The resort is on the beach. On the terrace this environmentally friendly resort cushioned sun loungers. Guests can relax by the large outdoor pool with a waterfall. The luxurious rooms are decorated in bright colours and beds with white linen. The restaurant serves a variety of Thai, international and Swiss cuisine.

The staff when we arrived were helpful & nice, but on checking out we were charged a ridiculous 500 THB for a misplaced room card and made 10 mins late while trying to catch a flight while our room was 'checked'. Have never had this experience at a 4* hotel.

It is located on the main street which is great for day time but at night it is pretty noisy because of the clubs next door.

In general, the L resort does not have the feel of a 4* hotel. You can get much better value for money in Krabi. The poolside rooms look nice, the other rooms are just fine.

Positive notes
- the breakfast was good
- beach towels provided at reception are useful (but probably an obscene charge for misplacing anything so would be careful)
- the pool is good enough

We had a great 3 nights stay at L resort with 3 kids in two rooms with a connection door beween the room and one extra bed.
The rooms are large and clean, the staff is nice and very helpful.
The pools are gtreat with fresh water without any chemicals and unpleasant ordors.
The only thing we disliked is the breakfast that is very basic and limited, but our kids usually woke up so late that we missed the breakfast anyway, thats why it did not bother us.
The location is superb in the middle of the busy shopping street with lots of restourants, travel agencies and the beech

Welcome drink: Good.
Breakfast: Hmm a bit so so. It is a buffet but the selection is so so.
Room: Spacious and clean. The balcony is pretty decent too.
Location: A long the main road, very near to everything.

We had a fantastic 10 day stay at The L with our 1 year old & entended family. 4 stars because the facility is a little tired, but everything otherwise excellent! Michel & his team/all staff we had contact with were consistently friendly & helpful, the place is kept very clean, delicious daily breakfast with great variety, lovely pool area with one pool shaded from early afternoon, daily room service (we appreciated this so much!! Loved the creative towel animals). Good central location, Beach just across the road, restaurants & shops in both directions. Cot provided for our daughter + were able to store our pram downstairs, staff helpful when our daughter needed medical attention. Great value. Highly recommend!

Lovely place, warm welcome on arrival with a much appreciated cold drink, the rooms are well furnished big comfy bed, excellent air conditioning which is an essential, good size shower room with complimentary shower gels shampoo etc. nice towels and bedding, which were changed everyday if desired, also provided pool towels and beach towels, all public areas were clean and well kept, dining room a good size, good selection at breakfast. Lovely staff all very polite and helpful, service with a smile. Well done!!!

Pros + :
+Location. It's across from the beach and beside many restaurants and shops. Very walkable. Couldn't be better.
+Breakfast buffet. It was delicious. They have a real coffee machine. The salad dressing was great. Many choices. Fresh fruit. Eggs made to order, etc. Beautiful atmosphere with an ocean view.
+Clean. The room and common areas are clean and pretty.

Cons - :
- the shower alternated between scalding hot and freezing cold with or without touching it. Showering was miserable.
- we left the housekeeping sign on the door when we went on a boat tour. We had to call and ask for things when we returned that afternoon because they never came.

If the shower situation gets fixed, I would absolutely return and give 5 stars.

Great breakfast - we mostly ate the fresh fruit, hot station, and the coffee machine. The rest on warmers are really not hot at all, so it doesn't taste so good. Staff is friendly, although we found the men to be more helpful. The women tend to respond in a cold manner. The pools are clean and nice. We came for our honeymoon and they set up our stay very nice. The location is excellent if you like walking around the main strip (a bit touristy, but still nice). Also, easy to plan tours as the tours picked us up at one of the stores on the main strip and dropped us back off at the Ao Nang Boat ticket place (L resort is right across). This was helpful as we were typically tired after a snorkel excursion, etc.

The hotel itself is really nice. Clean, modern, nice pool and great staff. Location is good because it is close to the beach and the long tail boats, so you can get away from ao nang and get to the more beautiful places and beaches around. If you want to stay in ao nang, I would recommend this hotel.
