Reviews
From the first contact point, the reception (Prisca, Michael, etc.) to reservation and event management (Kyle) to the restaurant (Ramon), the bar and food (Ian), house keeping (Nirmala) and many more.
This resort is
1. Super clean, rooms bright and spacious
2. Well managed, with staff that likes working there
3. Up for going the extra mile to satisfy customers.
We would give 10 stars if we could. Appreciated every moment. Thank you. Will be back soon!
We stayed in a deluxe Seaview room on the 6th floor. The view was lovely. The beds are comfortable and the Nespresso machine really is the perfect touch! :)
It's a lovely property with good facilities, the indoor pool is lovely, and more so the outdoor pools (obviously we did not use the outdoor pools in February).
Its quite isolated so getting to restaurants on foot could be tricky, however they have some nice restaurants on the premises. We dined at Vecchia Napoli and it was delicious. If we should go by smell, the food at Guzeppi's smelt delicious too.
Breakfast is great. They have a large selection of freshly prepared food that was replenished all the way until closing time. The hot food selection is lovely and includes pastizzi - a typical Maltese savoury pastry.
Ideally one should never experience issues when on vacation, but when it happens...and these things do happen... the way it is handled takes the experience from a memorable one to a nightmare.
We came across a technical issue while residing here, Italo and Philipe have been so nice in handling it that honestly, I cannot fault them in anyway.
Thank you :)
Positives - massive rooms, big balcony, amazingly decorated restaurant for Christmas, staff are very polite and helpful, massive lobby with comfortable sofas, amazing views, reasonable prices for the lobby bar.
Negatives- beds are really hard, the walls have lots of stains, the balcony had cobwebs throughout our 1-week stay, one of the bedside table was broken, and the TV was losing signal every 30 min. The indoor pool was very limited, the jacuzzi had lots of pubic hairs in it, the balcony light was on until midnight and you were not able to switch it off, the transfer bus was not available, no shop on site, the breakfast was the same every day, nothing special for Christmas day, the sausages were terrible and the ham tasted off every day, the playroom was always locked or the pool table was broken. Nothing was going on for the guests to enjoy on Christmas day like a little show or anything, which was strange as all other big hotels in St. Paul's Bay did. The tennis courts were always fully booked, so basically you had to spend your day elsewhere!
I was very disappointed regarding indoor pool, first of all you have to book to use the indoor pool and the timings for children are very limited from 10.00-12.00 and 17.00-19.00 even when no one is using the pool. There should be an alternative indoor pool to keep children busy when this is the only Attraction for kids during winter seasons.
This is the only reasons I wouldn't come again.
