Maritim Antonine Hotel & Spa

I stayed here for 6 nights in February, after previously staying here for 10 nights in August 2024. In August I could not fault the service, the staff, or anything this hotel was perfect, However upon returning in February with my parter I had found a few issues with this hotel. Upon checking in there was 2 amaizing staff members who helped us check in, they were so welcoming! However on one of our first nights our smoke detector went off in our room because of the steam from the shower and the smoke detector was placed right outside the bathroom door, this was not a problem, reception rang the room and checked everything was okay to which we explained it was just the steam, a couple of minutes later there was very loud banging on the door to which one of the hotel staff came in and was extremely rude and made out like it was our fault, he was completely and utterly rude that this made me feel uncomfortable for the foreseeable stay. Unfortunately this was not the last time I had to deal with this man, towards the end of our stay our safe broke and wouldn’t open, I contacted reception and a lovely women helped and assured me a man would be up to sort the safe out, not long after, the man came up to our room and it was the same rude man, he was again very rude and insisted it was my fault for locking the safe, even tho I did nothing different? And he again made me feel uncomfortable, I said thank you and he just slammed the door behind him. This wasent a launguage barrier issue, he was blatantly rude on multipul occasions. My final issue was the indoor pool, as it is February the outdoor pool are cold which means there is 1 pool shared between all the other people staying this in this hotel, on the door it clearly states kids are allowed in between 12-4pm, everytime I went to use the pool around 7-8pm it was full of kids screaming and not being monitored, I comepltly get 4 hours is not a long time for kids to use the pool however the hotel could easily extend the kids swim from say 12-6pm and then after that is adults only, it’s very annoying as I brought this up to reception and they reassured me that they would monitor kids in the pool however nothing changed. After this I would not stay at this hotel again, the hotel itself is lovely, majority off staff are amaizing and polite and the food is always lovely, facilities are great! However there is just a few things that make a big difference to me.

This hotel is more for families not really for solo travellers. The room was nice and the sea view was nice. I tried the breakfast twice and it was good. I didn't have water for more than an hour in my second day there which was very surprising as it's a 4 start hotel and they didn't have a back up generator. My last day there one of the elevators wasn't working. I tried to cancel one of the 9 nights I paid for but the client service manager couldn't really help me. If you wanna go out and have a nice night life I wouldn't recommend staying here.
