Reviews
My friend and I stayed last year. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed and showed a room where we could leave our luggage and go for something to eat in one of the many restaurants. There was always a large selection of food and plenty of drinks. During your stay you can book a meal in one of the themed restaurants. We chose Mexican and there was a large selection of food which was very tasty, plenty to drink too, for my friend, I’m not much of a drinker.
Our room was lovely and clean. The beach is across the road from the hotel. Regular buses across the road and the indoor pool is an added bonus. It’s lovely and clean with a jacuzzi.
All staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant manager always greeted us with a smile and the lady in the shop told us about the travel card you can use on the buses and where to go.
The animation team put on a great show every night.
Thank you for a wonderful stay at your lovely hotel.
My main complaint and why I'm not rating this higher, and 3 is fair, simply comes down to very poor communication between the reservation staff and the front desk, and the front desk staff with each other and lack of willing to work with me on a mistake we both made - 2 months prior to my trip I shifted the date of our arrival and departure by 1 day (Originally arriving Fri to Sat then departing from Sat to Sun) This was changed by the reservation staff. However, I didn't' double check it. (I assumed they understood the request - this was my mistake) When I arrived I found they had REDUCED our stay by a day and had us checking out on the Saturday, not Sunday as expected (This was their mistake as I could provide evidence of my request). Over the next 3 days I tried working with them to resolve it and often felt pushed aside or was asked to check back later, when I did, the next front staff person didn't know about the issue. Thus it became a goose chase to resolve. In the end I was left having to pay the EXTRA day but at their highest booking rate. (I had 3 rooms so ended up paying a roughly $800, which was 30% more than the nightly rate previously booked for 7 nights) There was very little sympathy from the front desk to reduce the rate given it was half their fault to something that matched my previous booked rate.
Edit update: In response to the Hotel Feedback. I did book directly on your website.
Opposite beach. Service very good.
Food in a lacart restaurant’s much better than buffet managed to book into all 4 over our 1 week stay. Housing keeping maid Wilma very good kept room clean every day despite kids bringing tons of sand back. Great for families
There’s a really good choice of foods in the restaurants for both adults and kids.
The “on tap” drinks are ok. Passable is how I’d describe them. If you’re a wine / Spirit or beer connoisseur you’re probably looking at 5 or 6 out of 10. We are in a group of 26 people of varying ages. One comment a lot of the parents are making is that there isn’t the option for the kids to get an ice cream. Lacks the option for a free magnum or Lolly ice cream as these have to be paid for, which isn’t all inclusive.
Overall though the kids are really enjoying it.
The pool areas are big and the pool itself is very child friendly with ankle high walk in for toddlers. I don’t mind cold water but the pool is on the cold side for kids so get em splashing around and they’ll soon warm up.
I think they would do well to tweak the opening times of the much warmer indoor pool as 12 till 3 is adults only which we didn’t think was ideal.
The Hotel is directly opposite the beach so excellent for swapping between a pool and beach day.
The evening family entertainment has been good too.
Overall I’d say it’s a good Family Hotel and with one or two tweaks that could have been raised close to excellent. No complaints though as it’s a big Hotel and must be very hard to please everyone.
Especially the room service was very friendly and clean! Thanks to Sunny for the great service! Sunny was also very friendly to our boys, which is not a matter of course.
The service at the pool bar is fast and friendly.
Also the bartender at the Sports Bar is very accommodating and we had nice evenings there.
We have been coming here for the last 12 years. The whole family enjoys it and it is perfect for every age. The resort is very clean, food is wonderful (different restaurants to choose from), many of the staff are very nice and above all Marion is exceptional. She takes care of every detail and makes sure that guests are perfectly happy, welcomed, relaxed and comfortable in anyway possible. Thanks again Marion.. for everything. You made our stay exceptional.
We went outside, and there were bees and wasps EVERYWHERE because people kept leaving drinks and stuff out. Also, lots of the people who were staying at the hotel were very common, rough, trashy people with absolutely no manners whatsoever!
The food was absolutely terrible. It’s all cheap food, and the menu never changes. We were all completely sick of the food after a few days. The themed restaurants are terrible. We ate at all of them and were extremely disappointed. We tried the oriental restaurant, and the food was absolutely disgusting. The sushi was hard and frozen. Then we ordered Mongolian beef with noodles, and it was absolutely diabolical!
The dome, which is the entertainment area, absolutely stinks of sweat, vomit, and various foods.
The “All Inclusive Plus” is a complete scam. All it is is just slightly better food and drinks in a glass. That’s it! Completely not worth it at all! They also don’t stock the minibar in the rooms if you don’t have “All Inclusive Plus,” which is a complete joke for a “4-star hotel.”
The staff were brilliant, though. They were very friendly and kind, so we were very glad to have good staff.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel at all. This hotel is easily a 3-star at most, not 4-star. It’s incredibly overpriced for what it is and not very clean. Wouldn’t recommend. 👎
Ample sun beds plenty of room.
Food was reasonable.
Reason for only three stars for service, bar staff could have been more pleasant, most of them didn't give the impression they wanted to be there.
However average four **** rating so not bad.
