Airport Garni Hotel in Belgrade

BASIC BASIC BASIC .....Very disappointed in what this hotel offered. Pictured better than was. Very close to airport, however rooms are small, when we tried to open window curtains, they fell to the floor. 10 minute shuttle to airport was 14 Euros extra. Lobby extremely small and full of smokers. Room was extremely basic, however it was clean. Bed had sheet with blanket, you make up bed yourself. wi-fi is good. Bathroom is acceptable, clean. Neighborhood surrounding not amenable for a single woman traveller. looking for a restaurant closeby.

Good location, close to airport and dinning.
No elevator, so, if you have a language, request the room on the first floor, otherwise you have to carry language upstairs.
Room are modern, clean, nice settings.
Staff are pleasant, not super professional, ei. the phone was out of service for days, Staff wouldnt try to contact me by email to confirm reservations.
I would recommend the hotel for short stay.

The service at the hotel is terrible, it's a private hotel, the staff is not professional. Almost no one speaks English and they pretend that they don’t understand anything. There is no elevator (lift) to take your suitcase to the 2nd floor. The service is bad regarding payment, you agree on one payment, but in the end you pay a lot more. I reserved a hotel room at Garni airport hotel in advance for my mother. The hotel is located over the road in the village, room is very cold and noisy. To make sure I made the reservation, I gave my credit card information after reading the sad reviews from other customers. My mother decided to pay for the hotel herself and I called and reported this, because at that moment they did not debit the money from my credit card. When my mother returned home, 2 days later I saw that my creditcard had been charged for 1 day of my mother’s stay. I wrote a letter with evidence and photos that my mother paid for everything herself, but when I called they lied that this was not so and that they could not consider the evidence. They want me to send them proof again. The taxi driver (shuttle) took money from my mother for early check-in at the hotel, although I informed the hotel about this in advance, and the hotel didn't inform me about the additional payment in case of early check-in. I didn’t find this information on the hotel’s page either. The staff likes to argue, they don’t want to give my money back and come up with something new every time. They pretend that they don’t understand anything and all the time ask me to send all information about payments again, they have all copy's for all our receipts. The hotel staff deceives visitors. Fraud!!!
