Hotel Congress Avenue in Vilnius

Unsafe, dirty, noisy, broken facilities – and the hotel ignored my email and refused to refund one unused night (€180) despite Booking.com calling them 3–4 times with no response.

Key problems during my August stay:
• Safety: Faulty door lock that could not be secured.
• Hygiene: Stained quilt cover and mosquitoes inside the room.
• Facilities: Air conditioning broke down and was never repaired.
• Noise: Extremely poor insulation, I could clearly hear my neighbor snoring all night.
• Service: I checked out early, but the hotel ignored all refund requests. Even after Booking.com contacted them multiple times, they never replied and kept my money.

For the price of over €180, this was unacceptable. Strongly not recommended – avoid if you care about safety, cleanliness, or basic service.

Room and location is good, but staff is not helpful or friendly. On our stay in the middle of night around 1o’clock alarm system started ringing and didn’t stop for more than hour. Where the reception is the sound was not as loud, but there was no place to sit, and near by breakfast buffet with sofas was closed and administrator didn’t let us sit there because it’s “not allowed “ so we had to stand. They didn’t apologize or give us complimentary breakfast after that night sleep, very disappointed with our stay.
