food and had some live (mandolin) music in the last evening.

+ Raffaele was lovely.

I would definitely love to go back.

P.S.: It's based at just 10 min walk from the train and bus station.

Loved this hotel! Joined my family here for the weekend and the rooms were clean and gorgeous! Breakfast was very good and staff was incredibly accommodating. Would love to come back with my family again!

Just the most amazing hotel - the staff are all wonderful, so attentive and kind. The view is staggering. The sheer size of the hotel is staggering: a garden, a private beach, a pool, at least two bars, three restaurants, countless seating areas, it’s just incredible. I cannot wait to return.

I stayed here with my wife during busy season July1-5 and absolutely loved our stay. The service was very good and the staff made sure that we were comfortable and whatever needs were addressed. The restaurants in the hotel for breakfast, lunch, dinner were absolutely amazing in taste and some of the best food that we had on our entire trip to Italy. The view was stunning and I keep dreaming about it. I would stay here again in the future if visiting Sorrento.
