And good value for money
I had an uninspiring room with no view. The hotel was rather empty so I don’t know why they didn’t put me in a nicer room. The amenities were at a quality level of a basic hotel - cheap plastic kettle, no personal touch, nothing interesting or exciting. Breakfast is ok but I prefer to go eat out in one of the great cafes in the area. The location is perfect in the old town, but there are much better choices for places to stay here at a lower price.
The hotel itself is very nice and the service is impeccable. I was put in what was referred to as the attic with a VERY pitched ceiling. I hit my head at least 7 times and ended up with bad headaches. It was room 414. Given that the hotel was quite empty, I do not understand why they could not have given me a better room.
It's a very iconic hotel, in an excellent location. Staff very friendly.
Our room had a sloping ceiling which was a bit awkward for a tall person.
The pool table in a beautiful room is a nice touch.
Breakfast was very good - both buffet and from menu.
