10/10 hotel!
We stayed here for 3 nights and the hotel is lovely! The location is great if you want a quieter stay! But transport is so easy to get around if you want to explore! The pools are nice, the restaurants serve lovely food and all staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful! We had a standard twin room and wow they were massive! We will

Everything about our stay at Solana has been most impressive and pleasant - two nights were not enough. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms new and aesthetically pleasing, the pool area beyond spectacular and with great service, we enjoyed also the breakfast and the gym. Thank you Solana family.

This hotel is perfect for everyone. Very helpful and friendly staff - shout out to Milena and Sergio from the rooftop (spectacular views from there) 😁 Rooms adjusted to the needs. The daughter enjoyed swimming pools. It is located in a very handy place - easy to get anywhere - the bus stop is just across the street 🙂 Highly recommended ❤️

Our stay at Hotel Solana was too short.
I rarely stay in hotels, and usually leave feeling underwhelmed.
The Solana exceeded our expectations. Reception staff are amazing; kind, attentive, and very professional. Our room looked out to sea from a sheltered balcony and had incredible views. The room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. I was quite happy to spend a quiet evening relaxing after a hectic week whilst my daughter went out with a friend. The rooftop pools and bar have amazing views and are well maintained with sufficient facilities for guests. The lady working on the bar was especially lovely.
Breakfast is a feast with a huge variety of choice. We were in a rush to catch our flight but would have liked to linger longer to enjoy breakfast in the bright, airy breakfast room. Probably the best breakfast selection and location of any hotel I've ever stayed in.
Mellieħa seems a very charming town and I would love to visit for longer.

Just came back a week ago from an amazing vacation on Malta, with a lot of thanks to Solana Hotel & Spa. As soon we stept in everything was taken care of. The rooms were absolutely beautiful, spacious, very clean and with all the supplies you could have needed. The staff were super nice and helpful, a special thanks to Adam from the reception, he gave us amazing tips to do, and found my hat which i lost somewhere in the hotel. The breakfast area was huge and there was something for everyone. The location of the hotel was in the middle of Mehiella, which made everything walkable or you could take a Bolt/bus. I absolutely loved this hotel, extremely clean, the beds are comfortable, the food is also really good, theres even unlimited wine and hot beverages! Me and my friend had an amazing experience, the staff at the hotel are amazing, i want to give a special mention to Darko, he was absolutely incredible, extremely polite, professional and friendly , he checked in on me and my friend multiple times, he went above and beyond, nothing like i have ever experienced, initially me and my friend weren’t very happy with the room we got when we checked in, Darko efficiently dealt with everything and moved us to another room the next day, they even gave us a bottle of wine due to the inconvenience. The pool has an amazing view, it’s jaw dropping, lets talk about how good the location of the hotel is! Close to shops, tourist attractions and bus stops that took us to everywhere on the island, including valletta, St Pauls Bay, Golden Bay etc.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, i should’ve stayed a week!

Have been pleasantly surprised by our stay, for a 'cheap' Easter sunshine getaway, it has over delivered...4 star seems fair.

The staff have been great, including finding my wifes lost headphones! Have been particularly impressed by sasa in the restaurant who went above and beyond every day, including remembering our drinks orders without any prompt and interacting with our kids. Sandip was also super friendly and helpful.
We upgraded but the 'studio' we had initially booked also did what it needed to do!

The food has been very good, for buffet service there were a range of different options every day and mass catering done to a decent level. Sometimes food service gets boring but not here! Take advantage of the free beers at dinner, cant go wrong with estrella...the wine on tap is what youd expect from wine on tap, so not for the connoisseurs (im not one!)
Would recommend half board as theres a stack of restaurants across the island worth visiting.

The renovations are all but finished and so the rooms are clean, modern and spacious.
Have everything you need included within, whether your full or half board. I can understand why some people would be bothered by some of the works but it didnt impact our stay at all and worth the inconvenience for the fresh feel in the hotel.

The lifts take a bit of getting used to and could do with a floor guide in the 2nd lift to let you know where everything is, more than a few lost souls with us included... rumours are there's one lad who has been going up and down in the lift looking for his room since September '23.

Neither pools are heated but would recommend the roof top one as the views are top tier! One of those things, 'once youre in its lovely!'
A nice place to relax and sun soak if thats your thing, once the bar opens up there you could be there all day, but for now the staff are more than happy to bring drinks up from the reception bar...the lobby by the way is beaut!

Mellieha is a tourism based area so a little 'brits abroad' in places but is a good location to base yourselves in. People are generally welcoming and friendly, Frank's car hire worth contacting, 20-25 euros per day doesnt seem unreasonable.
