Firstly, we had a very nice stay.
The room was nicely and modernly decorated. everything was clean and we had a nice spacious balcony.
rooms are a bit noisy.
breakfast buffet is just good, they had a lot of things and it was tasty. The hotel is centrally located in the center and the bus stop is a 5-minute walk

Price-quality wise, just amazing. Friendly and helpful staf, clean rooms, delicious sauna and a very pleasant indoor pool. Sadly it was a bit too cold for me to swim outdoor (on the rooftop). Very very pleasant stay. Highly recommended for the price.

Came from St Paul’s bay to use the spa on a rainy day. Lucia kindly managed to book me in for a hydro bath treatment on the day and allowed me to use the gym, sauna and pool for a very good price..

We had a wonderful stay at the Solana Hotel. The hotel is centrally located in Mellieha, just a 2-minute walk from public transportation, making it easy to reach all the major attractions in Malta. We were upgraded to a room with a breathtaking view, and everything was spotlessly clean. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive—when my son fell ill during our stay, they checked in several times to see how he was doing. We’ll definitely return to Solana Hotel if we come back to Malta.

We stayed here for 3 nights and the hotel is lovely! The location is great if you want a quieter stay! But transport is so easy to get around if you want to explore! The pools are nice, the restaurants serve lovely food and all staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful! We had a standard twin room and wow they were massive! We will

Everything about our stay at Solana has been most impressive and pleasant - two nights were not enough. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms new and aesthetically pleasing, the pool area beyond spectacular and with great service, we enjoyed also the breakfast and the gym. Thank you Solana family.

This hotel is perfect for everyone. Very helpful and friendly staff - shout out to Milena and Sergio from the rooftop (spectacular views from there) 😁 Rooms adjusted to the needs. The daughter enjoyed swimming pools. It is located in a very handy place - easy to get anywhere - the bus stop is just across the street 🙂 Highly recommended ❤️

Our stay at Hotel Solana was too short.
I rarely stay in hotels, and usually leave feeling underwhelmed.
The Solana exceeded our expectations. Reception staff are amazing; kind, attentive, and very professional. Our room looked out to sea from a sheltered balcony and had incredible views. The room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. I was quite happy to spend a quiet evening relaxing after a hectic week whilst my daughter went out with a friend. The rooftop pools and bar have amazing views and are well maintained with sufficient facilities for guests. The lady working on the bar was especially lovely.
Breakfast is a feast with a huge variety of choice. We were in a rush to catch our flight but would have liked to linger longer to enjoy breakfast in the bright, airy breakfast room. Probably the best breakfast selection and location of any hotel I've ever stayed in.
Mellieħa seems a very charming town and I would love to visit for longer.

Overall the experience was satisfactory but not worth the price we paid for the 'superior room'.
We were woken up at 7am by construction/maintenance occurring right outside our room for each day we stayed there. There was no prior warning of this. I mentioned this to the staff (he was understanding and sympathetic) and the compensation was a fruit platter and a free 30 minutes in their hydro massage bath (this was underwhelming for us. The temp was mild and we actually left before our 30 mins were up).
The hotel itself is a bit of a maze requiring a lot of navigation to get between room, reception and breakfast area.
The room was very clean and comfortable. It was quite cold though and we couldn't figure out how to work the heater to bring up the temperature but this didn't affect us too much as the room temperature was just about manageable.
There was a leak in the bathroom and so the floor was constantly wet in there.
Breakfast options are very good as long as you're not vegan.

If my review was based on the quality of the staff this would be a 5 star review. The hotel is undergoing building work. The work starts at 6.30. This means that it's noisy from early morning. There are no service lifts so both builders and the staff use the guest lifts. On one occasion the previous passengers had been plasterers. Getting to your room is difficult. You need to use both lifts which are separated by a long corridor.Frequently there are long delays We could not find a staircase There is no signage to help. .On our first morning we had breakfast on the dining room balcony. Alongside a large skip size bucket was being raised and lowered from the roof to the basement (?) by a crane.
This will be a great hotel when it's finished.
No one offered an apology for the inconvenience.
