Phu Pha Aonang Resort & Spa

Great reception. Pool was good and calm surroundings with trees. Bugs can be found at balcony because of the trees. Wifi connection to our room was not strong because of the distance may be. No intercom to communicate. You can call their number through your cellphone. No complimentary breakfast was provided.
Rent your scooter from outside as their price is little higher than outside shops. 1km to beach with quiet area to stay.
Bathroom has this rustic decor. Hence not so clean.
All the toiletries were provided.
Check in and check out was smooth. 24hrs front desk available if you arrive late.
Wooden cabin style rooms are very pretty and they did a free of cost decor for my husbands birthday with local flowers. Loved the 3 nights stay here.

Staff and Service:
First and foremost, the staff is outstanding. The ladies at the reception have been nothing short of excellent. I rented a motorbike and needed to return it before my departure at 5:30 am, and they accommodated this without any issues. We also booked an island-hopping trip directly through the reception. Although the pamphlet advertised a price of 3600 baht per person, we only paid 2800 baht as they found us the best deals. Similarly, the motorbike rental was originally 300 baht per day, but they secured a rate of 250 baht per day for us. The lovely ladies at the reception truly deserve a raise!

Location:
The hotel is situated away from the main, noisy streets, yet it is close enough to walk to them. The walk to the beach is a bit far, but since I ride a motorbike, it wasn’t a problem for me. Additionally, there is always a tuk-tuk lorry available on site at frequent intervals to take guests to the beach.

Room:
The room, while old, has its charm. I loved the balcony where you can soak in the views and enjoy your morning coffee. Given the proximity to beautiful mountains, mosquitos are to be expected. However, a mosquito spray from 7-11 for 60 baht resolved this issue for me. The pool is good and always clean. I didn’t opt for the breakfast, so I can’t comment on that.

Overall:
An amazing place. If I ever come to Krabi again, I would definitely stay here.

Cheap price and amazing place. Staff were most friendly and the pool was clean. Gym is a little rundown but better than none. Free shuttle to the beach too!

Great place for a calm stay. Very good price/quality ratio.

Hotel is located bit off the main road and beach area. This means that you can calmly rest among the tropical trees at the pool.
Hotel offers 4x a day a shuttle bus to the beach and back which is great option.
Short walking distance (5min) from the hotel there are shops, many street food options and pharmacy.

During the day pool bar offers some non alcoholic drinks and food. You can bring your own drinks at the pool without a problem as well.

Rooms are spacious and decorated with wooden elements. Bathrooms could use small refurbishment therapy, however it was not compromising the stay in this place.

Rooms are cleaned daily. Fresh pool towels are available daily as well, you can bring them to the beach as well.

Nice hotel, a little bit out the way (10min walk to town) staff all nice, room clean the air con spat ice cubes out at one point haha, nice pool quiet tranquil surroundings with back drop of rock cliffs :) Laundry service good. Toilet flush takes long time. I must ask why was someone placed in room above us (bit noisy) when there was maybe 10 guests and at least 50 rooms? Spread out man!

Best place we stayed in on our month trip through Thailand. Nice and kind English speaking staff, well equiped and clean room, pool that was in center of area, right next to it bar where you could order drinks or food. Beach was in a walking distance of about 20 minutes or there was a free shuttle from the hotel in specific times. Cannot recommend enough as we have only good memories from this place

I have stayed at Phu Pha Aonang Resort & Spa for a few days, and absolutely loved it. This is a small relaxing resort with wooden houses spread out around the swimming-pool, in a beautiful tropical garden setting, with a special vibe. The whole staff (reception, breakfast, pool bar, housekeeping) is very friendly and always ready to help, even if communication can be a little difficult at times - I wish I could speak more thai! I stayed in a superior room on the upper floor, which I really liked. It was very similar to the pictures I saw online. Bottles of water and coffee/tea are provided in the room, for free, everyday. I enjoyed working or just sitting on the balcony, surrounded by tropical trees and plants.

Breakfast is good. It is a buffet with eggs, fresh fruits & vegetables, ham/sausages, rice, noodles, yogurts, bread, etc. and at 150 bahts, it is of good value compared to the restaurants in Ao Nang. While the basics stay the same, a little something new was offered everyday during my stay (French toasts, brownies, pastries, etc.).

I honestly do not understand some of the bad comments I read: the rooms are nice, I didn't notice amy bad smell. The place is not super modern, but it is what makes it so charming. It may be important to keep in mind that standards in Thailand are different than in the West, including regarding cleanliness.

A free shuttle to the beach is available 5 times a day, but it is only a 20 minute walk if you would like to go at other times. I have been traveling in the country for a month, and this is my preferred place so far.

The best accommodation we stayed in throughout our trip through Southeast Asia. Staff very friendly and professional. They helped and advised us on everything. Magical place surrounded by nature with mountains in the background. Perfect for people who want to disconnect and two streets from the center of Ao Nang. It seems taken from another world.
